@o8_jedi You have until 3PM ET today to make a pick or at least respond to this post stating that you will have a pick made before practice tonight. If you haven't posted anything by 3PM ET a very quick voting procedure will begin.

If you raced on D6 on Sunday, you may make one and only one suggestion for a car to race at Apricot Hill. The suggestion period will close at 6PM ET, at which point, everyone who raced in other divisions will vote on the suggested cars. If at any time during this process @o8_jedi makes a pick, it will be accepted.

Please use the proper full, in game name of car in your post.

I just came across this Road & Track article (from Dec. 18, 2015) and since it's a slow day here so far, I wanted to share it. The topic of the article frustrates me, but not to the point of anger - have to keep a cool head on the road.

The Problems With the American Driver
This is not good for my hypertension. Two Fridays ago, as I returned from the Joe Lewis arena, I suffered this very tragedy. It's about a 90 mile drive on I-75, and it gets worse every year. It's my experience that young drivers are most guilty of the left lane sin. However, when I hit the left turn indicator (early to light up their interior and get a good look at the dingle that's frustrating me of course) there's often 2-3 oblivious passengers looking like raccoons that just got busted sifting through your garbage cans. Nobody in that vehicle understands that cruising at 68 mph in the left lane is not kosher? Doesn't the continuous sight of vehicles approaching at blistering speed make them nervous? Or what about the constant near misses as someone darts to the right and then back to the left, just missing the front and rear corners of their car? Doesn't that clue them in that they're in the danger zone?

I agree with the article that education is the key. But I'm willing to guess our educators are some of the same offenders. So how is the U.S. going to combat this? Legislation to start increasing autonomous features in vehicles? Sure that will solve it. Let's take common sense right out of the equation.

Well, at least I got to take some time on my birthday to vent about a topic that my wife's tired of hearing about. Where's my blood pressure medication?
