First quick impression. I really like it. Brings the whole rig alive and makes it part of the game. I think I'm lucky to have no rattles anywhere. This little thing packs a punch. Picks up a lot of the "wind rumble" in GTS. Not sure but I think I would like to turn down wind sound and see if it's better but that's not an option.

Picks up kerbs well. Transmission shifts and engine rumble is really cool. Cant wait to try pcars2 and F1 2017. A lot of fun to experience if you have extra money.

Speaking of which I have to work my day off tomorrow doing sound. This stuff isn't free.

Edit: set the Amp to the recommended settings. I put on my headset and decided to run laps on the new combos. I'm absolutely loving the experience; feeling like I'm actually running a car on a track. The combination of the feedback through the wheel matching what I'm getting through the rig is amazing. Running through the gears is very satisfying, almost how it felt power shifting my old mustang at the track. The wind rumble is ok as it's bringing the rig alive going down straights. Not much else there in GTS because the tracks are unfortunately smooth as glass.
It's going to be difficult to drive without the Buttkicker now. Going to try the other games tonight. Pcars2 should be even better due to better engine and environment sounds.
Did you have to buy anything to complete the connection to the PS4? I have a PS 4 Pro and use the optical output for my headphones. I ordered the Buttkicker2 gamer today and have seen that some people said you needed and additional HDMI adapter.

Some people use the headphones out from the TV to the Buttkicker amp. I didn't have headphones out so has to get the converter. Optical out from TV >converter>headphone out> Buttkicker amp

Edit : you could also use RCA out from TV if you have that.

OK so now that I'm almost over my wheel screwing up in the enduro race Tues night with 2 laps to go, I am looking at wheels and leaning heavily towards the T300 but I have some questions....
1) Is there any difference between all these different T300's? Specifically I'm wondering about the.
Thrustmaster T300 RS Feedback Wheel for PS4 vs
Thrustmaster T300RS GT Racing Wheel for PS4/PS3

Is it safe to assume the RS GT is an older model because they list it as PS3/PS4 and the RS only shows PS4? Is there newer technology that an older model wouldn't have? I ask because I can get the GT with the 3 pedals cheaper than the RS which comes with the 2 pedal setup.

Get the GT. That's the newer package and a better deal. I purchased the GT edition, sold the pedals and picked up the Pro pedals. I did swap the pedal faces as I really like the wider GT Pedals.

It' doesn't matter what pedal set you get you will want to either buy an adapter and use your logitech pedals or buy the t3pa pro pedals ( worth the money IMO)

And can you tell me what adapter I need? I really, really like the pedals my G27 came with.

The new combos are f'n awesome. The Alfa at the new Gardens track is a real smooth ride (if you dont hop the curbs) and I can see it sticking around a few weeks.

The Supra is a monster and throttle control is key. Its extremely easy to spin off into the cabbage

I didn’t get that exact brand [of digital to analog adapter] but it has precisely those connections. In any case, I’ve been unsuccessful getting kicker and headset to work at the same time. Making me a bit insane actually. Additionally, I’ll have to get the microphone to work (Logitech 430 headset). The console is intent on killing the signal to the kicker when I plug in the headset [doesn’t matter where or how, I’m still trying scenarios]. The adapter is also intent on using just 1 output - can’t use rca out for kicker and headphone jack for headphones. After a few more fails, I’ll instead be looking for a strong rope and sturdy rafter. :crazy:

Is anyone else reminded of the Cape Ring triple apex turn when doing that similar complex on Dragon Trail Gardens? The long right hander before the final double apex left.

Regarding the Toyota Supra:
(For those who may not be aware)

There are 3 vertical lights on each side of the car.
During the race, if you move into P3 (aka 3rd place), all 3 lights come on
P2 = 2 lights
P1 = 1 light

Just FYI

With this track after the first left hander the esses that follow. Do we stay outside of the red concrete? (stradling this part threw the corner is faster but is this considered oob)

As the current track boundaries state (paraphrasing) the rumble strips are considered part of the track. Painted area behind the rumble strips are not. This situation would not be granted an exception. There will be a note that white / black rumble strips are to be treated the same as the red / white that is mentioned in the rules.

A full review of Dragon Trail Gardens will be done and any exceptions posted in the track boundaries before Sunday nights racing. Until then, assume there are no exceptions to existing rules other than the color of the rumble strips.

I'm not understanding how you have everything connected. Are you using TV optical out into your digital to analog converter? That's what I've done, along with PS4 optical out to the headset and HDMI to the TV. I may have changed an audio setting on the PS4 when I first picked up the headset. I can get audio through the headset, TV and use the Buttkicker, all at the same time.

Agree, but... here is my caution:

With the Alfa in the Garden the difference between a good racing line and ever so slightly off the racing line is huuuuuge. Too fast into the first set of esses (or chicane?) compromises your exit speed on the straight to the hairpin. The classic "slow in fast out". Problem is going to be that a "slow in" is an invitation for a dive-bomb for the guy behind. Remember that the guy in front has the right to the racing line if there was not substantial overlap before the braking zone.....

Many of the corners have to be treated like a set of corners where you go for the fastest time through (and highest speed out of) the set vs. fastest through each individual corner as if that corner was the only one there - if you know what I mean.

Maybe Samhain can post an instructional Video on the racing lines....?

I know what you mean. I believe that's what is referred to as a complex. A group of turns to be attacked as a singular section instead of each one at a time.

Bro how many lap have you done at gardens already? Very informative heads up. I javent drove it yet so ill keep that in mind.
