I skimmed through some of this again this week and I want to comment on the overall level of respectful driving I witnessed. Just really good stuff.

Having returned after 3 yrs I have to say the respect level of the drivers currently racing is fantastic across both divisions. I see a lot of drivers from both divisions in @llNovall series and everyone is just super fun and safe to race with.

Not sure of the best way to put this but years ago sometimes the “competitive spirit” overcame good sense for some drivers. Especially in the upper divisions...in my opinion. I think the allure of GT Academy sometimes clouded judgements

But it looks like everyone who remains is older, wiser and it really shows. Just a great overall attitude remains. I know there aren’t 5 divisions anymore but the quality of those currently driving has made my return so very pleasurable and satisfying.

@SAMHAIN85 We have a thread for this that you may use if you like <Holiday Thread link> I had very similar thing in mind this past Labor Day. I reasoned that it may take too long for the winner to get his pick together, so I devised a random car/track generator that is based on the previous finish race time. Check out post 345 (scroll up 1 post after hitting link). If you are interested in any aspect of this, I can share the Google sheet. It's a copy of SNAIL car/track sheet with added columns for random generator. I just updated this a week ago to get the new cars included. Funny, I was just messing around, I didn't plan to use it. BTW, this event was a blast, we didn't get any car/track combos that didn't work. (We had a crazy one though at Blue Moon with F1 W08. Was a blast). I could describe many details but you take/use what you want. Oh and Rednose has a sheet already made that makes scoring easy.

Thanks Rob I'll keep that in mind. And I'm aware of the previous holiday threads but I feel like some people get lost navigating the intrawebs and will be confused by the first post from a few years ago instead of a fresh new one.

It would be much better to just have it planned out instead of a random selection.

The point of this was to have some interactivity amongst participants and winners by either selecting cars and/or voting on tracks. I'd rather the masses choose than myself picking pre determined combos to race. But I think I know a way to fix that. People that sign up will have the option of choosing a couple combos for us to run, and we can use those throughout the night.

Just wanted to post that I am hosting a single race BMW M3 DTM Special Event on Monday, 12/28/20.
Two time slots available:
Early
12:30pm-4pm est for early race
2:30pm Room opens for 30 min warm-up
3pm-4pm est: 60 min race

Late
10pm-11:30 for late race
10pm Room opens for 30 min warm-up
10:30pm-11:30pm est: 60 min race

Plenty of early spots remain available, and a few late spots are still remaining.

I just realized that I wiped out all my decals (ever collected, I’ve never created any). I always put the decals from my ‘collection’ folder into ‘favorite’ folders (to organize) and then deleted them out of the ‘collection’. Bad idea to clean out the ‘collection’ folder. With selling my PS4 to a friend in jam with no PlayStations in stores, I backed up to the cloud but upon restoring GTS cloud saves to another unit, I find decals missing! Also, all my liveries that I ever created seem to be available, however I cannot access them to do any changes. (Could be that the ones I didn’t share are gone.)
Anybody have any knowledge, please share.

Did you save or copy any data to the ps plus cloud. If so, see if uploading the save data file for gtsport gets them back. Otherwise, their likely lost and you'll have to start re-collecting.

I will start the conversation sometime next week as we shouldn't need any deadlines to get this done in time with the week off.

LST is a duplicate winner. I will start that process later.
IceWarden will be a repeat winner but he still gets to choose if he wants to use or pass the freeze.

Got all my saved decals and liveries back! Thanks Nova. I’m guessing I didn’t want to overwrite newer files on the console with older cloud files but upon setting up a second console, I realized that the ‘newer’ files on the console were bogus.

What @Harry Rowley said in spades. The organizers are doing a yeoman's job running things. I really appreciate that I have a place where I can race. In a manner I am comfortable with. With people who exhibit craft and sportsmanship, along with understanding and assistance. Thanks to @Fudman420 @aedenmaddok @SAMHAIN85 and others for taking the time to work with me. Much appreciated.

My rookie season ended this month and I'm pleased with how it ended. The less said about the beginning and most of the middle the better. I don't pay attention to points for the most part, but couldn't help noticing the tight 5-way battle for 2nd in D2, and I was in it. Go figure.

Prize winners are allowed to choose the time of day for their track selection. If a specific time of day is not selected then the default time of day will be used. (Note: The time of day settings differ between arcade and online modes in the game. Always check the lobby settings when selecting time of day.) In the event that a track is frozen, the time of day will also be frozen with the track.

Please remember that any car and track combo chosen must produce a mid-division lap time that is under 5 minutes. Also note that any selected track will be bound by the SNAIL lobby settings.

Also remember that any car chosen must not hit the rev limiter at any time, even in the draft.
