If anyone having trouble with the 1 lap challenge at Nurburging in the seasonal event.

Did it on my first try using the Rocket '07 on Sport Soft tires, got into 1st right before last turn. Total time of 8:08.707

550PP, 183HP, Sports Computer tuning upgrade, Ballast weight at 61KG. Set my top speed to 182MPH so that their was more than enough speed through the straight aways.
i did it with the ferrari gto '84 past first by the 3rd last corner b4 the straight then just pulled away

I wanted to add just one more thing to the mic discussion from earlier. At the end of the race, don't start yakking it up as soon as you cross the finish line. Wait until all drivers have finished their race before discussing your race. I have been guilty of this in the past and I know it is hard to contain the adrenaline but even though you have crossed the line, there are others still battling. Just something to think about...

I would like to join.

@APIOQM

Here's your official S.N.A.I.L. Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the S.N.A.I.L. OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the S.N.A.I.L. OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below. Now if you've actually read this, post a :dunce: in this thread.

6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to S.N.A.I.L.

The only driving settings i had on with the rocket '07 was ABS set to 1, No traction control, Skid Recovery force on but the rest turned off. I found the Rocket '07 to be very stable even at high speeds. Sport soft tires.

Thanks for the hint to use the Rocket. I tried with various others without success. Finally beat the SLR after a few tries!

I'm so close with the LFA nurb edition, need a few more tries for the perfect lap ... I have a personal block against using cars above the set pp
@LLOYDZELITE69 post a hot lap for the seasonal with the lfa. ....or any car for that matter. Seems to be one of the more difficult ones we've had;)

Practiced the combinations for Sunday. Got to grips with the Skyline pretty quickly (as long as I stay away from the sand) and Just enjoyed the Vantage around Nurburgring. Now just hoping the connection stays put.

How to file a Racing Incident Report

This process has been adapted from the GTP OLR Rules (Section 17), but simplified, automated and made more applicable to our league. Failure to use the The S.N.A.I.L Incident Report (IR) Submission Form will result in your IR not being accepted as "official". Therefore, do not expect any action to be taken, if you don't use the form. Additionally, if the data you provide is inaccurate in any way (i.e. round, race, lap number, but especially, timestamp) we reserve the right to invalidate your IR. If your IR is invalidated, it will be annotated and shown here, and you will risk fish slaps and ridicule on the main thread, and, more certainly, the ire of the steward corps.

***********************************************

Instructions on how to accurately report time stamps in an IR.

The Form asks for time in Hours, Minutes and Seconds. No tenths, hundredths or thousandths are required.
From a replay, at the top right corner of the screen is the race time. Enter this value from as close to the beginning of the incident as possible.

SNAIL Sunday races will never exceed an hour. That field should always be 0. The race time shown above would be entered as shown in the next picture.
View attachment 227234
***********************************************
All racing incident reports must follow this procedure:
  1. All incident reports must be submitted at The S.N.A.I.L Incident Report (IR) Submission Form, by 11pm Eastern / 8pm Pacific on Monday night
    • Multiple incidents will be entered as separate submissions.
      • Do not group distinctly separate incidents together, in one form entry.
    • When self reporting an incident, enter your ID in both driver fields.
      • If you like, you may forward a copy of your notification to the driver you commited an infraction against. Recommend using GTPlanet's messaging system.
  2. Our stewards will then review the reported incident(s) and determine what penalties, if any, are appropriate.
In case the procedure regarding race incidents is not followed and the driver decides to discuss the racing incident in public here on the S.N.A.I.L. forum, the driver may be given a warning or an infraction (in case of repetition or blunt accusations) by one of the S.N.A.I.L. admins.

PLEASE NOTE: If you are the driver an incident report is filed against, feel free to tell "your side of the story" to your Division Steward so that he can relay it to the rest of the stewards who will be reviewing the incident. There is no need to reply to the driver who filed the complaint against you unless you want to and are able to do so in a completely non-confrontational manner.
Okay I got it.

Dig-4 Drivers: I noticed that several on the Part-time are not on my Friends Listing. Tonight's racing will be run in a Friends Only room. If you intend to race tonight make very sure you send an FR this afternoon.
DO NOT WAIT UNTIL THE LAST MINUTE.
