1...Fords first factory assembled "pickup" was built on April 15th 1925. Basically a model T runabout with a pickup body and sold for $281.
When introduced in 1948 the F-1 was produced at all 16 of Fords assembly plants at the time. Today only two plants build the truck (Kansas City and Dearborn )
The longest running component that was used on every single truck from 1959 till 1979 was the front bumper.
2... The Red Cross and Snake that adorn the Alfa badge are from the city of Milan and the Visconti family.
In the 1933 Mille Miglia, the first 10 cars to take the checkered flag were Alfa Romeo's.
President John F Kennedy owned an Alfa Giulietta Spider.
3... Carroll Shelby - Tough Guy and Hopeless Romantic. During WW II he spent time in San Antonio as a flight insructor. On longer missions he would drop love letters stuffed inside leather boots out of his plane when flying over his fiancé 's farm
In 1965 he built the ultimate Cobra for his own personal use. Called the "Supersnake" it came with two superchargers and pumped out an incredible 800 hp.
Not sure why you would, but at one point you could order a Cobra with an automatic transmission and 16 people apparently did just that! I'm sure quite rare and expensive as some Cobras can sell for over a million dollars nowadays!
