The seven at Brands Hatch has to be the most frustrating combo I've had to deal with in a very long time. I can't seem to stay on the line I want in the attempt to use all the track and not lose momentum. The results are catastrophic.
I've done more laps in this combo than any other in the past and still can't complete 7 laps without crashing. I know, you are saying slow down, but I can't go any slower.

OK, ya got me. Time to see what this thing is all about...

While I can't say this isn't true, change your line and maybe stop trying to use up more track than this thing can stand?

Awesome, my PS3 just shut down by itself in the middle of a race.

It seems I had YLOD, but after a few attempts to restart the system I finally got it to go through it's file check operation and auto-restart without shutting down again. I shut it down properly and that's how it sits at the moment.

Is it possible all the issues you've had with GT6 had more to do with your PS3 being on the brink? Have you ever cleaned it out or noticed that it was running hot?

I'm sure that could be possible. I just turned it back on, but it wouldn't stay on long enough for me to even begin a backup. I had my system setup for an online backup (PSN?). Does that mean if I get a new PS3 and log into my acct., I will be able to retrieve my data?

If you have Playstation Plus, you will get back all saved data. Well worth the money.

It backs up automatically when you turn the PS3 on.

yeah, I get that screen every time I turn the system on now, since I got Plus for my PS4. Funny thing is (the PS3 is on now), it doesn't recognize that I'm a Plus member. Weird. I think I have an opportunity here to back this thing up to a thumbdrive.

Something else I wanted to post up and got lost in other things.

Several days ago it was brought up about practicing right up to as close to the green light on Sunday night. I am not trying to bring that horse back to life. Instead, I would like to proffer an option to trying to run laps right up until you join your Division's lobby on Sunday evening. It may not solve every issue you may experience while racing online in SNAIL but, it sure won't hurt.

Start the below race preparation routine, in order, as close to 9:00P Eastern / 6:00 Pacific as you can:
  1. In GT6, clear the network cache.
  2. Exit game and shut down your PS3.
  3. Shut down all other devices connected to your network, wired and wireless.
  4. Shut down your modem and router.
  5. Wait a couple minutes.
  6. Power up your modem. Wait for it to sync with your provider's equipment, usually less than 2 minutes.
  7. Power up your router, if it's not part of your modem. Wait for it to boot up completely, should be less than 2 minutes.
  8. Power up your PS3 and required A/V gear.
  9. Boot up GT6
  10. If other devices are required to be online during your race night (not recommended) boot those up.
  11. Join your division's lobby and get focused and ready for the racing.

Outside of hosts, who probably ought to be doing this before 9P/6p, this ought to be everyone's pre-race prep and ready routine. It takes about 15 minutes total, so, if you start at the top of the hour, you should be in your lobby by quarter after and settling any issues and ready for the 1st qualifying session by half past the hour.

Just out of curiosity what do you guys have your steering sensitivity set at then?

Steering sensitivity affects controllers only. It sets how fast the wheels turn initially. Good way to see what it does is to look at the front wheels of an open wheel car while turning them.

@Rallywagon I would like to be a commentator if possible, doesn't matter what division, if that's okay with you.. If it's skype, my user ID is gtr3123
Sorry man, but my software is currently not capable of that. I can get away with just the Hauppauge stuff for streaming on my work laptop. But I cant install all of the other stuff I would need to do that. I can't use my PVR on my desktop either. For some reason my computer and the PVR don't communicate well, and I haven't the foggiest on a remedy.
