The round that received the most elimination votes was:

Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Nicktune wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Nissan Skyline Hard Top 2000GT-R (KPGC10) '70 (CS) at Alsace - Test Course - S09 Early Morning (16 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @unsteddie gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Worst_Driver so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Fun night overall. It was great to race slower cars, it brought the pack closer together. @Kgffy Congrats on the well deserved win and you can and should defend your position on track, you have a fast pace no need to move over

@A_Higher_Place It really was a blast battling with you on track last sunday night. This is the kind of racing that makes SNAIL so awesome !

I'm kinda surprised to see part of my combo survive, even though the Skyline will be gone unfortunately. Also surprised that the Z survived, as much fun as it is, I'd like to see a replacement. Fingers crossed for next sunday night (Post memorial day weekend)

If any folks are going to be at Lime Rock for Trans Am, I'll be there all weekend (starting in an hour or two once I get my ass in gear) doing some driver coaching and hanging out with some friends. One or two gtacademy alums, former snails, etc. Feel free to reach out here, we'll be cruising around track all weekend.

Agree about defending, I give more then take and noticing lots of drivers not returning the courtesy too me so I’m going to change the way I race, that combo suited me, also props too @IceWarden getting a d1 race win, as I consider us d1.5

Racing is a competition where passing and defending are major aspects. I employ 3 approaches when I have someone behind me: move over, drive a racing line, defend my position to the fullest extent proper race craft allows. I'm happy to say I don't us the first approach nearly as much as I did my last time in D1. I use the other two depending on what I know about the following driver. As the D1.9 driver I only employ the 3rd approach rarely.

I find that the 3rd approach will often end with one or more people leaving the racing surface. So I don’t employ that one.

I am usually 2. I will only use 1 if I feel I am holding up a fast guy from racing another fast guy.

For me, approach 3 takes the form of taking an inside line well before a corner so I don't get dive bombed at the apex.

@CdnSweetTee and I have been away from racing the past few weeks, and the summer is looking pretty busy as well but we are hoping to be able to join Sunday racing from time to time throughout the summer. This time of year has always been busy for us, as we enjoy the car scene and off-road adventures in the Jeep, but will make an effort to remain on the active drivers list.
Which leads me to my question…..is there racing tonight, and if so, do we have a combo list?
Looking forward to seeing you all on track again, even if it is only occasionally.

Out of interest, what does your race car look like?

It looks like a Civic with rusty rear arches and missing clearcoat. And a big wang. No joke lol, the airfoil is a 9lives Big Wang.

Last weekend shakedown for a test day. Sorry about the watermark, most recent on track photo I could find.

This week I'll be changing to my regular number and cleaning up some stuff. One of these days I'll respray it. This is in gridlife trim last year.

The whole ensemble at best time to be at the track.

Sorry I’ve been MIA the past few weeks in D2. I work in retail and have been dealing with getting ready for a new store opening. I should be back racing in the next week or two.

I remember there was an issue with having enough admin support for some of the tasks necessary to run the D2 league. Is there an issue still? Is there some way I can offer support once I’m back?
