Scores for March 26 have been pushed to Data and is ready for the data specialists.

I just couldn't figure out that second combo. I'd brake early and feel like I was coasting into the corners...so I'd brake later and over drive them....and boy is the run-off area slick. I like the track, but the 20 or so laps I made on Thursday and tonight's races were the only laps I've ever done on the track. It was hard to find markers to use for braking. The access road on the left for turn 1 worked ok, the next braking point was well after the two white lines so that threw me off, then the next one was right at the second white line...or was it? I never got that turn in right.

I found being in a slip stream effected braking points significantly, especially in corner 3 with its downhill braking, which also got effected depending on how well you took corner 2.

That was also my first time at the track but I put down enough laps in practice to get comfortable with it.

Heres what worked for me going off memory:

For T1 brake just before the access road on the left.

T2 I would brake hard and slam to 2nd gear right after passing the 100M sign on the left. The second it was off my screen I hit the brakes. Did not go into 1st gear.

T3 Brake in between the two white lines and try to get as close to the inside rumble strip as you make the turn and slowly drift to the outside in 3rd gear.

T4 Brake just before the 50m sign. Its easy to turn in too soon and run out of track on the outside. A good apex here is crucial to get on the gas early. Slow in fast out mentality.

T5 I would set up wide and turn in at the end of the rumble strip, and dab the brakes AFTER my turn in had begun. You start to get a feel for when you can punch the gas through the turn. Do it too early and you run out of road on the outside.

T6 Brake in between 100 and 50m signs.

T7 Brake just after end of green strip on left hard. Turn in early to avoid running outside on that slippery tarmac which will destroy your lap as well as the following one.

1:39.777 pb in the TT

@MSgtGunny, not your fault on that first combo. I started drifting trying to ease up. I was about to catch it when you spun me around. Nothing you could have done though. Second race you got freight trained. Odd part about Grand Valley track I've been noticing over the last few weeks which you pointed out in your vide. The outside line around turn 2 (the first right hander) is almost always quicker. The driver on the outside is scrubbing less speed off using their front tires and gets a better exit speed. I took a really wide line around you and pulled away, then you failed to make some passes later in that race by being stuck on the inside.

Yeah, there wasn't really anywhere to go as you're already at front tire grip limit with turning and can't turn in more. Just bad timing. And yeah, I sorta got screwed a few times that night.

It is definitely dependent on the car, something with more downforce would let the inside line get on the power earlier.

Our Chargers moved north to LA, the Rams back to LA and now the misfits of the NFL are now in Las Vegas. Gotta love it. Cant wait to hear about players being arrested Saturday night before the game at a strip club. War Raiders

As a Raiders fan, this disappoints me.

As a fellow Raider fan, this only slightly disappoints me. If sucks that the city of Oakland and Alameda county couldn't get something done in the years it has had to do so. The stadium is sorely outdated and is falling apart (see sewer backing up into the locker rooms). It's also the last shared venue with a baseball team in the NFL. Playing on the dirt infield is something that should have gone away years ago. The stadium issue should have been addressed a long time ago as the Raiders and A's have both been in need of a new building.

Yea, I agree on all points. It will be very strange to get used to.

I know my point is likely moot because Pittsburg isn't exactly located near any major bodies of water...but a team located in the desert named after sea going pirates?

Its as ironic as Vegas' first pro NHL team named The Golden Knights, when Nevada is known as the Silver State.

Nope. Still in Cleveland...

If you mean in terms of on the field success I agree, Browns are bad. And who allowed them their only win last season. Yep the Chargers.

I was referencing the fact that the Raiders have always been looked at as the bad boys of football. The Matuzaks, Alzados, Romanowskis etc. and Richard Seymour for that hair pulling incident just a few weeks after becoming a Raider from the Patriots.

