Season 6 Changes​

Season 6 starts next week (3/5), and we're going to be making a significant change to the race format. In an effort to entice more Sunday SNAIL drivers to race with us on Tuesdays, and to reduce the hesitation of some drivers to participate in a 90 minute race, we're going to be splitting our race nights into two races:

Race #1 - This will be the combo from Sunday SNAIL that receives the fewest elimination votes. Tire and fuel wear will be turned off, damage will be set to "light", and the number of laps will be 4x the number of laps used on Sunday. Qualifying will be identical to normal Sunday qualifying. This will be another chance to get some practice in for Sunday night.

Race #2 - This will be the combo chosen by the Prize A winner (i.e. overall points leader, can only win once per season). Tire and fuel wear will be turned on, with the multipliers determined by the Prize A winner. The number of laps will be whatever it takes to get to the 40-45 minute range (based on mid-division lap times). Damage will be set to "heavy". The starting grid will be reverse grid from the previous race results. This will essentially be identical to the format we have now, it will just be cut in half.

These changes mean that we'll now have 16 races instead of the normal 8. This means that to be an official endurance driver (eligible for Prize A, guaranteed to race with other official drivers) you must be willing to participate in 12 of the 16 races per season. Each driver's top 12 races will contribute toward their total points for the season.

I hope you all enjoy the changes, and thanks to @Sean Renon and @Neutty for convincing me that this would be a good change for our series.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:

Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Kgffy wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

Ferrari combo is gone and KG chose this to replace it:

I had Prize B which allows me to freeze either the car or track of this combo (the second most votes):

Round 3 - AUDI R8 LMS AUDI SPORT TEAM WRT 2015 (RH) at Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa - 15:30 Clear (7 laps)

Instead of freezing the car or track, I decided to "pass" the freeze to Prize C winner @Alexrider007. He froze the track this morning, so I now have to come up with a car for it. Once I do that, combo 2 is set.

The 3rd SNAIL combo which stays is the one that was voted on the least (viper at nurburgring)

Its a win-win for everyone when prize winners announce their picks in a timely fashion. The faster they do it, the sooner we can start practicing.

I just loaded up a room to practice with the 350Z if anyone is interested, I went with 11:30 Fine and SM cause I wasn’t sure

Once the combos are decided they will be posted in the combo thread

Once they are finalized, the thread for combos is updated. You can find the weekly results post from zer05ive by looking up his profile and checking his post history. It almost always is posted on the Monday following the race night and it's usually done between 8 and 10 PM.

Go back two pages - its on page 4280

Combos arent "officially" posted until they are all announced. Thats when @Rednose58 steps in and generates the combo sheet.

Sometimes all 3 combos are known as early as Tuesdays, sometimes as late as Thursday afternoon. It all depends how quickly the winners announce them.

If winners dont post within 24 hours after being cleared by @JLBowler - or they dont make it known they're working on something, they forfeit their prize and it goes to a division vote. (which happens from time to time)

The very latest you'll ever have to wait to know what all 3 combos are will be Thursday afternoon. Thursday nights are our official practice nights - and we can't practice if combos arent known. Hope that helps

As has already been stated here. The time was not specified when the choice was made so the time will be whatever the game defaults to when the track is selected in the lobby. @MajorBlixem was asking someone to go into the game and check what that time and description would be so that he can add it to the combo thread.

Clear your network cache; reboot your router; restart your PS4. Other than that there's not much you can do.

Thank you. I restarted the router, restarted the PS4, how do I clear the cache(of the PS4?)?

Found out how, trying it now. Thanks again.

Edit, Cleared the cache(I think lol) and it still wasn’t working, so I tried to make my own room and it let me, computers. I’ll try joining another room again now to see if it works I guess.

Edit 2: Still can’t join another room, I guess I ride alone tonight.
