I heard from another SNAIL that the bumper cam is on driver side. That is to say if i'm using bumper cam and the car is set left side driver that my bumper view is orientated on the left side of the car and not centered in the middle of the car.

Can anyone verify this? i've done a few different searches on google but have come up with nothing to support this.

Bumper cam in gt6 is central. This can be verified by changing views on track whilst putting the car on a perimeter line according to its position relative to the gauges on screen.

It's been my experience that the cars slightly favor the seating position in bumper view. I can't verify, and it may be all in my head. But when I alter my line based on the left or right seating position, I see positive results. Again, this may all be in my own head - a rather crowded place. I would love some concrete verification on this as well.

Hey Guys,

Ran into a group of your players last night (High Five City, SCHMEDRacer and Nobbymcnoberson), and they seemed like a pretty legit group of guys. They let me run a few laps with them, and though I was a 3-4 seconds off their times, they assured me that there would be a division where I could fit in. The rules are a little intimidating, mostly afraid of just making violations by mistake...or just out of general noobishness. Not so used to racing other players, so I'm sure my racecraft will need work (knowing the rules is one thing, properly applying them is another) - usually I am just doing time trials and that sort of thing (so not having to deal with live players), and we all know the AI is not much preparation for real world situations.

Still, I like clean racing so I'd like to give it a try. I submitted the rules/racecraft test, and will wait for an invite to do the time trial test.

Cheers,

You've come to the right place. don't be afraid to make mistakes... Is what you do after doing them what truly defines a good racer from an ordinary driver.

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

It was great running with you Jaguara! Once you get assigned to a division (and if you have time on Monday night), check out Pack Racing! The group there is awesome and it is a great way to work on wheel to wheel (or door handle to door handle as is often the case) racing. There is weak boost so if you fall off you will catch back up and be right back in it. All divisions and skill levels are welcome. Please see the link at the top of this post. My phone wouldn't let me put it anywhere else.

I look forward to seeing you on track!👍

The beauty and genius of SNAIL is that no matter how fast or slow you race, there's a division where there will be wheel to wheel action for you.
For me at least, it was the best thing to have happened in regards to GT. No other option has come even close.

We're still planning our Project CARS series at the moment. I can't tell you exactly when it/they will be launched, but definitely in the works (and will have new threads once they go live) :)
sorry man was going to help get something going but i graduated on friday and i've been a bit busy

Happy Birthday @zer05ive!!!

For the first time in many weeks, I will not be in attendance on Sunday night. Other priorities have arisen. And I really like this week. Let's hope the Z GT500 stays and the Alpine gets a new track!

I'm glad I made it home in time for the last combo, my personal favorite if I'm totally honest. Finished the night with a smile because great clean racing the first few laps. Really good stuff from everyone. I noticed on Lap 1 of both races we went through the first few turns at 10 or so MPH slower than the limit. Let things smooth themselves out as we go. Thanks for the great time guys!

Fun combos tonight -- although I was disappointed that a had a mechanical failure in C2R1 (wheel wiring problem - every downshift put me into neutral ), I still had a great time, as always!

Normally I'm more of a race car guy, but boy, that Alpine is a dream to drive. Anyone have good track recommendations for it? Deep Forest was fantastic, I think I may take it for a spin on Trial Mountain next.