I only really follow one team. The Patriots. I am not a band wagon follower though. I grew up in Foxboro, long before they added the "ugh" to the end of it. I can remember watching the Bears crush them in the Super Bowl when I was 5 years old. I played soccer with the son of the quarter back. The players were a fixture in the town for the most part and I believe still are. You might run into one picking up pizza at the local spot on a Friday night. The montage used to describe the town during this year's AFC game made all the townies chuckle. They described it as a farming community. It's definitely not a city or urban environment you'd find most football stadiums in, but it's not Kansas either. Anyway, I don't follow the stats or other teams all that much. I just sit down on Sundays with family and watch as long as the game stays interesting. I was a bigger fan years ago...but these days the injuries, the haters, and the politics have turned me away.

@Adramike @GTLehman I was looking in the D2 folder and since it was the last replay that was missing, i sent the last replay to the D2 folder.

Edit: Does it have to be a replay for D2 since it's a D2 replay missing. @pubason is in D3. I was not thinking before i sent the replay to the D2 folder. Do i delete it?

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Opera Performance S2000 '04 (Sports: Medium) at Grand Valley East / Forward (10 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @racingchamp30 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @racingchamp30 has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 3 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D3 drivers from Sunday night start thinking about combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post it if/when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @racingchamp30 is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Lexus IS F CCS-R '11 (Sports: Soft) at Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @SAMHAIN85 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @socalnatv so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

View media item 2540This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!
The IR Submission Form is now closed.
We have ?? incidents on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on Friday, February 20th, 2015.
Banner by @GamingPete

All three prize winners will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes that will contain instructions and deadlines.

If you raced in D3 this week, you get to make one, and only one, suggestion for prize A. This is a car and track combo. @racingchamp30 will be choosing one of these for prize A. You are allowed one suggestion. Multiple suggestions, changing your suggestion, or making a suggestion which leaves a question as to what you are suggesting will result in your suggestion being disallowed.

The suggestion period will close at 11:59 PM ET on Tuesday night.

This is not a voting process. If you agree with someones suggestion, you don't need to post it again. All suggestions must be made in this thread or they will not be allowed. This is your chance to interject your opinion about a combo choice so take advantage of the situation.

To my division mates and the rest of SNAIL: this will be my choice for Prize B. src and I did a "prize bet" for the Super Bowl. I took the Falcons. And we all know what happened @JLBowler

If I didnt say anything I feel like it would be a waste of your time testing tracks. And now you have an extra night to practice the combo, instead of not knowing until tomorrow.

Im sure we have to wait till 12PM EST to make it "official", but this is my pick.

Lexus IS F CCS-R '11 on SS tires @ Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit

No lap time estimates yet

Edit: hopefully you all understand I'm doing this for the sake of SNAIL as a whole and trying to speed up the selection process. If 8 D1 guys all spend time testing tonight, it will be all for nothing. My pick will still have to be panorama for our friendly sports bet we made. And you wouldn't have known about it until tomorrow night instead of right now, which gives you an extra night of practice.

Hey Sam, since you've once again passed the "freeze" prize which will initiate suggestions from your divison mates, I hope you didn't make any "prize bets" on who'd be advancing to the Final Four ;). While I appreciate you doing the honorable thing last week and saving your fellow D1 drivers' time testing tracks, it wouldn't have been necessary if you hadn't done the arguably "uncool" thing of taking away their opportunity to contribute to the prize selection process.

I realize there was no harm done and no harm intended, but please remember that one of the core foundations of Sunday Night American Interactive League is to allow our members to help decide what cars and tracks we race. IMHO, the more our members are able to interact with this process, the better. So let's not do any more "prize bets" mmkay? :P

I understand completely. It was a one time thing src and I did. "OK src, if Patriots win the SB you get to pick my prize" and vice versa. It just got a little wacky since it went to nominations.

With that in mind, I will be doing something similiar to what racingchamp did for his selection last week. SNAIL as a whole will be able to decide what we do with Prize B. Will post more info once I get the green light after the freeze/nominations takes place.
