Practicing camera work/uploading photos!Look Q,3 wide!
hey scary clown :scared: lol. you have half the trick to taking greqat pictures covered. you seem to hve an eye for great angles. not that i am an expert but this is my usual way.

when i see a moment i like i first go through all the cameras numbered at the top of the screen, some may suprise you but most are just long wide angled. sometimes a fixed camera angle can give you a great idea then all i do then is to switch back to the free moving vam ''cam 1'' and try to recreat the angle from the fixed cm but get it to the right position .

but most important thing i learnt from the guys mentioned by STEAMER is to experiment with shutter speeds and exposure. my trick is to set the shutter speed around the speed of the car to be photographed. hope my tips will help you show us what you see when you look through a lens.. now to go erase that scary clown from my memory lol

I am ahead of the posse! Being from this side of the pond means I have to stay up late to race with you guys but, on the flip side, it allowed me get my hands on Project CARS before most of you and I've being playing it for the last few nights. 👍
How do you like it?

I was going through some old files this morning and stumbled across this... Old school SNAIL from July 2012. If it had wheels we raced it! No drama...

I guess now is as good a time as any to elaborate on this post from last week. At this point, it doesn't look like we'll get the pre-launch Logitech support that many of us were hoping for, but please reply to this post if you plan on buying Project CARS on PS4 anyways.

Also, since @cmbeal317 is no longer running the SNAIL [Enduro] Series, there's now a big hole in our weekly schedule. So if you reply that you're getting Project CARS on the PS4, please also state if you have any interest in a Project CARS series on Saturday nights. :)
I've downloaded the PC version, had some problems at first and still on the fence!

@zer05ive you're idea is great but the moment I acknowledged that in one of the stupidest commercial moves that Sony decided to take banning Logitech from they're list of supporting equipment for the following PS4 that i decided that i don't pact with corporate monopoly games and moved towards the built of a super gaming pc and make my project cars career in that platform.
Another factor that helped me in that decision is that at the moment, the very best racing simulators in the world are all sitting in the PC platform leaving the poor playstation with one single title that keeps falling down the rank in the market preferences, granturismo.

Very much. Graphics wise, it's a huge step forward and from a physics PoV it's much more sim-like than GT6. Whether you're using a wheel or a controller, it's not the same pick up and play experience you normally get with playstation racing games. You have to tweak the general wheel/controller settings to suit and even then you need to fine tune the steering of each individual car.

I've only had a couple of nights on it so there's plenty to learn but overall I'm very impressed with it so far.

Is their anyone that can help me here. I am trying to watch the PWC races on my PS3 but apparently it isn't available.

Most of us with Logitech wheels (me included) are frustrated that they're not supported on the PS4. However, nobody really knows the exact reason they're not. To say that Sony has "banned" Logitech is a bit of stretch IMO. I think initially people assumed that Sony had signed some kind of exclusive contract with Thrustmaster, but that theory has been disproven now that Fanatec is supported.

As for your decision to not to "pact with corporate monopoly games", how do you plan building your super gaming PC without doing so? If you think Sony is a corporate monopoly (hint: they're not), then what do you call Microsoft? A super monopoly?? Or perhaps a double monopoly since they cash in on both PC and console gaming?

Just out of curiosity, what do you consider to be the best racing simulators in the world? And if there are so many out there, why are you opting for Project CARS instead? And as far as your reference to the "poor playstation", try not ever paying for a single upgrade on your PC (to either the hardware or the OS) and check back with me in nine years (the number of years ago the PS3 was launched) and let me know how many of the games that you own that are even worth playing.

New driver placement and a driver's list update will be coming in the morning (pacific time). We played in Oakland today and we got done early enough to have the other coaches and a few parents over for drinks at my house. I just got everyone out and am headed to bed myself. Had to leave for the tourney at 5 AM and it's been a long day.

I'm sorry @zer05ive but you might be wrong here. Acording to all I've been reading that was a sort of commercial strategies clash between Sony and Logitech that caused some celeuma and friction between the two companies ending up with Sony not providing Logitech the essencial programming codes for they're equipment to work with the new PS4.
Regarding Fanatec and what it's CEO, Thomas Jackermeier was posting on twitter a couple of months ago was an open suspicion that Sony had given Thrustmaster the exclusivity for PS4 support and that Fanatec was trying to open a round of negotiations with Sony to let Fanatec in. Apparently they achieved success.

Here is a situation where I'm not interested in seeing the whole picture as it would be interesting in any other situation. Of course there's monopoly issues, fierce commercial strategies that often hurt someone else in any corporation or medium size company in the world. The thing is, I'm only focused on the racing simulation issue here and as far as I know, Microsoft won't force me to throw my fairly new and in perfect condiction Logitech G27 in the garbage to go buy they're exclusive supported equipment.

Right now, I consider by far, as best racing simulators Project cars, Assetto Corsa, Iracing and rfactor 2 due to overall quality, realistic physics and sounds and field diversity for classes within the game. Granturiso offers 1200 cars, 3 quarters of it nothing short to useless for quality racing, outdatted, poor physics and shameful engine, gearbox and tire sounds. Although I've only personally experienced Assetto Corsa, I'm a youtube subscriber for some of the most viewed channels specialized in sim racing where I exchange opinions and learn every single detail of what is going on right now in the sim racing world. On the other hand, according to some ratings posted on the Internet by several specialists, Granturismo has been falling down the table of sim racing enthusiasts preferences sitting by now in the bottom of several top 10 listing in the net.
Sim racing enthusiasts is in bold because GT6 is still a paradise for drifters, cruisers and drag racers.
