D2 scores and votes. Congrats @Kgffy on the win... only 1 point over @socalnatv

Someone needs a Wheel! Congrats Kg!

Sorry guys, I'm done with this {[<"CLEAN">)]} racing, as you call it. I've seen cleaner racing from little kids. I'm sure I screwed up once in race two, by being inside on a turn at the apex, not expecting what happened. But getting rammed repeatedly in the back from the same driver !
Please remove me from your drivers list. I wont be back. Not even to see what anybody says.

Afro, read my message on the D4 thread. There are multiple things that can and have gone wrong. For the most part, everyone on this league is very clean. However mistakes are made when racing. Don't jump to conclusions before reviewing the replays from multiple cars/views.

All I can say is just... Wow! First night in D3 and it was spectacular. My slight foray in the land of D2 was cool but I just didn't have the pace. Tonight was all about everything I love about this League. I think there was only one driver that I have not raced with before ( and he did a great job!). Tonight I truly felt like a SNAIL again. I appear to be with the right group now. A heartfelt thanks to all of the D3 drivers and admin for the best night of racing I have had in a very long time. It feels good to be back home...

Congrats Exo! You've arrived!

I’m guessing you’re talking about the last round since that’s the one you quit out of? If that’s the case, there was terrible lag in that round. I think everyone was a victim of it one way or another in those races. It happens, but the folks in that room certainly aren’t dirty drivers by any means. Sorry you had a bad first experience, but there is a system in place to deal with incidents in the form of incident reports like others have said so these things don’t go ignored if it’s found someone did something wrong.
glitch monster

One of those guys came from D4 and confirmed my suspicions about him.

Wow very cool calling someone out on the thread like this. First I did not have extra week on demo like some have so first couple weeks I was struggling, ps4 controller does not have case sensitive for x for gas and square for break so took me awhile getting use too. The first week there was an oversteer issue with controllers whitch finally got patched. After several updates and advise on controller settings yes I found some pace, especially with group4 cars. There several guys that notice I was struggling in practice a lot and then they started noticing I was getting hang of things. Also spent like 10 hours of practice this week because of holiday time. Tonight I did have good pace first 2 combos and a lot of guys crashing combo 3 giving me good points. Sucks the comments on thread trying to make me feel guilty when I’ve been busting my butt on haveing a clean racing night tonight did a lot more practice because I was struggling a lot early on in game. Thanks

Very interesting that you jump to making excuses. Below is my post from the BoD discussion that I made before this weeks races. Your reaction to my statement does make me question why you would feel like you were being "called out." Generally speaking, when someone jumps on the defensive so quickly, they have something to hide or feel a little guilty about something.

Whew. P&R is getting back to what it used to be. Divisions are pretty tight with a couple of exceptions that had to be moved. Just a heads up, Kgffy was moved up 2 divisions as he seems to be getting a handle on GTS physics and D2 is closer to where he belongs. Other than that it was basically the winners or top two in each division moving up and the bottom one to three moving down.

We have a few new driver spots to play with this month. I suspect we will be at least 6 divisions for the Jan. season.

I wish to join

@Reaper362436

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!
Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, Rednose58, MajorBlixem, SAMHAIN85 & llNovall as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

KG,
Take it as a compliment.

I can attest that not only youve put the wheel time, but also racing super clean. .

Hats off to you!!! :cheers::gtpflag:

Only reason why I responded so fast was I’ve been working so hard to get better and since I’m the only one that went from d4 to d2 and the comment your suspicions being confirmed really hurt. Being questioned why me or others moving up so fast or finding new pace I have no problem with, u guys work so hard on keeping this series going which I and a lot of others really appreciate. If u guys saw some of my early replays in practice and how much work I put in trying to get better u might understand more. First 2 weeks of Gt sport I almost gave up only thing that kept me going was couple guys here telling me I’ll get better, especially when pd started releasing new updates.

After racing tonight, I'm going to have to go into retirement again. Lots of great people in D1, but one person just ruins it for me. This is a great league to be a part of and hopefully things improve in the future. Best of luck everyone and congratulations on the win tonight @SAMHAIN85. Very well deserved.

Scores for November 26 have been pushed to Data and is ready for the data specialists

Says the guy who had not practiced at all this week?
Yes but this is the case every week. Look up my GTS profile...

Check my results and you will see I typically finish on the bottom half. I get on at about 7pm every Sunday night and practice the combos before race night.

I’m not bucking for a demotion. I think D2 is where I belong. I was just pointing it out. You guys walked in the door and killed it.

It was an observation. Don’t feel bad for practicing and reaping what you sow. I reap what I sow as well.

Feel bad???

