There definitely needs to be more options at election time. Perhaps a third party would be the answer. There was no win for America this election period. Hilary was obama 3rd term (essentially) hard to believe and even harder to trust. Trump, well I don't even really know where to start with this guy. He's ass backwards on so many issues and he just says what ever he wants to validate what he's trying to make true in that moment.

Watching his victory speech last night it felt like he didn't even think he was going to win. It was like he didn't plan for it. I obviously don't have much say in what happens in america but as the number 1 neighbor. I worry how the side of my house is going to look after dumb dumb finishes "renovating" with his huge...bare hands.

Oh well, it's on now...hoping for the best....at least there's SNAIL. Because car!!

And, as a person that has emigrated and now came back, it is not an easy decision nor an easy life.
So although the threats if moving to Canada are funny, especially when you imagine very polite people asking forgiveness for hunting others down on moose back, it's better to fix yo poop than to simply up and move.
Unhappy with the govt? Fight back, fight for your rights and try to steer the discourse towards where you want to go.
If you just move, you're giving up and admitting defeat.
Fighting for what you believe is always more rewarding (unless it's Putin or other dictators like him, then get out while you can)

Correct. It is viscous circle. I'm not one for conspiracy stuff as I tend to look at things much more logically. The big press cover the main party candidates simply because they have by far the greatest chance of winning and that's what their audience wants to see. Media is business and they will inevitably cater to their audience. Until the system proves there is a large enough threat to hinder that two party balance, nobody is going to give anybody else the time of day.

This election probably hosted the greatest level of "lesser of two evils" as I've ever been witness to, yet at the end of the day we still gave a measily ~5% of the popular vote to candidates outside of the left/right. Same as most any election before it. People complain about the system and do nothing about it. *shrug*

Exactly. The immense wajority companies that "someone" needs to do something, but since almost everyone thinks like that, there isn't a someone willing to do it other than the ones already in politics. And hence, the song remains the same.
