The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - SHELBY G.T.350 1965 (SM) at Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa - 15:30 Clear (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Raw10_2u wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - DODGE VIPER GTS 2002 (SS) at Nürburgring GP - 12:00 Fine Weather (5 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @THRASH gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @SAMHAIN85 so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

@SAMHAIN85 @THRASH @Raw10_2u will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes that will contain instructions and deadlines.

Here's a short race from a practice run. Good showcase how someone can stay 6 inches off your bumper without touching. It felt like a pack of wolves was chasing me!

Go Ol' West Wing Racing!

That is what Snail is like. Very close contact racing with barely a touch passing one another where we trust one another on track without wrecking. Yes there is the occasional bump here and there but majority of the time we race clean and competitive.

PRIZE C:

Pass the freeze

If you are a current SNAIL (even if you didnt race this past weekend) you may vote on what we freeze.

Vote to freeze the car- DODGE VIPER GTS 2002 (SS)
OR
Freeze the track - Nürburgring GP - 12:00 Fine Weather

Post your vote here in this thread before the deadline 3PM EST Tomorrow (Tuesday)
Dont tally the votes. Tiebreaker goes to whichever was voted on first

Freeze the track, Nurburgring GP.

On another note:
I posted some race photo footage of some D2 race action and a video clip of a great battle with the GT350 in our Feb D2 thread and figured I'd share it here as well.

I have to make mention that @Herimopp89 overcame a 5 second deficit in 2 laps to get on my tail by this final corner run to finish. His last 2 laps were a 2:11.9, and a 2:12.2 to my high 2:13-low 2:14 times. Another few corners and he would've had me. Great job Heri.
This video clip is the final 2 lap battle ShockGee and I had for 2nd place. Great race.

So many highlight points during this battle, but my favorite, was when we were going around the second sweeper where I held Shock_Gee down low by holding a tight line myself, and how cleanly he held his line to be so close, door to door, with no contact. Great race. This is Snail.

Great racing with everyone in D2 and welcome to our new drivers. Looking forward to a new season against you all.

During the February Season we had
37 sign-ups for SNAIL :gtpflag::drool: 👍

@Noob01_lmdead @Drifter1171 @Bubdub804 @Ranchero66 @Winnik999 @stevenson44 @Tiger10GT @fulltilt479 @hirnsauger69 @OldsWMachines @wackedkid47 @suprajef @WildOne1976 @math_is_tight @Mercin @Pigems @UpnDzcloudz @Faisal Lhan @Viper1mx @krusty9rs @dangerman1985 @WesLee @Fast4oldguy @Kaybee9000 @Shock_Gee @TVV0_ @Racer546324 @Duke_2246 @weazelgt @Fudman420 @HyphyNutz @Trc76 @Bcamp17 @Alden Mast @Diggypow @Robert Hughes @Micr0z

@SAMHAIN85 i am really looking forward to your post about the month of February and the new members we have seen. This time could you list where they are at in their sign up process so we can see who has fallen off the face of the earth and who is an official member by now. Let alone finding out the final tally on how many people have signed up.

I would ask you to list how many @llNovall has brought to the table but I bet it’s like 95%.

Feel free to post the SNAIL status of all 37 people Neutty :) (This post is already taking long enough to make)

Yes theres a few looking at the list that have yet to turn a lap in a SNAIL race, but the fact is 37 people took the time to find us, create an account and sign up. And its great for the SNAIL morale when people sign up. You just never know if they'll be a "lifer" - or if they disappear after their sign up post.

@llNovall is da MVP for recruiting this month.

Its a group effort so anytime you open a lobby promoting SNAIL, or send a message to someone that raced you clean and inform them about SNAIL, whatever it is we all win.

Its also worth noting February saw a total of 72 different people compete in SNAIL (up from 58 in January)

Keep it up boys