I don't feel bad!!! :D

Slightly derailing this train... Noticed this on the patch notes for GTS 1.06 (Engrish corrected by me):

Sports Mode / Lobby
 - It is now possible to select a preset chat text when entering text chat.
 - You can now set an automatic greetings message for when you enter a lobby. The settings for this greetings text can be performed in [My Menu] -> [Profile Settings]. (*Up to 40 characters)

I haven't played with either, but these could both address the "kick with no reason" issues that have been brought up recently. Might be a good idea to start considering a couple 40 character boilerplate welcome messages... one for practice lobbies and one for race night.

everybody last night was a regular. Most have been in the league for almost 2 years, which one weren't you familiar with?

Black / White Report!
D4 Racing Report.

The night started right on time and we finished ahead of scheduled. We had one race with 1 car stuck but clearing out cache and reentering room solved the issue quickly.

At the beginning of the night we had a couple of people join the room but left after utilizing the (copy/pasted) instruction that said:
"This is our League Night. Please visit SnailRacing.Org to find out how to join us". I see that one actually made the request to join during race time. Last Combo there was a bit of lag that perhaps was caused by a visitor also joining during racing. Before that I did not noticed any lag.

Racing was fun. Both the Lambo and the Ferrari had its own challenges. Reverse grid with the Lambo caused a big incident at the bus stop and right after the bus stop as traffic was 'stopped'. Sandman's combo was also challenging for those with little practice. On Reverse grid I actually only made one pass, all other positions were due to attrition and avoiding 'Sloppy Joe's Buffet'. It was actually the first time that I go just at cruising speed for the very first few laps instead of pushing it. Strategy paid off.

So much passion we put into our race nights. Passion and Emotion can be really good and really bad at times. I've been victim of my own emotions many times. Why let one incident or once 'racer' kill all the good that this league has to offer. Many times I've also feel that way when for some reason on track you get together with that special someone that just keep coming and rubbing fenders with you.

I've never heard a champion said something of the like "I just dont like Kaselowski.. so I am retiring because of him".

Anyway, sometimes the little things we do go a long way. Your tip Russ allowed me to shave about a second of my lap times. Thank you for sharing!

Who was new this week?
The reference to all the new drivers moved from D3 to D2. KG won the night and he actually moved from D4. He is a Snailien in the making.

I always felt bad for guys like KG who were always just a bit too fast for D2 but a couple notches slower than “competitive” D1.

This discussion was had awhile ago but unfortunately there is a no man’s land below the top 4 or 5 D1 guys. We have to fill the divisions but those last few D1 guys end up getting used to disappointment. They rotate back to D2 and the top D2 guys rotate up to D1 and the cycle continues.

Historically all the divisions were tight throughout...and there was movement up or down to stay in a competitive environment. But once you get to the top you’re either a division filler or an Alien :)

Sometimes you fly too close to the sun and you get burned :) I know a few of us here got burned. Others were beamed up to the alien ship!

So some new cars were added today in the update, but the Audi R18 is 1mil and the Shelby Cobra is 2mil. So we're not gonna use them...

I know the idea is to allow new drivers to be able to race with us without having to grind for money too much. But really, grinding for credits is a menial task that anyone can do while not even at their console so it would seem that point is slowly becoming out of touch. We are eliminating all of the VGT cars with the limit where it is now and with such a small car count to begin with it seems odd to limit it in any way. Your thoughts?

I'm assuming you mean rubber-banding your controller and running an endurance race on an oval track? I know it probably sounds cheesy but I don't feel right doing that. That said, I have no problem earning enough credits to buy a 1 or 2 million dollar car and I really wish we could use that Shelby!

Oh I'm definitely hoping it will just get raised over time but I personally don't see it as "a lot" of work. Work, yes, but it's like Ronco kitchenware. Set it and forget it! All you have to do is set up and then go to sleep. When you wake up it's done. I'm sure some people might have issues with electric bills or other issues I can't think of but probably exist. I just wanted to bring it up for discussion. If it makes change then great. If not then at least we discussed it.

Just an FYI, PD has been active in correcting a lot of the "work around" ways to grind credits. Including the one I passed along to you.

Darn. Okay, 86 everything I just said.

There are screenshots of the new career mode races and the payouts are in the millions. Hopefully that's not a placeholder image.

The credit cap will be evaluated on an ongoing basis and when the decision is made to raise it, there will be an announcement made in advance of the change.

I'll check the payout on the GT League events once it is released but I wouldn't be shocked if the payouts seen in the screen shots were from a Japanese version of the game and represent Yen which has, in past versions of the game, shown to be about 100 times (IIRC) the value of our credits.

I'm surprised I haven't seen that brought up. Many people were thinking it would be a huge payout but yea that explains a lot. It's probably 20K or 200K
