Great idea @Engmatic1! For the video, can I make a suggestion? The text is hard to read against the flag images. What about having the flag so it only uses a portion of the frame, leaving a small section for the text? Or put a ticker sort of bg for the text, like you see on news or sports broadcasts.

There isn't really a concrete policy, but overlapping events is something we try to avoid. We've had overlapping events in the past, but history has shown that it's generally not a good idea. It's hard enough to establish and maintain a quality series with staying power.. No point having our own events compete with each other and make it that much harder.
The Wednesday night series only allows a certain number of drivers, which is based on qualifying. Wouldn't that be an opportunity to host a less competitive, or easy going series? I've always avoided Wednesday night RCS because of the intense competition (dominated by the lower division drivers), and unlikelihood that I'd get to actually race.

I understand the Wednesday Night Race Car Series is loved by many, and in no way is this an attempt to discredit all the hard work that Grim puts into it. Please don't take this as any kind of negative criticism towards the Wednesday night series!

GGG's Touring Car Series is no more, so there is room on Tuesday nights now. I was thinking about making a new series as well but it takes a lot of work to do as one person. Need some help. I'll gladly help you get some ideas roling.
Yes tcs is closed but plans are already in place and approved for its replacement on Tuesdays
But that's gonna be in Project Cars right? We're talking about something in GT6 that everyone can be a part of. Not everyone has PC yet.
Yes, the new Tuesday event is going to be on Project CARS. I'm excited about this because not only will it be our first venture outside of the Gran Turismo franchise, but more importantly it'll be our first event on the PS4. Once GT7 comes out, I think it'll be great for us to have the ability to have events on both game under the same platform (PS4). While it's true that not everyone has a PS4/Project CARS, that all the more reason why I'd like to give this new series as much focus/attention as SNAIL can provide for it, and I just don't think that's possible with another active SNAIL thread featuring a Tuesday event. If you'd like to organize a Tuesday SNAIL event for GT6, you're more than welcome to coordinate it through this thread. Another option is to just start a non-SNAIL thread as long as you understand that it'll operate completely independent from SNAIL.

@Engmatic1, Here's my stuff. Great idea! Thanks.

Just what i wanted @Falango , imput and positivie critique so we can all improve the look of SNAIL. Your idea is great. I put the video up just as a template so you guys know what I had in my mind and why I need your help to transform a good idea into an awesome result

Last night we tested all of these. Incredibly the most fun and closest was the Alpine; however it does top out at 3 or 4 parts of the track at 122mph. However, all the other twisties are super fun.

We did a 5 minute quali in one race and it works as expected. You can qualify based on sectors; depending on the car you should get past the 3rd sector on a 6 min. qualifier.

  1. Alpine - Best suited for all divisions.
  2. Aston V12 Vantage - Superb, but easy to drive off due to the weight.
  3. Elise 111R Race Car - This one bites. Very smooth steering is needed.
  4. FTO Super Car - Easy to drive suited for all Divisions.
  5. Nissan Z - Lots of fun but car control would require a lot of practice.
Thanks to @TomMang_68, @Tangled_Up, @IceManFan_7, @singlepaddy and I'm drawing a blank on the other

Thanks @Wolfsatz for the nord test. Really enjoyed it, I was sawing the wheel like a mad man and it takes your full concentration but it was still a blast!!!
Enjoyed the Vantage and Elise the most.

BEWARE THE GREEN HELL....MOOH HA HA HA !!!
Good fun … the track kinda grows on ya after a few laps. No need to worry about being passed cause you gonna see’em again a little further on down the road.

@Raw10_2u
Tip. In order to minimized the over exposure of the 3rd and 4th shot you can move the camera and focus on the 21 car without any sky being the darkest place of the picture; once you get the reading, then you move the camera back to the original frame you wanted to shoot.

Alternatively, you can do one or both of these. Change the level of the camera to include more grass and/or asphalt and less sky and adjust the EV settings in this case going down a few notches. Not sure if you have read Easy Tips for Better Pictures see the EV section.

Hope it helps. You got good eye.

Here are @JoeW TIPS.

I'm a little:banghead: 🤬:grumpy: this morning. Don't know if PCars has anything to do with it or playing with my wheel on Windows, or if this was just inevitable to happen and the timing just happened to be shortly after I started with PCars - BUT, my G27 Wheel is not keeping the top centre position. It drifts to the left. It has never done it on PS3, but since it started to do it on my PC a week ago it now also started to do it on PS3. With the GTA time trial last night, I unplug the the wheel to reset it and by the time I get to the end of the first lap it is off centre by 45 degrees. It will keep doing it - so I can only do one lap and then I have to unplug and reset the wheel again. I gave up a race on PCars the other day when it went beyond 90 degrees because it is getting almost impossible to drive by then. I checked on the internet web machine and it seems to be a common problem - and I don't want to take the whole thing apart into pieces to fix it.

Any ideas on what is causing it and how to fix it?

If anybody is interested in joining me and @MajorBlixem this weekend for an endurance race.

Edit: Let's try this one (older version without performance numbers)

The room host will be me or Major and we'll call it GT-R Nismo Endurance Special or something like that. Will open the room at around 9:00 pm eastern.

Regulations are the same as SNAIL, except for the ones specifically stated in the spoiler.

Sorry as well. But indeed the GT1 series has lost many players so or grid is looking very slim. So anyone that can race GT500 cares will be more that welcome to join us.

The races start at around 9:30 with a 10 minute qualifier regardless of track. And it is one 50 minute race. 4 weeks in a season
