The SNAIL Oval racing series will continue to run one-off events until the course maker is released and then only if ovals can be made with it. I may begin to look at some open Friday nights for oval racing.
That would be a blast, I've never done one of these with SNAIL.

Its a fully customizable "dash"with up to 5 "screens"it can show any i formation the game sens out ... shifting lights, gears, speed, brake information like time on brakes or distance and temperature ... tire pressure and dirt indicator ... fuel calculations like how much on right now ... how much u use this laps how much u used previous lap how much you need to complete race ... timing ...live delta time ... sector deltas ... it can basicly do everything ...
It can even show live telemetry curves to compare woth previous lap or best lap so you know exactly where you mess up while still on track.
you tell the app what to show and you can place everything where yph want you can also use any color combination etc ... its really well done ... its called dashmeterpro and i use it on my note 1 wich was just laying around collecting duat anyways since my main phone is a note 3
Also compatible with project cars but im only using it for assetto corsa because i dont have projectcars yet
Will you be able to watch the road with all that info?...don't forget your cell phone too...

Hi, ive been participating in some of your practices last couple of weeks and id like to join.

@lomuchacho

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the SNAIL OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below. Now if you've actually read this, post a :dunce: in this thread.

6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Can't wait to get the scoop on what they're going to show off...

What was the race they set up for you guys?

@DMacs13 you are on the clock for Prize A. If you have not made a selection by noon eastern time on Wednesday (that's a little over 36 hours since the all clear was given) your prize will be opened up to anyone who raced in your division to make one suggestion for the entire league to vote on those suggestions for Prize A.

@DMacs13 You have a little over an hour and a half to make your pick or it will roll over to your division mates.

Did you type that right, 3+ million miles???? I'd say you're higher than average. I don't recall where I'm at, but no where near that.

Gran Turismo is wrong in this case. If you drove non stop at 300 miles an hour for a year you would only travel 2,628,000 miles. Even if that number is in KM that would still be 1,999,487 miles. That would mean driving non stop for 365 days at 228.25 MPH. The game hasn't even been out for a full year but the numbers at one year show how out of whack your number is.

Ok. Thank you for clearing that up. I will actually look at the game next time for a stat.

Sounds like what you're looking for is something like @Oshawa-Joe's Open-Wheel series. I was actually mentioning to @Dragonwhisky last week that the Open-Wheel series might be due for a revival since the Senna proved to be such a popular car. 👍
I'd like to have it be a mix of Sunday and Wednesday night. Longer races, on normal tire wear, but no pit stops.

If you've seen the Pirelli World Challenge racing series in real life, you know what I'm after. They have 45 minute races with no pitting for fuel or tires. Just 45 minutes of straight hardcore wheel to wheel racing.

I want this, but not a 45 minute race. 20 minute races with 10 minute qualifying would be great. Really get a chance to smooth out your slow spots for the perfect lap by the end of qualifying and then 20 minutes to push it real hard with no worries of fuel load or tire wear. 30 minutes per race, a few races per night, could be a nice 2 hours of racing.

I'm not sure if I want it to be the same car/track combo all night or have the car stay for a "season" and change tracks each night and each week. This would get more tracks into a season, but less overall time on each track. Some info would be great. I'm also not always available on Tuesdays so if this idea got rolling someone else would have to be host while I stay as creative director.

Thoughts?

The deadline has arrived and there has been no word from our Prize A winner. Everyone who raced in D6 on Sunday night is allowed to make one and ONLY ONE suggestion for Prize A. The suggestion must be made here in the main thread. Drivers will have 12 hours to make their suggestion. The suggestion period will close at 23:59 Eastern time tonight. At that time, I will make a post with all the valid suggestions. Once that post is made, any driver who raced (except for D6) can vote for one Prize A that they would like to race. The Prize A with the most votes will be the choice. Voting will close at 5:30 PM Eastern time on Thursday. That will leave enough time to get the word out and be ready for practice on Thursday night.

If you are tagged here, you raced in D6 and can make one suggestion. If you make multiple suggestions or suggestions that are not one car and one track then all your suggestions will be thrown out of the voting process.

His profile shows activity on the forum, so what's the deal? Holding the whole gang up here @DMacs13......

In these situations is the original prize winner allowed to make a suggestion? Just wondering for my own reference.

The new Subaru Vision GT car has this weird thing it likes, if you use just the right amount of throttle you can roll off the brakes sooner than you think and use the throttle to pull the front of the car through the corner... but do too much and you get awful power-induced understeer. It's got a crazy amount of torque so you have to be careful. There is a lot of time to be gained by getting on partial throttle early though, it seems.

In the seasonal event, the car drives like a severely overpowered FF car. If you stop, and light up the tires, only the fronts spin up...... You can't change the torque balance in the seasonal either. I was convinced it was an FF car in the seasonal. They really could have setup the car to be a bit better in that situation. It's like going car shopping and test driving a great car that will only show you 50% of it's potential.

Fish slap me if necessary.

Where is that miles driven profile page coming from? How is it synced to GT6? And if its based on the profile info in GT6, doesn't that only count miles driven in career mode and not online or am I mistaken?

I went to Hollywood yesterday participating in the GT6 competition hosted by Chevrolet and Sony. I met some very cool SNAIL members in person: @Neovre , @chatva , and some others whom I don't know the usernames. You guys were in variety of divisions from 1,2,3,4, and me 8 lol. I thought you guys won the top 3 spots so congratulation!!! I thought SNAIL members are more on the East Coast but I'm very surprised to see some of you in Los Angeles. Great and fun competition yesterday! I wish they would give 1 practice lap and 1 final run.

Once you visit the community tab and setup your profile, it will show up on the main tab for your profile. Otherwise, you can go to your stats page on the far left of the main menu. I'm not sure if it logs online miles as well. I would believe so, because my Vantage V12 is now my most driven vehicle due to being in the Sunday races for 5 weeks.

It's located on "My Page" on the Profile / Status tab. My mileage looks right, 31,031.9
