I went there last Thursday for some pace laps and it is so freaking smooth. There were a number of IMSA teams practicing and Jordan Taylor reported that he was 2 seconds faster than his fastest ever on worn tires. He said he had to relearn every braking point.
Still jealous you got to see him in action... Debating whether or not to make the trip to mosport next year to see him

Do it. IMSA is one of my favorite series and they put on a great show. Very welcoming in the pits and you get to rub elbows with some great drivers.
I love IMSA races. I've been going to the Daytona 24 for the past few years and got to meet Rubens Barrichello (ex Ferrari F1 driver) this past year. He was driving the same car you posted the pic of.

Hey everyone, just wanted to advertise my latest auction in the SNAIL Marketplace! :D

I recently won an auction for the first time, which was for something pretty dang fool from @Alex ONeill! Therefore, I wanted to pay if forward by auctioning off something else that I feel is pretty dang cool! :dopey:

Have to attest, this is a very nice high quality tshirt. It's in my regular rotation :)

Anyways, post me some lap times. I think you will be below 1:30 so, I guess 8 laps.

The Amuse might be 11 laps if you can get into the 1:04's otherwise 10 laps

I test with sport hard tires. My best lap was 1:38.724
Regular lap 1:39:600
Muy bad lap 1:40.200

SRT4 '03

Amuse S2000 '04

So does this mean we will be graced with the presence of the almighty @JLBowler on the 5th? (only a little bit of scarcasm)

My absence has been based more on apathy than the combos. These are intriguing and I may get back into racing with what amounts to a two week break with the light steward load this week and not having to worry about driver placement until I have time instead of having to make time to do it.

As for the "almighty" crap. When I had time to practice there were combos that very few could beat me on but for the last two years with little to no practice, I'm doing good to win an occasional race and sniff, not actually win but just be close enough to get a sniff, a nightly win here and there.

Shesh man I was just being an ass. You can beat me on your worst night! (henceforth the "almighty" quip)
I was referring to the no race cars on the 5th. Something that I know you were looking for.

If we can get good enough cell service at Watkins Glen this weekend, we are going to try to Livestream in car video again. Just click on the links below to watch on your computer or phone. You may have to download the Livestream on your mobile device to watch, but it is free. I don't know my time slots yet, but I'll post when I do.

Friday, 4 hours of open testing, 1 pm - 4 pm:

Saturday, 7 hour race, 9 am - 4 pm:
