Hey guys, to late but data for d1 10/02/2016 is done.

@Ness and me have been eliminated from the gt academy. It was a mix of bad luck, not much experience driving a race car and poor execution. I can say that as a group we were fast so it was close and tough from the beginning. I'll write to you guys in more detail when we get back if you like.

@Enzo_Goiko is still in the hunt and the best candidate to win in my opinion. México starts p1 in the final race this Wednesday.

Sorry to hear of your elimination but you guys can be proud of your achievement in making it so far. Your fellow SNAILS are proud of you also. 👍

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Nissan GT-R NISMO '14 (Racing: Hard) at Mount Panorama Motor Racing Circuit (5 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Xradkins wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 3 - Mazda Furai '08 (Racing: Medium) at Trial Mountain Circuit / Reverse (9 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Grandpa Money gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @lllTrick so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Congrats to all the winners this week!

Hey man you guys did your best out there, I'm happy to be a part of snail just for the fact of a few members being a part of the GT academy.

After playing 2 matches the guys are really cool in this group :-)

For poops and giggles before trial mountain was announced I made a room to see where its good. Apricot Hill is literally perfect for it. No major trouble spots and the opening esses are a blast

Hum, I'm thinking something with a 'Trick or Treat' theme.

Yes... they do. The camber of the road could fall away from you, or a turn can be opposite camber like how they changed the last turn at the Malaysian GP Circuit. Or even just elevation change mid-turn, that kind of stuff. Obviously a person can upset a car, even on a perfectly smooth flat road. I'm talking about when you're driving and the road changes from smooth/flat and you have to adjust to keep the car stable. You know what I'm talking about dude, c'mon now :)

Apricot Hill definitely needs some throttle modulation in the esses and the last sector with that triple chicane thing. Other spots like Turn 1-2, the carousel, and the last turn are examples of the road working with you as opposed to against you. You don't have to fight to keep the car steady on those bits of road.

Yeah I got to go with the penguin going into the second tunnel on trial mountain pissed that car off! It would get a little bit of air at the point you wanted to make your turn in and the front right would bite hard on landing we had a lot of spin outs in that turn in D3
The secret of the tunnel was lift just before you hit that spot...no air and you can take turn at a good speed and get on the gas early
