The votes are in. We had a total of 13 votes with 3 of the 4 combos all tied at 4 votes a piece!
Since the tie-breaker goes to first cast vote, everyone can thank @socalnatv for his vote at 10:04AM

The car I'm selecting for Panorama is:

AlwinScud_17Feb2013_14.jpg

@turnupdaheat 's Ferrari 430 Scuderia '07

Votes: @socalnatv @TomMang_68 @Engmatic1 and @Raw10_2u

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Kgffy 's Mazda rx-7 Type R Bathurst R (fd)'01

Votes: @Wolfsatz @DVD @CoachMK21 @cliff eden

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Rednose58 's Mine's BNR34 SKYLINE GT-R N1 base '06

Votes: @racingchamp30 @JamCar0ne @thorracing @SAMHAIN85

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

@MSgtGunny 's Nissan XANAVI NISMO Z '06

Votes: @pubason

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

@Nicktune 's Nissan CALSONIC SKYLINE GT-R Race Car '93

Votes: @none :( This was going to be my pick but it topped out on the back stretch even without a draft. One other person said they would've voted for it had it not topped out.

@racingchamp30 's vote for the GT-R N1 was cast 1 hour after @socalnatv 's.

I don't have the specs in front of me for the Ferrari right now. I'll try to get them posted later with a mid div lap time. If someone else already has this info please post. :cheers: @JLBowler

I know there's only a few here but any other Canadians sign up for the GTSport beta? I did and received an activation code last night. After entering the code, I get the error, invalid or expired code. Seems many have this problem , either Sony sent a crap load of emails to gamers who don't qualify(kind of unlikely?) or its opening for Canadians soon. Or maybe something else:crazy:?

Saw this on Nic Hammonns facebook page for anyone in the area.

"Heading home to attend the @NewMotorama in Green Bay, Wisconsin! Excited for a weekend packed talking with fans and showing off the #74 NASCAR XFINITY car! Please come to the show and stop by the Trudell Performance LLC booth to say hi! I hope to see you all there! Also there will be simulator competition for a free track day at @roadamerica with the NWShelbyClub with me as your driving instructor! What a great opportunity to get involved in a lapping event! #nwshelbyclub #roadamerica #nascar#newmotorama"

About to do my first online race in GTS.

Will join practice lobby right after this

Edit: just realized my ps4 was using Wi-Fi while my ps3 was hardwired. Thats probably why its so pixelated. And I was happy to see @TomMang_68 pop up in my matchmake lobby.

This was my first time ever streaming, and I can see it being an integral part of SNAIL in the future. Not just streaming your own race, but the fact that someone could potentially spectate and host the races live on Sunday nights. Similiar to what @Lessen does for PITS. Not only would it be a great recuitment tool, it would be nice to see how other divisions races went that night. Its too much work having to download replays, upload to PS, etc. Much easier to just watch via YouTube

As far as the game goes its great. While I understand its still in beta I'm not completely blown away, it feels more like GT6 on heavy steroids. But definitely excited for it nonetheless.

Hello, I was looking to join in racing with the people here looking foward to your response.

@Kyle mills

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add @CoachMK21, @JLBowler, @nmcp1 & @zer05ive as participants. The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing club. Sunday races are organized exclusively through the GT6 Community features within the game.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread. If you have a preference for car/wheel colour and racing number, please follow the instruction contained here.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL :cheers:

Nice got the Gt sport invite, imma test it with the G27 and the gimx hack hope this works

I'm curious to know if it worked. I still haven't got the hack to work, since my laptop is terrible. I need to give it another try from the start to see if I can figure it out.

Yeah Coach most definitely man, so while I was downloading the game I was building the adapter last night, it took me a few hours because I had to solder and try to make a howto video but honestly it has gotten way easier to build the adapter.

My goal is to build the most cost effective way to get the G27 or the DFGT wheel to work on the PS4

I'll test both wheels by this weekend, I'll keep posting on updating everyone on my progress I don't want my people to shell out so much on the new wheels, if this works I can save my friends several hundred bucks they can use for bills and stuff, cause it's hard out there for a pimp lol

It's was great to see another SNAIL driver in that lobby. I was surprised at how quickly the VW was overtaken at the start of the race though.
It was good to see your name at the top of most of those races at BH. I finally figured out to start in 2nd to get a better launch at the start : )

Promotion and relegation is complete for this month. The drivers list has been updated. Scoring sheets are not ready to be created yet. This will be done Sunday morning as usual.

The three drivers that moved this month are @racingchamp30 @Whitey093 and @Wolfsatz .

Division managers should go ahead and create their thread for the April season and get duties squared away ASAP.

Ive been waiting to bump into some fellow snails but have just been paired with randoms so far. Maybe my pace is off and i need to step it up to get paired with good drivers.

I believe it's based on your SR (saftey rating). I was looking forward to racing with the 10 fastest qualifiers as I had 8th place locked up, but it put me in a completely different lobby where all of us had similiar SR (you start the game at 10 SR and move up from there, while the top guys on the leaderboard had around 40 SR)

I found the SR number jump substantially based on how I raced with others over what place I finished. For example the last race at the oval I placed near the end of the pack both races I entered but I went from 15SR to 24SR just by avoiding contact.
SR is essentially safety rating, DR is how much you've played/how well you've been placing. So yes, the best (and only) way to increase SR is to avoid heavy contact/track cutting.

You're playing this with a DS4 Sam? How is the experience putting a wheel on the grass? Require counter steer? Require MAJOR throttle release?
