Sorry for being blunt, but I really need to race here yes.

If your location is accurate and you really are located in England, please be aware that our races start at 9:30 PM Eastern Time. This means you will be racing sometime around 2:30 AM on Monday. I mention this because there have been a significant number of potential new members that have overlooked the start time.

@ZedMan1996 - so you're ok with our start time?

Looks like we are getting a good response for this Sunday Enduro Challenge. I think we better start a sign-up sheet so we don't have any disappointed drivers on Sunday.

Rules
90 Minutes Race
Mandatory Pit Stop with Mandatory tire change.
Tires available for this race are:
- Sport Soft
- Sport Medium
Normal SNAIL rules except tire and fuel wear will be on "very fast"
Time: Sunday @ 9:30 PM EST (Normal race time)
GT-R Nismo '14 @ Silverstone

Just post and tag me somewhere in the thread if you want to participate. I will EDIT this post to keep the driver's list current. If I missed your name yell at me.

Driver List
1. @Rednose58 (-10 PP)
2. @MajorBlixem (-5 PP)
3. @TomMang_68 (-5 PP)
4. @STEAMER62 (Full PP)
5. @USERID_77a23 (-5 PP)

9. @Adramike (-5 PP)

Handicap System
Since we will have drivers across divisions we will have a handicap system. You are allowed to make your oil change but you have to dial down your power based on the following:
D1 - D2: -10PP
D3 - D5: -5 PP
D6 - D7: Full PP
I am interested. Put me down for-5 pp

I stand corrected on the NASCARs. PD has taken it upon itself to take three different cars and give them all the exact same specs. Just another instance of PD dropping the ball when it comes to realism. Gran Turismo is quickly becoming nothing more than Need 4 Speed with a ton of cars.

As for an official ruling on NASCAR, each year will be it's own model. If it were to be chosen, we would race one year and any manufacturer would be OK to use from that year.

If anybody is interested in joining me and @MajorBlixem this weekend for an endurance race.

Edit: Let's try this one (older version without performance numbers)

The room host will be me or Major and we'll call it GT-R Nismo Endurance Special or something like that. Will open the room at around 9:00 pm eastern.

Regulations are the same as SNAIL, except for the ones specifically stated in the spoiler.

Count me in also!

@ZedMan1996

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL :cheers:

Random Car Recommendation: TVR V8S

A V8 powered british roadster that only weighs 1,050kg... very underrated car.
Great car. I was given this shirt for christmas:)

Prize C - Circuit de la Sarthe 2013

Lap times? Probably gonna only get 3 laps in right?

Happy to see this track picked but it does throw up a question about race length. We'll have to wait to till later for a judgement to be made regarding mid division laptimes but just as a quick experiment I ran a 3 lap race on my own and the total time came in at 12mins and 7 seconds (4:05 opening lap followed by 2 x 4:01s). It was my 1st run with the combo so I'm sure there will be some improvement but as it is a fairly straightforward lap (ableit a long one) I would think the mid division laptime would be there or thereabouts.

A 2 lapper will come in just over the 8 minute mark so would it be possible to make an exception regarding the 12min max time to facilitate a 3 lap race?

@JLBowler

I've been doing it for about few weeks now and at first I was skeptical, but now I'm sold. That thing is pretty cool and you can argue with better performance backed by statistics.

@redsoxboy80, in order to have access to those graphs, do you need to be a paying member? I haven't done so yet, but I'm considering it, as I'm in a family that has a dementia history and better safe than sorry...

Yes @FlipJ you have to have the subscription,and with that you get access to all the different games and the graphs and progress tracking.

@JLBowler
I would like that, but a 3 lap race just doesn't sit well with me. Even if it is at Le Mans.
