I am finally done with this school year and have a few weeks between several summer events, I'll do some reading here and may log onto GT6 again - it is good to see some familiar names.
I'm still active with my local club Autocross, and running my older car with my son. My son just turned 18 and gets to do his first DE event in August before heading to Virginia Tech for engineering. We run the newer car on the track for more safety. I'm even more involved in the club's DE program. I'm becoming the DE Tech co-chair (I do the day-of inspections each morning at the track) for my regional PCA, and I've become a PCA instructor as well this spring. I was thinking of Club Racing in G-Class this fall, but I'm going to hold out until 2018. I'm handling the pace car duties for this October's club race for my region. Busy times and I wouldn't change a thing. Thanks again @JoeW - great 'supplier' for creating real car addictions.
I'm guessing the next-gen GT7 (GT Sport?) is delayed if things are still normal - is there any believable delivery date yet? I still haven't picked up a PS4 yet, but may do that in the next couple of weeks as well.

Seems like the number of participants in this time of only two divisions has been so lop-sided lately, I'm wondering if the current points adjustment system should be revised.
At this rate, Nic-Kl, I mean Division 1, will never get a shot at Prize A.
Not because Nic-Kl, I mean the winner of D1, didn't earn many points, but because the number of people in D2 is doubled, and that just isn't fair.
Winning the night in D2 with a large number of racers, can't be harder than winning the night in D1.
Can't a change in the current system be made to give D1 a chance at Prize A?

There are currently 21 drivers in D1 that have raced at least one time in the last two seasons. There are 20 drivers that fit that description in D2. Both divisions have the same number of full time drivers.
The only problem with the system is that drivers don't, and have never, seemed to want to show up and race in D1 for whatever reason.

I know the skill spread in D2 is much greater than it is in D1.
D1 is made of a couple D1 guys and a lot of D2 regulars.
D2 is currently made up of some D2 guys and everyone else that was once was in D3-D6, but is still racing.
Passing 6 guys in the current D1 is definitely harder then passing 12 guys in the current D2.
If you don't believe me, come to D1 and give it a shot!
That was my first thought!
Winner of each division still get prize A or prize B, then prize C goes to third highest points in whichever division.
I think this is the way to go!!!

@socalnatv do not fret i will be back this week to give d1 a numbers boost. I can only dedicate a few nights a week to online racing and i made a deal with the Mrs. that i wouldn't race Sunday after spending a few nights prepping for the PITS race at Silverstone. Got that out of my system so back to regularly scheduled programming, spec on Sunday and a new season of GT1 starting up tonight and taking up my Wednesdays. Throw in one night a week for GT1 practice and that is about my current allowance.

But, I will continue to fret over the points and prize situation.
I know it's tough to keep things fair and even in this time of SNAIL, but I'm just looking for an option for this current situation.
Same reason we went to the points leveling system we have now. The league had changed drastically then, as it has now.
