A few weeks ago I was selected as Nissan Fan of the Week via their Twitter, for this tweet. They were nice enough to send me a shirt as a "prize". I received that shirt yesterday and it's a pretty sweet shirt. Here is a pic of me wearing it. It says, "I spent most of my money on my NISSAN and wasted the rest".

And here is my run from the Autocross on Sunday. I had 2 faster runs, but they weren't clean. This placed me 8th out of 25 in the street class.

Alex Zanardi is human being I would very much like to meet and talk for a little while. And I'll obviously be rooting for his car in the Spa 24, where he'll be sharing his modified car with 2 other drivers for the 1st time.

And this bit of story brought on all the feels: "Before the project was officially announced, but there were rumours and whispers within BMW, what really made me very happy and touched me was the fact that nearly all of the drivers in the BMW family got in touch saying they wanted to be my team-mate.”

This dude is something...

Thought you already had one?
Dude I had to use twelve zip ties, a piece of wood as a spacer just to make it work and I had to spray dust off behind the paddle shifters as I was getting double down shifts with one touch!
The peddle's sucks butt but I must make it do!

Yes I have t500 to prep on for national you can pick it up a few days before I leave to nationals.
I also have brand new g27

Really?

That's crazy just to get it set up in your rig but the pedals can't be that bad. Or other pedals are just that much better. I've only known the DFGT since GT5 first came out and it's worked fine for me so far.

I though the DFGT pedals were good enough right up until I tried something else and then I realized how much better the other options available truly were. The G27 pedals are light years ahead of the DFGT pedals and I'm sure there is other stuff out there that is much better than the G27 pedals.

Have an old racing buddy from the track who races a fully loaded e46 M3 and a vee... Lets just say he isn't penny pinching. Anyways, he's got the fanatec pedals for iRacing... Guess who's building him a racing rig? Hopefully get to test it out after I'm done :D

@chatva
Hey Chat, it isn't all that effective but, I stuff the area under the brake pedal pedal with a closed cell foam. It helps when modulating braking. It's definitely not perfect, but it is better than stock. I will give blowing out the shifter buttons a try. I keep getting double and triple up shifts when I least need them, usually exiting a corner. My wheel has recently been giving me double down shifts as well (when it shifts at all). Thanks for the tip.

For me, the dfgt is better than a controller because I really, really suck with the controller!
Much respect to the SNAILs who use them!

I've said it in this thread before, and I'll say it over and over again, that man is one of the most inspirational and positive human beings there is. He took a near death experience and turned it into a new challenge. Just watch this, and you'll feel a lot more motivated to keep going after that dream.

It's Tuesday (at least for the western half of the continent) and the lineup post is updated too!

What's next? A plethora of banner worthy photos?? :D

Now let's get pictures so I can make some banners!

Just as a heads up, I won't be able to make the banners next weekend, as I'll be off on holidays. Does someone want to have a stab at a Canada Day and 4th of July version of the banners?

This is probably also a good time to remind everyone that posting banner photos earns you $hells, regardless of whether they are selected for the banners or not. And of course, creating the banners does as well.

Granted, it's up to each individual to decide whether or not they want to claims $hells for their contributions to the league, but a little birdy told me that there's going to be some often-requested and long-awaited SWAG put up for auction in the SNAIL Marketplace in the very near future. ;)

He'll let ya in the vee, but I'm not sure about the beemer... How much fun it would be to go barreling into T1 at 130+mph and stomping on the brakes at marker 4...

Would love to give a Vee a try! Might take a couple laps to muster up the courage to brake that late. When I was really giving the brakes a workout, I was still braking about 25m before 5 at about 100mph. I bet my car weighs about 3 times as much as a Vee though :P Let's put my brakes on a Vee :D

I was talking about the BMW lol the vees go waay down to brake marker 2.5! And yes, drum brakes all around

I was gonna ask, do the Vees hit 130? The E46, I'd be scared coming out of 6........
They can get up to 200kmh at the end of the straight at seattle, maybe 180 here... Best thing to do around mission is to 'forget' about the walls. There were a couple times on saturday where I was nibbling at the gate cone at the exit of two ;) mind you I wasn't driving a brand new subie... Rather an old beater with stones for tires

Haha, ya Vance was the one in the car with me, and I was saying there's more to eek out of the exit at 2, but he advised not to, haha. I was more nervous exiting 6 because I was shifting into 3rd right on top of the apex. If I miss a shift there, I could be in trouble.

That video is great. "Doctors said he would walk in 18 months, he did it in 3." Holy smokes...

I love this one as well.

Something tells me they were meant to be dark...đź’ˇ

good shootin!

Thanks all,Yes @TomMang_68 they were meant to be dark.I was trying to get the colors of our cars to pop.I like the contrast between the shades of grey and the vibrant colors of our "Skittles".Thats what our color choices remind me of,we are not a bland bunch,we are a colorful bunch of individuals and I wanted to try and capture that.
