Cat and Mouse Update!

Ok guys. Looking through the car list now. Here are the requirements for the cars to be used

Mouse:
  • Max PP: 280
  • Max Weight: 750kg
Cat:
  • Max PP: 455
Wild Cat:
  • Max PP: 560
All PP ratings are as seen in the dealership. Tires for the event are going to be RS. Tire wear, damage and penalties are all off. The event will start with a 1 lap race at a short track. This race will determine teams. Any odd driver out will be the Wild Cat. Tuning is prohibited. Laps will be such that the duration of the race will take roughly 10 minutes. We play till we are done.
The Rules: These are pretty simple. Smash, crash, defend your team to the finish line. The first team to get there mouse across the finish line wins. The only backwards driving allowed on the course is a cat to its mouse, or in the event a cat is pushing a mouse backwards. This means no starting the race and circling the track backwards. And I think that just about does it for those. Moving on.

Pro tips: Team work is essential, if you have a mic, use it. Defense can be as useful as offense. Team work is allowed across teams in the event there is more than 2 teams.

And the most important rule and tip I can give, have fun!!!! If this game doesn't make your face hurt as bad as your arms, you are doing it wrong.

Have my cars, have them ready. Looking forward to it. Did you say 8:30 pm EST, Rally?

I hope @Chiochan or @zer05ive drops by.

Ive yet to buy my cars. Ill get them as soon as I get home from work. Oil change allowed? I should be on about 645 PST. Late, but if you're still going I'll be there!

The car is tough to drive at Motegi because the corners are a bit too slow for the cars liking. It would be better suited at a place like Grand Valley, Suzuka, Apricot Hill, or Brands Hatch. It drove very nicely at Brands Hatch.
It's nice at Apricot Hill. Just got a 1:23.6xx. We're already at Suzuka and it was already at Brands Hatch so we can't use those next week.

I agree, I was just throwing tracks out there lol. It think it would be a great car to race at Nurburgring GP as well. It drafts well, so turn 1 would see plenty of passing opportunities, as well as the last chicane. Either way, I won't be racing it unless it survives until Jan 11th!

Agreed. Although there are those slow corners that some don't care for. I don't see the big deal myself. I would like to race it there.

I wish I was around to race this weekend. I love all 3 combos! I don't think the proper racing line is more important than it is this week.

I just did a 1:55.562 in the Lotus Elise 111R Race Car at Grand Valley Speedway. Totally clean but could probably shave a second or so of if I was in D1. I'm a lowly D6'er

Make that a 1:54.296. Damn that was flying. And I messed up the entry to two turns.

Count me in. Never done a C&M before, except on DiRT3... Should be fun!

Considering the name and nature of how it goes down, cat and mouse wasn't the right now for whoever came up with it. Cats don't help mice. Smash & Mouse would work. :D

I think you're underestimating D1 lol. I bet D1 will be in the 1:50.xxx range.

I wish I could get lap times for Mrs. Elise (she's getting mature now.....) on Grand Valley (I guess in the 1:48 - 1:54 range) and for the Nissan on Silverstone (I guess we are going to have a split over the 2:00 min barrier, so it's going to be interesting if we will race for 10 minutes or 12 minutes....)

I just finished installing my new GTEye spring. Haven't pushed it yet... Couple of more minutes till Cat and Mouse. Good break in I guess.
