Sorry dude. I have no desire what so ever to sit in a lobby with you for any amount of time. Especially if it's just for the purpose of proving the obvious to you. There are more cars under 1.0 that will not hit the limiter than there are cars between 1.01 and 1.5 that will not hit the limiter. The rest of the combo picking garbage you just threw in there is just that, garbage. This conversation is over.

When you have the ability to carry on a conversation without interjecting your twisted little version of what I said, you are more than welcome to try and make a logical case for raising the cap. Until then, happy trails to you.
You said that in an afternoon you could get 40 car's to run le sarthe "in an afternoon if you had the time" well most snail don't have the time! They have lives too! Most combo's are picked with a few car's in mind or have already been chosen! As for your statement that they won't hit the limiter that less then half an equation. You're forgetting enjoy ability, the ability for your combo to make it past the cut, And the fun for all division's.

Now coming to le sarthe, most people want more than 2 laps of racing and with the time limit of 12 minutes per race you have to be under 4 minutes, however with the le sarthe exception where the qualy time was cut by a minute to extend racing time but where that cut off for 2 laps versus 3 laps was, was not made clear and was even snapped at when asked for clarification! It does get difficult to find good car's for it!

As for my petition IF you had of left it alone and let come what may this conversation would have never happened!

You're posting on a public forum, so you should expect opinions. You posted yours, so why can't we post ours? Are we not allowed to be opposed to ideas and say why? Also consider the fact that what you're posting is a rule change, so you should expect even more discussion beyond what you'd normally get in this thread.

I have a suggestion and I hope Dragonwhiskey is okay with this. Might need aprroval first! How about make another Snail Private Club for Tuesdays?
Each PSNID can only create/be club owner of 1 club. If DP wants to use up his 1 club creation slot for his new thang, he's welcome to it.

Request to join league
Thanks.

@G25user

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @Dragonwhisky, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

I will be periodically out of the loop from this afternoon through Friday night.

I am heading up to New Jersey Motorsports Park - Thunderbolt course for a Thursday/Friday track session.

This time I am running with the PCA Schattenbaum - a Northern New Jersey club, I think. I have met a handful of the members and the groups don't look godawful huge, so it should be nice. Hot, humid as heck, but nice grids. No, still no regrets for the A/C delete, but it does get... warm, I feel it more on the drive up than on track, really.

Pics and vids to follow.

------------------

Part of me really wants to take my new ride to the track, but I can't bring myself to do it. Next week we have a 3 day at Summit Point, my 'home' course. I think I'll get both cars tech-inspected Saturday so I can bring the new one if it is going to rain... but then there is track insurance, and it's not broken in yet, so... another future date.

Choices, choices, choices... and well under $1,000,000 to boot. :sly:

You know handle, that break in thing isn't really needed on new cars these days. Better tolerances, conditioned metals and better milling/forging processes have made break ins unnecessary in cars made in the past decade. The only real recommendation is to do the first oil change at 1500 miles.

That was stated because bowler said he had enough of the conversation and told me to drop it. Not because I didn't want to have the conversation. I contrary to what may be thought am not trying to change the league I'm trying to see where the majority lies then bring that information to the people in charge of the series.

I am under no illusion that getting the limit raised is an up hill battle. Also that this is a dead topic yet it is one that keeps getting risen so instead of trying to beat it on the thread I thought. "hay let's see what everyone is looking for!" not just the vocal people within the thread! If you actually look at the letter head with in the petition it states that I would need more then half of last Sunday's active driver's to even consider taking it to them.

So basically I was trying to keep the dead horse off the thread yet still allow people to have a voice! (something that has become apparent still brought the dead horse out for it's beating!)

That finish between you, @cmbeal317 and @Handlebar is amazing... I fired up the replays yesterday to watch it happen and was not disappointed.
Beal is a terror, any mistake and he pounces. He snapped a P2 out of my grasp because I didn't pay attention for 1 second. I blinked and that's all she wrote...

@FlipJ ,HAHAHAH,Yeah I thought I was battling @Handlebar for 3rd,The last I seen of @cmbeal317 ,was the turn before the chicane,he pulled in behind @Handlebar and I didn't know what happened, very perplexed until I watched the replays.Very awesome racing with those guys.

I saw what you were asking for. I'll end my argument on it and let the drivers decide where they stand on it.

Even at two new cars per week (if prize B winner freezes track) we're still looking at around 8 years & 34 weeks of new cars...

(But the clones...blah blah blah)

Raising the price cap would not only be pointless, but for how many of those weeks will it actually make a difference? Surely not every prize winner is going to be concerned with getting the most expensive car (available) as a choice.

Maybe people should start getting creative.

I agree that the cap should stay on for Snail Spec Racing. Their are so many choices to choose each week and each week their is a different challenge. One driver can be really good with one combo and bad with another, that is what makes this series so great. Their are so many choices to make each week under the $1 million cap.

its got to be said. Just because people are rolling in by the troves to have a swing at the horse, does not mean its not dead. At even 1.5 mill, if my save blew up, i would really not be racing. since we want to make a point of pointing out the amount of time people do or do not have to do things. I think.most people over 20 and definitly those with a family cant really justify grinding during the evening to race on sunday. even the weekend is tough. There is always a million honey dos and work to be done.
Another point Id like to make. Bowler is not the great and mighty Oz, or whatever form of deity you prefer. He didn't stop a single person from clicking that link and placing a vote. If anything, he helped make sure more people knew.about it. If it is not getting hits, its not on him.
It's also got to be said. Play with the toys you've got. There are how many cars not including their clones still not used? And clearly options, and Im of the same mind as bowler, there are plenty of cars that can run the le sarthe straight without bouncing the rev limiter enough left right and center that haven't.been.chosen that one doesn't have to even be creative to pick a car. Just close your eyes and pick at random.
But I digress. I'm not even active.

What's the next horse on the cycle? I think tires were last. Cap now. I think something about practice, scoring or penelties is up nextso keep those kicking boots handy.
