I prefer real world tracks and cars too but I understand what pd is trying to do. You can race Monza or Nürburgring or Suzuka in every game pretty much. Every game has gt3 cars and super cars. They are trying to be unique and provide an exclusive experience with their fantasy tracks and VGT cars and such. I imagine Sony pushes that too so their premier racing title has something the others don’t. I will say I have had some amazing races on those fantasy tracks though even though I don’t love them while some of the real tracks I do like such as brands hatch and Interlagos provide very few passing zones and boring follow the leader races at times.

What i like about PD is that they don't expect customers to shell out extra cash for season passes and not make it feel like the players have to be forced to buy additional stuff through paid DLC. Project Cars 2 required a season pass in order to get the extra content down the line. I like that PD doesn't require players to shell out extra cash for the game through additional DLC. It shows that PD is appreciative of it's fan base by releasing content for free. The game is finished but the way PD does it is that it releases the extra content so that the replay value stays in the game until the next GT comes out.
I like free stuff too, but in the real world people have to get paid. No money no new stuff.
If people want things like new tracks and are willing to pay for them it creates a demand. Then someone gets hired to fill the demand. They need to get paid so they charge for new content.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - PORSCHE 911 GT3 (996) 2001 (SS) at Willow Springs International Raceway: Big Willow - 17:30 Fine Weather (8 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Grandpa Money wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - PORSCHE 911 RSR 2017 (RH) at Suzuka Circuit - 15:45 Fine Weather (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @MajorBlixem gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @SAMHAIN85 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

I think that PD has such a huge fan base around the world that they make enough to not have to charge for DLC. Yes their is the option of micro transactions but i think if PD was not making enough money, they would ask for us to pay more for the content.

View media item 2540This week's prize winners are clear to make their selections. Good racing!
The IR Submission Form is now closed.
We have 6 incidents on file. Target deadline for reviews is NLT 10PM Eastern on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018.

@Grandpa Money @MajorBlixem @SAMHAIN85 will be added to a conversation in the next few minutes that will contain instructions and deadlines.

Edit: A potential error has been found in relation to the tie breaking process for elimination votes. The prize A winner, Grandpa Money is unaffected by this. The remaining two prize winners need to hold off on any choices until the possible error is sorted out.

Tonight the SNAIL Endurance Series is headed to Suzuka Circuit in the Porsche 911 RSR 2017 (Gr. 3). If you're interested in joining us, head over to our dedicated thread.

This is the first race of our 4th season (each season is 8 weeks long), so it's the perfect time to join. We're expecting 13 drivers tonight, but we're prepared to open a second lobby if needed (we have two divisions, so splitting won't affect final standings).

Official Prize Related Announcement

In the original results post, the calculation to break a tie in elimination votes was applied incorrectly. The combo that received the second most elimination votes was:

Combo 3 NISSAN MOTUL AUTECH GT-R 2016 (GT500) on RH Tires @ Nürburgring GP - 20:30 Clear - (6 Laps)

This means that our second and third prize winners are clear to make their selections. First up is @MajorBlixem with the choice to take prize C or pass prize C. Once that is done @SAMHAIN85 will be up to do his part in the process.

In case we are anxious to get the new track under our belts . . . so happens I was driving the Nissan GTR on Barcelona - I did it to try and make that laps go by quickly so I could familiarize myself with the track. I’m thinking Barcelona is not the best match for that car though (obviously my opinion, and you know what is said about opinions. . .). Drove the 1990 RX-7 and it was a blast at Barcelona.
There are so many other cars to drive! I know some of you guys don’t like Nurb but so many cars, one of the many unused cars is begging to be driven. Are we forgetting about the GT6 cheater car; the RX 500?
