Good luck and best wishes, West Coast.

I know I have struggled with the throttle in my year in SNAIL, but when I see the big hp boys come out, my concern is when Driving Etiquette may take a holiday for POWAH!

Heck, we have not raced this, I only voiced my concern for possible contact and mayhem in some spots. GP/D just has a lot of hairpins and tight chicanes that make me more concerned about this car and track.

We will see y'all are 'correct' by the clear lack of complaints with this car and track combo next week.

Truthfully, some of the combos I was worried about did not pan out, so... My concerns are worth what I charged you for 'em! Maybe double.

Back to clean racing.

Oh. I though you were talking about the lancer.

Yep I'm picking dr green's pick, 96 Lancer Evo IV GSR at special stage 5

I was checking to see if I had that car and I noticed that mine was painted orange, with over 300 miles on it. I looked back at the old combos and saw that we raced this car on Tsukuba (with the motorcycle chicane), back on Sept 2. It was a one and done. Lets hope we get more than 1 Sunday of racing with it on Special Stage 5:sly:

Good thing is, only one car to break in!:)

Nope, watch it again, and pay special attention to the rear wheels this time. BTW, I'm of the opinion that any car can drift. a drift isn't about spinning the rear wheels, its about a controlled slide, initiated before a corner and carried throughout the entire corner.

Well, it's mentioned in the article, but we call "South Detroit" Down River. Metro cities like River Rouge, Ecourse, Allen Park, Lincoln Park, etc. the article says they were more rural towns back then, but thats not rally true. All the places I mentioned may have been rural, but more like, back in the 20's, definitely not so in the 70's. To get to the more rural areas, you'd need to be another 10-20 miles lower, Like Woodhaven area.

Worse, I again, will have to respectfully disagree. a dog cleaning crap off its arse is nothing like what they were doing. And since it looked pretty slushy on the road, I doubt any ebrakes were harmed in the making of that video. As a Canuck, I'd think you would know this.

Considering I'm from Metro Detroit, I will go with what I know, Sure, Windsor is technically south of the D, but no one has ever once that I have heard in my 30+ years of living here ever referred to Windsor as South Detroit.
BTW, I'm referring to what us Michiganders consider "South Detroit," AKA, Downriver, not what Journey may have been referring too.

Hahaha, it was a joke. I'm more of a RWD guy. ;)

And about the handbrake thing, seems like it's always on and back when I first got my license at 16, I was doing that kind of stuff (Less awesome though) on the first snowstorm of the winter and unfortunately my handbrake was a lot looser than before that night.

Needless to say that now I'm just using the handbrake to initiate the slide. :sly:

Yeah, I have to admit, I've destroyed more then my fair share of cars growing up. I've owned over 20 (most under $1000) in the 13-14 years I've been driving now. And all but maybe two of them were from driving back roads/dirt roads around Oakland County, Livingston and Macomb counties here. I've only ever bought a car with broken ebrakes, I've yet to actually ruin one myself. While I am admittedly a RWD fan, and really hate FWD for anything more then my daily commuter, and I would admittedly trade that up for RWD in a heartbeat. I have to say that that video was awesome. It wouldn't have been as cool if the streets were dry though.
I still remember my first RWD car. An 88 Mercury cougar XR-7, with the H.O. 5.0. even had those Mustang fin style rims. That car was a lot of fun. Slow, lazy drifts, but that engine could get that fast assed car moving.

Journey-Don't stop believin: I was too young for have knew him. I listened the song and some souvenirs came back maybe because I heard that on the radio when I was a kid. This song is a greatest hit and I love very much, so this will be in my playlist now.
