The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Nissan R390 GT1 Road Car '98 (Sport Soft tires) at Circuito Di Roma - (9 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @aLmk wins Prize A, they get to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Aston Martin V12 Vantage '10 (Sport Soft tires) at Apricot Hill Raceway - Reverse (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Nicktune gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @USERID_77a23 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history or other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated,so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more importantis that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, no car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

There isn't an official deadline for timing data to be entered. The November results will be archived and those sheets will no longer be available for editing after that. The results will be archived sometime Friday or Saturday this week, so all timing data should be entered before that to be included in the archive.
As you saw D6 Data is done, But the Total Time for Round 2 Race 2 was missing. I was not able to enter it. That must be locked to me.
It is 10:35.220

Got it. Thanks! If you get time, would you enter the start positions for the first race in each round?

The problem with a football game (or any other sport) is that we have to have a 100 numbers with the same likely hood of getting picked. It could work if we just needed 10 numbers (by picking the last digit of the combined score), but that's just not the case here.

We thought about using one of those before, but that's nowhere near as fun as going something like this (click the links), where the prize finalists are winning and losing the prizes repeatedly before the final winner is determined! :D
how about use the highest D1 drivers best seasonal lap in the closing time trial

Another possible idea is the SNAIL ROC. A few of us have streaming capabilities, so long as one spot is left for one of us to do so we could live stream the event. I will volunteer for it even.

@DGuzmanG

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide.
Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You take the SNAIL OLR and Racecraft Test

2. You run the Time Trial and submit your information by 23:59 EST on Saturday night if you want to race this Sunday.

3. @JLBowler PM's you with your assigned Division that we feel will give you the closest competition. You will be added to the drivers list.

4. Send a PSN friend request to the Race Director or Primary Host from your assigned SNAIL Division. Sunday night you will need to sort the online lobbies by friends and join the lobby named 'snailracing.org Division_(x) based off your Division placement from JLBowler. That lobby will be where you race Sunday.

5. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below. Now if you've actually read this, post a :dunce: in this thread.

6. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.
If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Ok, thanks for my officialy super warm welcome! It's been quite a lot of reading and then finding more interesting content so more reading. (Been at it since 2:00 p.m. so yep, :dunce: that's my face).

In regard, to what @Dragonwhisky said:

Results to Washington and New York from Speedtest.net:

And now from Pingtest.net:

Although I don't now how good or bad these numbers are, I have to say I've never had any problems with online racing (Well appart from the occasional "Disconnected from server" in Quick Match mode, but on a room, never.) As for me being a guineau pig, ok.

Tomorrow I'll go for my Time Trial! You guys are incredible! Congratulations on such a well organized and documented league!

Club Events

There are now several "Club Events" open to all members of SNAIL [Spec] Racing. They are all Time Trial events using past Combos. From what I have seen of TT events begun at another club, there is also a leader-board associated with this type of event. The instructions for joining a Club Event can be found here and are quoted below.

To take part in a club event, select it from the list to proceed to the Event Details Screen, then select "Enter" from the right side of the screen. Once you have entered, select "Room" from the right side of the Event Details Screen, and select a room for that event. On the Room Selection Screen, you can join the club event by selecting an existing room, or you can select "Create a Room" to create your own room for that event.
Apart from "Enter", the other options on the Event Details Screen are "Add Comment", which allows you to write a comment about the event, and "Invite Friends", which allows you to invite friends to join the event.

It is my intent these events be cycled every week and go back 3 weeks. We'll see how much "admin overhead" it takes to keep up with it.

Any suggestions on ways to improve Club Events will be appreciated.

Hi Guys,

I've wanted to sign-up for a while now but the time difference has always stopped me.

I recently noticed that you had some time-trial events going on via the community menu and I was wondering if you could send me an invite to join Snail via the ps3, just so that I can have a go at the TTs really.

PSN- numbnuts70.

Thanks for reading.

Welcome @numbnuts70. Are you looking to only run the time trials or do you want to join us for racing in the Sunday night (9:30PM Eastern) time slot?

I'd love to join you for your racing slot on Sunday nights but does that work out at 0230 GMT?

If so, I might only be up for the TTs , sadly.

Im putting together a short list of tracks. After work run a few laps and make my decision.

do you want to do some testing with a few tonight?

@Schmiggz are you afraid of Big Suzy?

There are a few others racing in your same time zone. So the question is..are you up for it?

Management is talking this over. We'll get back to you as soon as we can. Lots of sticks in the fire for SNAIL at the moment and some of us don't juggle so well.

I have a question, I know in the Original Post says tuning prohibited. But after looking at some pictures of last Sunday's race I don't know if suspension is allowed or if it's just the bodyroll...

And after reading some of the earliest posts (probably a lot has changed since), it said people could install everything that didn't raised the PP nor HP....

So... Is it rim only? No wings either? (I'm more like, double checking my thoughts).

Also in regard to practices... I'd like to not only practice speed but racecraft as well... And although good racecraft and OLR at all times, could any penalties for off-track (As I try to find the feel for the car and master the track sometimes I just go out a bit) or minor contact happen or be applied in any practice run?
