All hosts should start tonight's racing at the scheduled time. The only reason to hold the start is to give someone who was already in the lobby their three minutes to return from the time they left, provided they are believed to have been disconnected, or to sort invisible driver issues.

Scoring completed for Div 2.
Nova and I tied for 1st place. We both had same number of 1st, 2nd AND 3rd place finishes (2, 3, 0). So it came down to who had the worst finish of the night. @llNovall wins because he came in 5th and I came in 9th for the determining the tie break. This may be the closest tie breaker we've ever had? Wow.
Edit: I got all 3 pole points, if you’re wondering how points were tied! I get an extra point for getting all poles.

Having raced casually many times with the both of you, I'm certain tonight was a great battle between you guys. Even if you weren't door to door all night, I'm betting you were roughly tallying points in your heads. You're both top notch drivers with tons of skill, courtesy, and competitiveness. I would've enjoyed watching the night play out between the two of you. Sounds like a great rivalry in the making.

I found this and this.

Both ties were broken by qualifying. The OLR doesnt go into specifics about what's used for tiebreaking if theres still a tie for identical podiums:

In the event of a tie at the end of a race night, the driver with the highest single race finish will be awarded the tie breaker. If both driver have the same best finish, use the second best finish. 2 wins would beat 1 win and 1 2nd place finish or 1 win and one 2nd place finish would beat 1 win and 1 3rd place finish. The driver who wins the tie breaker will be awarded .1 point on the score sheet only for the purpose of breaking the tie for that night. The .1 point will not count toward the season championship.

This is a scenario that @JLBowler and @zer05ive can chime in about because it's way above my pay grade. Well done on the close racing boys.

Wow! I had a great time last night, thanks to all. Some high points and some really low points. I apologize for any infractions I may be guilty of, especially in the first race at Monza. I tried viewing the replays to see what all I may have done wrong, but I'm having trouble. It was explained to me about how to search GTS Discovery using the format: YYYYMMDDd3r1r1 (Thank you Fudman420). I did this and found what I wanted, but yesterday no luck. I'm sure it's something simple on my end, but don't even know where to start. Once I get a look I'll be sending more personal apologies. Thanks.

In both of those instances, all six race results were a tie. In that case it goes over to qualifying results. When a tie can be broken with the higher race finish, as was the case this week, then the tie is broken.

The section in the OLR P&G thread covering points and ties has been updated with better examples and to clarify that we go through all race finishes to break a tie.

That looks to be a very Snail-like entry into the corkscrew. As opposed to, say, Rossi's....

Rode my Ducati to Monterey for that race but never got on track. Nice one!
I'm sure our old SNAIL buddy @aerolite has some great race stories to tell about Laguna Seca. He rode professionally for a long time as far as I know:cheers:

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - FITTIPALDI MOTORS FITTIPALDI EF7 VISION GRAN TURISMO BY PININFARINA (RH) at Kyoto Driving Park - Yamagiwa+Miyabi - 11:30 Fine Weather (5 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @llNovall wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - MCLAREN F1 GTR-BMW KOKUSAI KAIHATSU UK RACING 1995 (RH) at Autodromo Nazionale Monza - 17:00 Clear (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @stelephant gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Timlour so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.
