Thanks for the well wishes gang, it means a lot!

The next morning was fine because the surgery was done and I was still high as a kite hahaha. It's been difficult dealing with such limited range of motion, and the effort I need to put in to simply get up and go to the bathroom. The first few weeks will be like this, so I'm trying to keep my spirits up.

@brntguy I was thinking the same thing. This is the first time I've broken a bone, so go big or go home right? I did go pretty big off this drop, and landed fine, but the rideout turned out to be much worse than it looked.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, quite the way to start the new year!

Not for those that cringe at queezy things. For those that don't mind looking at ruined bones, here's the damage. Leg muscles shortened my leg after the break by almost 2 inches. I'm now out of the hospital and recovering well. I travel home on the weekend and probably looking at over 4 months for a full recovery, at best.

I know the feels bro. Just getting off a dislocated shoulder injury.

All this complaining about Tokyo bogles me!
It's so easy!

Don't run up to the first corner at full speed and think you can make it!, instead at the pit-out down shift without letting off the gas, then go another gear down and let up, at the red and white stip start braking and down shifting till your in second and let off the brake and turn, at the apex start to throttle up and get third and exit right next to the wall, FLYING,!
peddle the second corner in third, get fourth on exit and stay off them curbs and exit near every wall at full power without a touch of the wall.
Same for all the inside wall, don't touch em!

Yeah, muscles can do strange things when bones break. Years ago I broke my right elbow just where the lateral tricep was attached to the bone. The muscle contracted and brought a piece of bone way up near my shoulder.

Just as well it wasn't attached to the gluteus maximus or I wouldn't have known my a$$ from my elbow!

Easy?... So we should see you in D1 soon eh?

None of us adapt to every combo the same. Some will never grasp it by the time it goes away. I took to the Elise at Brands very quickly and was running competitive times within my division well before the weekend. Same with cappuccino. Sometimes I'm on top of it, sometimes I'm not. I do, however, always know where the track boundaries are. :)

Anyone fluent in Chinese? When I log into the community page on gran-turismo the page loads in Chinese. Wondering how I can get to something like Settings or Options to turn the page back to English

Hi, i signed up little over a week ago, when do i find out what division im in?
Monthly Promotion and Relegation is not quite complete. When it is, messages will be sent to all new drivers, letting them know what division they are in and instructions on how to join the club.

Give it some more time, you don't necessarily need to know your division until raceday which is Sunday. What I would do is run the time trials and see where you stack up against the rest of the field 👍
The Time Trials Events are only available to club members. Non members are welcome to run their own practice and compare their times to the boards as posted.

Same happened to me a while back. I existed the community, restarted the game, then re-entered the community and all was fine. No idea why. Hope works for you as well.

Geez man.. You said you broke it, not that you shattered it!

What all did they do in surgery? Do you have enough metal in your leg now to be considered a cyborg?

@diabolicwyvern might be able to help get you acclimated assimilated?

I don't have the follow up xrays, but I'll try to get them to confirm. From what I was told leading up to the surgery, it would be a titanium rod down the center of the bone, with screws holding all the bits together. Should be enough metal to get the attention of retail stores and the airports :P

Today has been rough. Very difficult to stay mentally strong when I can't get out of bed without sweating, coughing and wheezing, and having to take a break. These simple tasks require monumental efforts for these first few weeks. Once I'm through these first 3 weeks, when the swelling goes down, and the bone starts to reattach, I think things should get easier. Until then, wish me luck!

2014 was a very good Snailyear. We welcomed in our family a bunch of new guys that reveiled to be awesome guys, good racers and mostly, good friends.
It was a year full of tremendous competition, blood sweat and tears splashed on the asphalt of this beautiful game's race tracks, promotions and relegations, taps and crashes, arguments, discussions, harshness and true brotherwood.
This is the world of Snail. It's not a perfect world but we love it as is, unconditionally, with a strong feel for giving without asking back and if this awesome world exists it's due to a collective effort of over a 100 people, racers, gamers that share this passion.
But, we shall never forget that none of this would exist if it wasn't the dream and the vision of one man from Texas, that one day decided to gather a few clean drivers and start a tiny league of gentlemen.
Then, more great people was added to the crew and Snail, consistently, kept growing to what is today, the Granturismo's largest organized league in the world that had the pleasure to introduce to the world some of the finest GTAcademy finalists.
Therefore, I would like, first of all, to apologize people like Zer05five, Dragon Whiskey and specially JLBowler for my wrong ways of trying to do things right and every single one of you that I might had mistreated or disrespect and wish to all Snails a magnificent and tremendously happy 2015.

Of course my g27 bit the dust over the last 2 days. So it was under warranty. I have to wait on warranty department to send shipping information then send it off then wait for the new one. So I could only find a T80 thrustmaster locally. I got it at gamestop. Too bad it cost almost $550. Oh did I mention that included PS4....

You will probably get your shipping information via email within 24 hours. Once you ship it, Logitech will immediately ship our your replacement. They didn't wait until they received mine when i did a warranty replacement. I had my new wheel in 4 business days.

I can only imagine what the bungee cord resistance in the T80 is going to feel like after having proper force feedback.

The only reason I got T80 is Dts I want to race.
my wife told me to go ahead and order T500rs so I will have a better spare. And it is compatible with PS4.
Did I mention that I LOVE MY WIFE.

You got a keeper there. Mine is letting me have a PS4 as soon as I find a bundle that I want. I almost pulled the trigger last night on just the system with one controller for $349. I'll keep looking around. Costco and Sam's Club throw out some deals that are hard to pass up. As for a new wheel. I already have the go ahead from the wife to get whatever I need to make project cars work the way I want it to work on the PS4 when it's comes out. Right now, I'm looking at the T300RS with the upgraded pedals. I may add the shifter at a later time if the clutch is modeled properly in the game.

So... If I start shopping for a PS4 and wheel, which wheel should I look at?

Any bundle suggestions?

My G27 pedals are great - I thought that was the biggest upgrade I immediately recognized over my DFGT.
