@Lessen Im lurking in the background
Traitor!@MSgtGunny I use you tube.
It only happens in rooms with Americans...it must be their fault. No one understands why this happens in each room on certain nights where drivers cannot see each other even though all of our internet connections are very fast.
Can confirm, am american. It only happens in rooms with Americans...it must be their fault.
Fair enough, I remember you picking and loving that car. SPA is a beauty, and she'll get the nod soon enough. This is a one time chance for you to race a car you love again. And I also love the sound of an Alpha rappin' out to 8 grand.Prize B for Meee? Yeppie!!!
I'm gonna make it simple and freeze the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione '08 car. I picked it once along time ago, too. We raced it at Cape Ring then. Luv it and want to hear more of that bad a$$ sound. Pick a fun track now and do us good. : )
I wax thinking the Alfa works well at Monza but Im glad to see the F40 get some justice. Huzzah. Practice up after dinner. All combos decided by Tuesday night!Wahaaay!! It has taken some time and I am delighted to have achieved my first Prize A win and being an Irishman of course there has to be a wee bit of story telling about my combo choice.
During the noughties when the Celtic Tiger economy was roaring loud I managed to go to three F1 Grands Prix, the 2001 Hungarian, 2002 Belgian and the 2006 Italian. As it happened, all three of these Grand Prix had one major thing in common......Michael Schumacher was the winner each time. The 2001 Hungrian GP was significant because his win secured the World Championship for that year and the 2006 Italian GP was an emotional affair because it was his final appearance for Ferrari at Monza and the Tifosi went particularly crazy when he won it!
The 2002 Belgian GP didn't have any particular significance but Spa Francorchamps is an incredible track to visit and it is possible to get very close to the track at certain points and I was able to take this close up shot of the man himself at Bruxelles corner. (Pardon the quality, it's a photo of a print)
Anyway, as we all know, life took a turn for the worse for Michael and we are only a couple of weeks away from the second anniversary of the skiing accident that almost killed him and has left him on a long and slow road to recovery and I would like my combo choice to reflect a small tribute to the man.
His won his first GP in 1992 and there is a certain 1992 Ferrari represented in the game, and it hasn't been chosen previously, so my combo choice is as follows:
Car: Ferrari F40 '92
Track: Autodromo Nazionale Monza '80s
Dealership PP: 528
Tyres: SS
PP after oil change: 536
Power after oil change: 495
Weight: 1352kg
I would expect a mid division laptime around the 1:52 mark give or take. It is a tricky car that doesn't take too kindly to be thrown about with abandon but it is a rewarding experience when you get it right. The brakes are not as strong as you would like considering the car's performance so brake early and in a straight line as much as possible and, thankfully, Monza is a track that suits this approach anyway.
So best of luck with it everyone and........
Two cars i absolutely love, the Ferrari because I'm Italian and like why not and the Audi because I love Audi's and drive one. A 2001 Audi A4 B5 body style
Simple...They released a game for a console that was close to end of life.So I was just looking at GTP and saw that GT6 has made 4.9mil. compared to GT5 which made 11.94. Thoughts?

It actually surprised me that GT6 sales were so low most people I know (my friends list) pre ordered GT6 and the buzz pre release being high. I thought most people bought it during pre order. GT4 came out in 2005 a year before the PS3 and sold 11.74.Simple...They released a game for a console that was close to end of life.
I didn't find GT6 any harder then GT5 career mode.Remember when GT6 first dropped, how much chatter there was about how much harder it was than GT5? Now, recall how much buzz there was about Project Cars a year ago vs. similar chatter now about how much harder it is?
Ya may not agree, but I honestly feel the more realistic these "sims" become, the less popular they are with the BIG audience.
I'm not sure I looked last night for the units sold between the 2 titles and couldn't find it for GT6. http://vgsales.wikia.com/wiki/Gran_Turismo. GT5 sold 10 million units.I wonder if that GT5 figure counts DLC as well. Since in GT6, everything has been free, I'm sure they lost out on at least some revenue.
