Judging by the voting that happened in D4, and if the rest of the divisions followed suit, then you @Oshawa-Joe, will be asked to do it again! I for one am happy about it. I found that one to be the best combo of the night. The 7 was well poised so long as you kept it mostly off the grass and within tire grip. I was just getting into the groove of it by the end of the night.
Needless to say, I will be practicing a lot more for next Sunday. I did horrid this week because I kept putting it off to get other things done. Not this week. I am coming for a podium finish dagnabbit!

Just for fun today, take out your Caterham Seven Fireblade and take it to any track. You will be surprised at how well it drives.

I guess I'll have to practice combo 3 some more then. I could do low 1:28s in practice but that's where I start making mistakes and missing my turn in. 1:29s was much safer.

They probably got that by knowing where you can go flat out and knowing the car will just grip. I know you can on the exit of Druids (Turn 2). And some turns you can learn you don't need the brakes at all and that's really helpful to trust throwing the car into a turn won't spin it.

Try the Caterham on SS or SM. very, very rewarding, and requires patience with your inputs. I forgot to turn ABS off for it last night. I recall that was helpful last time we ran it.

I know of one group that runs it on CS for 20 minute races!

MikeGrove and a few other guys were running 1:27s so that's where I will need to get to.:banghead:

I'll get there.
ouhwayy @Oshawa-Joe , like your reflecting, watched brnt's record and be sure this racing night was such a SNAIL race, a SNAIL train over long distances, a pleasure to watch what you guys are able to do, without too much Testosterone, respect to the other driver and and and, be proud even not archieving the top time, a not so fast D7ler, respectfully I;)

It's the "CallMeMike41" Show! Plus Druids turn smokescreen in C3R1...

(My first time uploading images...thanks to the guys who helped figure out how. Did them to a gallery...but I see I could have just attached to this post...not sure the preferred method.)

Looks like combo 1 received 32 votes, combo 2 received 13, and combo 3 received 20.

Have to say I'm very surprised combo 1 received as many votes as it did. Combo 3 was dangerous at the limit, and at most turns. Combo one had one difficult, no... Dangerous turn, the last corner.

Yes, but combo 3 is a lot more rewarding... I just want to have another go.

The only problem with this combo is the current tire regulation.

But not announced in the thread - some my consider that an 'official' count, I'll bet.

;)

Was wondering what everyone thought of the commentary last nite? Personally I thought gtr 3123 did nicely and was a plus to the broadcast. If anyone else would like to try their hand at guest commenting, you will need a pc, webcam and skype.
I like the commentating a lot ! It adds another level. Sounds like you guys had fun doing it. Do D 4 next week LOL

I thought it was great, I watched it on my iPad while I was waiting for our room to be ready! 👍👍👍

So, I am sure it happened while I was on my leave, but what happened to race cars on race tires and street cars on street tires? That sure did make a lot of sense.

Other issues came up - see page 1, but tires are softer for some higher PP, and harder and slippery for some low PP.

Overall, more good for more cars being competitive, IMHO. Yeah, a few may be out the grid, but more cars for more drivers.

Having the lower powered race cars on sports tires (S2K race car, I believe the Lotus Elise too) made for some good racing, and it brings more skill into the mix. Driving those cars on racing tires made it too easy.
