Here's my feedback...

PROS:
  • Keeps Races within the 2 hours with about 15 min to spare

CONS:
  1. It has an enduro feel to it.
  2. No qualifying for 2nd and 3rd round
  3. if someone hits you and you get spun (like I did) pretty much you're race is over, much harder to make positions... with 2 races per round at least you get a reverse grid and another chance to score points.
  4. The 1st and 2nd rounds were surprisingly tight considering we had representation from all divisions.. however there were many that drop during all 3 rounds
  5. The spread with the Peugout was the biggest with 1:07 just 1 to 6th...all others dropped

I liked the experiment, but I like the traditional way of SNAIL Racing much better.

I have to say I agree with everything stated above. I enjoy having qualifying for each round much more.

So you guys went straight into the second and third race without the 10-minute qualifying session?

No, we ran 10 minutes of practice before each race, but we did like you said and ran reverse grid every race.

I think the system we already have in place is very good. It's difficult for me to see why we are even trying different formats.

Anyway, I agree with what the guys above me have said. Having no qualifying between races also makes the grid stack up way too much behind the slower cars. I had an incident in the second race where the car in front of me took a turn slower than usual and I had to slow down to avoid him. Because there were so many fast cars behind us though, the accordion affect caught a couple out and myself and a few others had spins. We then got to enjoy a nice long drive with not much competition because the pack was so far ahead. I think that instead of reducing the urgency for people too pass because the race is longer, the urgency has risen because there no qualifying anymore and passes MUST be made for drivers to get to the top instead of taking it easy and waiting for the next race.

It's not that the suggestion was a bad one though. I just think the current format is already perfect.

Off topic but does anyone have a low mileage (less than 9000 miles) Ford RS200 they could send me? Happy to send something in return.

I don't have a low miles RS200 but I have a rally base car ticket I could sent you. I don't know if it is on there for sure, but I think it is. It would just require some flippin'.

I'll take a gander when I get home. I have 3 but not sure of the millage. Btw, do you want the road going or the rally version?

The road going if you have it. Thanks for checking.

What is with all the aversion to cars with mileage? Just refresh it with a car restoration coupon.

Anyway.... I sent you a 0 mileage '84 RS200 435pp.

Thank you. For the performance cap racing a high milage car will be at a disadvantage if it has over 9000 miles even if you do refresh the engine and body. More miles=less HP:( and I need every HP I can get to keep up with the fast guys.

Well then just throw the car away because I used a restoration coupon on one in my garage to bring it to 0 miles.

You know I have never used a restoration coupon! That is good to know. Time to start duping those:)

They can't be sent. The best way to go about it is to restore the car on one account and send the car to the other and then restore your game save back to before you used the restoration ticket. I would do this to get the RS200 from one account to the other with 0 miles but the ticket doesn't remove tuning parts like it says it does. If you've done weight reduction or staged engine mods, the ticket will not remove those parts. As a result, I too am looking for an RS200.

I'd like to start a Formula SNAIL SPEC Series if there is enough interest and likely run in on Tuesday nights. For now, Turtle F1 is all we have available during the week and they do a very nice job on it 👍

Long story short...I had to start a new game save etc. I am not high enough level to buy the Level 24 car (working B Spec as fast as I can) and it can't be gifted apparently.

So I MAY not be able to attend the final race on Sunday...although I am working on B Spec...

Do A spec Seasonal Events to level up fast. Going 0 to 24 shouldn't take more than an couple of hours maybe.

EDIT: Borrow friends cars to get into the higher paying seasonal events without buying cars.

I can put on my Peugeots on online... Blue or Multicolored?

PRIZE C SELECTION!

4/14/13

Level 24 Ticket (F2007)

If someone has this broken in that would be even better, trying to practice for F1 turtle tonight

it doesn't take much laps around Indy to break this one in. I broke mine 3/4s in just 25 minutes before the Sunday event we did. 22 laps around Tokyo to be exact.

after the 4 races we did.. after oil change it got up to 100%

Or grind, the bspec grinder over night will get you there by morning while you sleep. I was level 40 in three days using it as such. Google or search the forum for bspec grinder. You should find all the info you need fast. You can send me a FR (rallywgn81) and I'll put you on my list to grind.

If you can have this end before my Oval series starts (11ET), I would be willing to give it a shot. I haven't run the formula cars much except for some seasonals but I'd still try.

We could start at 9:30 and then we'll have time to do both Formula and ovals!

B Spec Level 10 now. I should definitely make it by Sunday at this rate.

Not really enough seat time to do a lot of A-Spec stuff...I like B-Spec because you can set it up, leave to do some work etc, come back and set up another race.

I have all the DLC stuff so throwing the X2011 in any race it can participate in is easy pickings and quick xp.

The online A and B spec require attention that I can't necessarily provide.

I have never heard of a B-Spec grinder. What is that all about? (Edit...read your post more thoroughly...I will look it up via search)

I had been thinking about the idea of an open wheel night. Each night would have a kart race, Caterham race, and then either an f1 or redbull race. I just wish the Caterham's gearing did not suck. Are there any other open wheel cars? Once GT6 hits we could add the KTM and Rocket to the mix.

Bpsec Grinder is by far the easiest and fastest way to Level 40 Bspec. Have your friends grind it for you while you sleep!

In regards to the F1 on Tuesday nights, I could even start as early as 9pm and go until 10:30pm giving the oval guys time for a beer break before hitting the ovals. I do work some Tuesday nights making for an irregular season, much like real F1. Thinking of doing 5 week Championship seasons.

Who would be interested in trying this out Tuesdays, 9pm to 10:30pm?

I have a 0/255.6/0 RS200 '84. Whomever wants it is welcome to it and can send FR to dragonwhisky and can send on to next person, so on and so forth.
Can likely have it back to you 5 minutes after FR is accepted.

I would be down for some F1/open wheel racing Tuesday nights at 9:30ET. At least until bowling starts up again.
