January 2017 Season Data Report

The following data entries are missing:

Jan 22, 2017 : D4 (I know you had some issues. I'll see if I can download the replays and help)

Jan 1, 2017 : D2 Round1 incomplete (Gap entries missing. Let me know if you need help)

I would like to archive the data tomorrow so that we can set up the ROC for next week.

Thanks to all the data specialists. Good job for January season.

Will have a practice lobby open at 6PM PST if there isnt one already up. We lost quite a few people for C2 (X-Bow) and heard a lot of moans during it. Its probably the most challenging combo I've ever been a part of with my short time in SNAIL. With that said, its also one of the most enjoyable. I've spent a lot of time practicing it, and you CAN tame that thing. Treat it with respect, you cant make sudden movements with it or youll be losing control left and right. If I ace every inch of the track I think 1:10's might be possible. Really hoping some fast guys in D1 like @msgt-sd and @Nicktune spend some time practicing it in hopes they break into the 10s. Afterall, Nic did freeze the track. A track he does quite well at.

Or dont practice it all, because I have a feeling itll get voted off by a landslide :)
I'm doing ok on this track ;)

I'm a bit off the line in that replay (2nd half of the track). 1:19.080 lap

The 1st sector is really important on this track. It's easy to lose a lot of time on that simple section, because it's going uphill for a long period. With the Amuse last week I had a 23.056 S1 in quali (1:19.033 lap).

There's 2 different ways to take Turn 1. You avoid the inside rumble,or you put about 1/3 of the car over it.It all depends on the car's suspension (With the Amuse it didn't make much of a difference in time).

Sometimes you just need to find the right gear to make the car rotate.
Example:
Last tunnel exit (Amuse)
3rd gear // (-)Understeer a bit (+) Save time because no upshift
2nd gear // (-)Need to upshift (+) Better rotation on entry
Mix of both // (I used this last week ) 2nd gear entry for the better rotation and going into 3rd while still decelerating, so you don't lose time upshifting under acceleration.

I have yet to try the KTM.

I tried for 2 hours to figure out a way to link my phone to my tv to watch the actual broadcast from foxsportsgo with no luck. I think I just need to get a chromecast.

It's a good purchase. I've been using it for a while and couldn't be happier.
I've been watching on an amazon fire stick. $40 with a program that streams live tv free. It messes up from time to time but it's free. Haha
And you can screen mirror with androids to that as well. Though that doesn't help me as a hardcore apple guy.

I use Charter Spectrum and Fox Sports Go on my tablet. So nice to keep up with the race when the wife or son wants to watch TV. My wife hates the tablet next to the bed overnight. I get the race coverage along with Ford, Corvette, and BMW in car views.

We have a six month old Vizio that we can cast to. I just ditched my iPhone 5 for a Moto z force. I really love it. Everything is google friendly out of the box and I didn't even have to download an app to cast. It's built in. Easy as you please.

I was able to cast the in car cams only because the casting app for my Samsung tv could pick up the feed through the IMSA.TV website, but since the commentator broadcast was only available on foxsportsgo it wouldn't work as it does not open "within" the casting app.

I picked up a chromecast this morning so once I get it set up I'll be good for the rest of the season and beyond.

Dont forget that your HDTV can also act as a monitor for your computer. I dont even have cable, and I just hookup my laptop to my TV via HDMI if theres something I want to watch. I also just bought a $10 TV antenna made for HDTVs and pick up 20 or so channels, all free. The amount of channels you get depends on how far from the local TV tower you live, and anything inbetween that may impede the signal. Probably the best $10 I've ever spent.

Use spoiler tags please. I just got home from work and I'm watching the last hour on DVR
I hardly spoiled anything. There's absolutely no way of knowing who I'm talking about, what class I'm talking about, what position I'm talking about, or even when the event happened during the race. Maybe I'm talking about something that happened at hour 20? Maybe during the night?

Edit: There's no way of knowing, unless it was already spoiled or you watched it live. My post was pretty conservative I thought

You were responding to someone talking about the finish. I'd say that's pretty spoilerific.

Edit: Even if nothing happened, that's something and I'd like to find out exactly how it happens for myself. I'm sure you understand. :)

He apologised for saying that and offending Sir Jackie (to whom it was said), coming clean that he only said that because it was the only way to justify the unjustifiable (crashing into Prost at Suzuka) and that he himself didn't believe what he said, as there are obviously other things you need to worry about.
So let's be enlightened raging fans and not use that quote anymore.

Sorry, but it's been my racing pet peeve since 1990.

Ok, believe me. I understand not wanting to know things before you watch it; but seriously, if you absolutely have to be THAT anal about it you probably shouldn't visit a message board full of race fans. EVERYBODY has thus far been extremely accommodating. Just my opinion.
