That post by DW never ceases to amaze me.
What amazed me was how many stewards answered the call and the manhours spent to get it done.

Reviewing just 1 OOB violation costs more time than it takes to review 3 contact incidents spread across 3 divisions. I know as soon as I saw an OOB IR pop, my grump level went up considerably. That level was only mitigated by costing the boundary violator as much as could legally be charged.

Imagine if you will, every driver's race being reviewed, full length, at least once, by at least one steward, to identify every instance of OOB, then at least 2 more stewards using those time stamps to confirm or refute the violation. We did it for every driver for both races. Looking back, I'm thinking we were utterly out of our minds bonkers.

umm what about JFlagg_PGH's suggestion for Deep Forest Raceway?

I for one like the track and there were a few that chose to race it within the boundaries without troubles last time it was raced. There were however quite a few who decided the didn't care to race the track properly. There is plenty of room in those turns to get through cleanly IF a racer wants to follow the rules.

It was probably not allowed do to not being clear about forward or reverse

@CoachMK21, can we get clarification on this one before we all vote?

I remember that one well. I freaked out on Handlebar for handing me three OOB IRs, I didn't realize at the time that everyone got spanked, not just me. It cleaned up a lot of stuff though.

Not to sound repetitive, for I've said this before, but that's why SNAIL is so amazing and why I appreciate the job the Stewards do so much. From the experience of reviewing my own replays, I can only imagine what it is to do it week in and week out.
That Ascari one must have been insane...
Thank you to all Stewards for making the league great.

Hello, I would like to participate in the Sunday night racing. Thanks. And by the way, I was told that it doesn't need to be fancy. That's fine by me, cause my PS3 is in my basement.

@JCH8r

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Random question: what kind of black looks best? Gloss, Metallic, or Matte?

I have Tuxedo Black, Nightshade, and Nero Nemesis. All classy dark blacks. But which looks nicest on track under real sunlight, not the simulated preview in the paint room?

I know, but there's a Metallica song for this called Sad But True. It's too bad Ascari will probably never be used because it really is a blast to drive in a group.

Your funny DP....wouldn't what color looks best be determined by what looks good to you?
Buy each color take it on track and see which one you like best.
Sometimes you gotta do your own work to get answers to your questions

Yea, but I'm curious what the general consensus is on using the color black. It's a tough color to make work on every car.
There is also a Metallica album called "The Black Album" although, unfortunately, they did not detail which black :)
Sad But True is on that album! Hahaha
