If you want to see poetry in motion with the Zonda on Midfield, do yourself a favour and download the Div 1 January 24, 2016 C3R1 (Race 1 with the Zonda on Midfield). Put yourself in @msgt-sd or @Ricky Wilson (Acidtestkids) car and watch.

- Lap after lap after lap the break points are the same, entry points into the corner, driving line through the corners. Every lap is a copy of the other lap. They run away from the rest of the field as if we are amateurs. Then... lap 10 of 11 one tiny mistake and the other driver took the opportunity and make the pass on the s curve into the main straight - two wide through the curve and no touching.

All I can say is Waau !! and Respect !!

Thanks a lot @Rednose58! It was an intense race. I don't think we were separated by more than a second at any point in the race. It took everything I had to stay in @Ricky Wilson's draft.

Race 1 at Laguna Seca and Autumn Ring were similarly close. Ricky's so fast it felt like I was forced to drive the defensive line every other turn. Great fun.

What a fun race to watch (both of them, C3 R1 & R2) smoking fast pace and really great control. AND NO TOUCHING/BUMPING. Awesome!

im new to gtplanet and would like to join the Snail spec racing series

@Keith 2112

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

How the heck does he do that!?
Haven't you figured out yet, what that n in nmcp1 stands for?

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Ford Mustang V8 GT Coupe Premium '07 (Sports: Hard) at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Whitey093 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @Whitey093 has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 3 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D3 drivers from Sunday night start thinking about combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post it if/when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @Whitey093 is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Amuse/Opera Performance GRAN TURISMO 350Z RS (Sports: Medium) at Autumn Ring / Reverse (8 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Ricky Wilson gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @DesertPenguin09 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Car Selection Guidelines
Dealership Cars - The maximum price for a selected car is now $1,000,000
DLC Cars - Only DLC cars that are FREE and currently still available in the PlayStation Store can be selected.

Track Selection Guidelines
Any non-DLC track can be selected as long as a single lap with the car combo'd with it would not take more than five minutes to complete. For example, don't select anything that includes the Nurburgring's Nordschleife.

Just an FYI post about filing incident reports. It does no good to self file an IR after someone else has already filed it against you. If you have something to add, you should use the "reply all" feature in the email you received about he IR. That will insure that your division steward gets your comments and can add them to the incident discussion.

View media item 2540This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!
The IR Submission Form is now closed.
We have 10 incidents on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on Friday, Jan. 29th, 2016.

@Whitey093 @Ricky Wilson @DesertPenguin09

If you raced in D3 this Sunday you are asked to make one and only one prize A suggestion. That suggestion must be made in the main thread by the individual making the suggestion. If you make more than one suggestion, you will not be allowed a suggestion. If you edit your post to change your selection, your selection will be disallowed. If your suggestion leaves any room for doubt as to the car or the track, it will be thrown out so be clear. Use the full track name and full car name to be safe. Example: If you say Deep Forest, that will be thrown out. If you say Laguna Seca, that would be allowed The window for suggestions will close at 11PM ET on Tuesday night. At that point, Whitey093 will get to choose from the valid suggestions.

I suggested that last time :)
My god, that guy is crazy, he has no helmet and he is Tokyo drifting corners expecting nothing to happen like oversteer as he comes out... He way too tense and he could have brought his lap time down probably a full minute if he wasn't so zealous with the car, when he steers he was slamming the steering wheel down and counter-steering it 360 just to save the damn thing...

Totally agree. Makes for a great video, but very sloppy if fast was the goal.

Hey guys long time no see. I'm wanting to get back into some tight knit racing and haven't raced on Sunday's in over a year. So I'm not sure if I need a new welcome post or just a TT.

Also, TO ALL THOSE WHO RACED IN RCS ON WEDNESDAYS OR MISSED THE OPPORTUNITY, I'm looking at having a reunion night just to get the old group together and re-run a season 1 race or something. Any further inquiries can be made via pm to me.

I'm excited about getting behind the wheel again it's been a few months and the D24 brought me back. LETS DO THIS!!!
