Question: Can I still race tonight with a 1 week probation?

Yes!

Probation affects future penalties. Ideally as a reminder to avoid them, doubles the penalty if you have one.

Race clean, do your best, no worries, especially if you run clean. Good luck.

Looks like tonight will be my last race till the middle of May. I might make next weekend if it works out at my hotel but the two weeks after that I'll be on a cruise for my one year anniversary. Even if I figured out how to bring my PS3 on the ship I think the cost of internet for a night of SNAIL racing would break the bank. I hope to have a fun night of racing tonight.

First bring the combo cars on the page 1 of this tread, secondly change oil of these car and see if u race tonight.

Odds are stacked against you this late at night. You need to run a time trial before being placed in a division.

Ninja'd by the man with a mustache.

When you no longer feel a part of something, nor have any fun doing it, it's time to call it quits. kcheeb out.

Kinda what a few of us have done recently. Stop by PP Cap racing sometime...light hearted good times with clean racing on top!

hey i couldent messege kcheeb but i put in a 135.742 i did it at Mazda raceway with the rx-7 with sports softs. if you like i can race in the division 3 or division 4.

I copied over the info from last week to this week for tally points in each lounge. I do not have any new racers inserted, directors.

Check on lap counts, I went with the 6 for combo 2, 7 for combo 3.

If qualifying is under 1:35, I definitely think we should go 7 laps. If you are hitting under 1:15, go to 9 laps...?

I got him set up with the cars in the past few minutes. He's just waiting on someone to accept the FR. He would be a solid d2-3 contender. I'll vouch for him.

I'll accept his D3 request so that he can get racing. They start in 20 minutes.

SNAIL is an addiction. That is all. ;)

No really it is a lot of fun. You have moments in racing where things are heated and silly stuff happens. No matter what level SIM or real you have those nights.

I'm looking to get the PC moved this week. So my attendance will be hit and miss. However with the addiction level it's most likely more hit then miss. Then again I am not sure what this PC thing will bring. Maybe the end of console racing. Highly doubt it. My roots to GT go back to very first release. So just don't see myself turning my back on it. It's provided some of the best times I've had and really enjoy the social aspect it provides too.

Ending with tonight's line up. The FR-S at Tsukuba is pretty ok, Evo was tricky, and Challenger was absolutely a blast. Not sure if it was the V8 rumble and torque but I really enjoyed that car. RWD V8 cars do it for me though.

Thanks for a great fun night guys. Needed that after my week.

Those that don't know. My 14 1/2 yr old dog come down sick last Saturday and didn't pull out. He passed Friday afternoon. Been a very trying week. Old guy raised my kids, been there through hard times, and truly was my best friend.

I'm ok with it and kids doing well, we knew he was old and everyday was a blessing. Still hurts the heart to lose such a loved one that really was like family.

Take care all.

That's great man 👍 SNAIL can be a tough mistress, but she's often worth it.

Sorry to hear about your dog. At the risk of never being seen as fully a man by anyone in SNAIL from this day forward, I'll tell you about my cat that died last year. I know the feeling. He was a cat that thought he was a dog that thought he was a human. He was dumb as a rock, but it sucks to lose a pet you're close to, and since I work at home, I spent a lot of time with him (and no people). Still hurts a bit to think about his last days.

Very sorry to hear of the loss of your friend, Owens.

Growing up, I have huge memories of many friends, but Duke, Misty, Rusty, and Max are more memorable and had more great memories for me than some of their owners,

Appreciate their time and love and do your best to move forward.

Good luck.

If it were not for the many helpful guys, but more importantly, the amazing work by kcheeb, zer0, and others, I would not be here in SNAIL. Even if I do not call them out, or if I am 'discussing' something else... They are core foundations of good racing, and starting to lay a firm foundation to build upon further.

When my wife asks why I stay here (she knows how I place... No lying, I tried...once), it is because I learn so much, I can see by how much data-wise, and I can usually laugh, ideally, even more, than any score I get.

Sorry for your dog Owens. I wish you and your family well. :)

And it's a pleasure to battle on track with you. 👍

You're welcome anytime you feel the inner SNAIL in you coming back. ;)

Had great racing with you D1 guys tonight. The Challenger was a blast to drive, but the EVO was fun to get real close to the walls.

For some weird reason i had a tremendous feeling about tonight. I was feeling fit, confident on my driving and very anxious to start racing.
After 5 races i'm in third place overall and pulled out an incredible 6th race with the Dodge winning it with a 7 second gap to the second place.
I jumped straight to first position with same points as Panda.
I know that right now the results are unofficial and most likely there will be a couple of race complaints as the second and third combo were tricky as hell but i can't hide the happiness of such achievement.
A big thank you to everybody that played a part on my evolution as a vitual race driver, specially all this amazing snail crew.

Sorry to hear about your dog Owens. It's never fun to go through that.

Great racing in D1 tonight though. I'll be kicking myself for a while for my mistake in the second race as I think that cost me the night. Great fun otherwise though. The Evo was my favorite. I really like cars that are loose on entry when you want them to be.

Sorry to hear that your dog passed, but glad tonight allowed you to take your mind off that for a bit. My dog is 13 and I get choked up just thinking how close I know she is to the sunset of her life.. :(

Seriously?? a cat??? Go ahead and count me as one of the one who no longer sees you as fully a man.. Ha ha just kidding of course! But speaking of cats (or more specifically The Cat in the Hat).. Dr. Seuss has a quote that has some meaning while talking about the lives of our fury loved ones..

Don't cry because it's over.. Smile because it happened.

I am kind of overwhelmed right now with all I have to say. Shocking since I tend to ramble on a regular basis!! We are an animal based family and with my wife growing up on a dairy farm, we take our K9/feline members of the family very seriously. We have lost some of the most amazing animals (members of the family) over the years. We lost both of our elderly dogs last winter and I know how crushing it can be to lose such amazing companions. There is an amendment to The Man Card that allows for attachment to cats. It is kind of like a trout stamp for your fishing license. It's all cool with us!

Racing tonight in D4 was just awesome. Although there were only seven of us, the racing was close, clean, respectful and fun. I had some great mid-pack battles that make this all so much fun! The point I would like make is that this is more than just a group of individuals that get together once in awhile to play a video game. SNAIL has some of the coolest people on the internets and over the past year, we have grown into a racing family. This is more than just a league. We have our good days and we also have our share of pissing contests, but at the end of the day, this is a rare collection of the best people this world has to offer. I really dig my interactions with all of you. Thank you all. More than any other time in SNAIL, we need to band together and support our league and all of our fellow racers. At the risk of sounding like an infomercial, anything we can do to support our racing habit in the form of volunteer work would be very helpful right now. Let's all pull together and take SNAIL to a whole new level. Volunteer a little time, actively seek new members... Look at Schmiggz latest post. He is on top of the world and gives props to SNAIL for how much his driving has improved... Sorry, I will shaddup for now, but think about it, and lets make this league even bigger!!
