I'm always willing to lend a hand helping people go faster, we just need them to show up in practice lobbies other than Thursday.

My post wasn't intended to imply that you or anyone else weren't; my apologies if that is what was inferred.

I agree that to improve, folks should spend time elsewhere at least in addition to Thursday. IMHO, (Blood) Thirsty Thursday is perhaps the worst day to show up for practice hoping to learn.

I don't spend the time on GT6 that I used to, however I'm certain there are others including yourself that are more than happy to pass along what they've learned. Perhaps if someone notices an individual looking to improve their potential it could be beneficial for one of the more experienced folk to take a special interest in them. I know that from my own experience teaching others the way has not only been rewarding to me, but also has improved my own driving. Even when I'm sent back to basics for a very green beginner, I always find teaching those very basic techniques to be a reminder to myself to be mindful of those skills and not allow me to develop poor habits.

Every driver is different, as is the manner in which everyone learns. What works for someone, may not 'click' for others, even if the technique is the same. The way some folks conceptualise or picture certain inputs and reactions can differ, and that is why I say if you(royal) more experienced folk find yourself in such an opportunity; don't be shy about taking someone under your wing. I know that not only have a I learned a lot from my students in the past, but my best friend is also a former student of mine. I suppose I could say they are still a current student, too, as now I am of theirs as well.

Anyway, carry on folks.

👍

@Marcus Garvey has indeed always been extremely giving with his knowledge. Hey, @VetteVillain, you can't go wrong with following his advice, but just as an illustration, when I started, I used to show up from Wednesday to Friday every night I could, try to get into the rooms with the fast guys and get replays from them, then study those and figure out where I was losing time (easy: everywhere). Then I'd watch the replays from race night if I had the time as well.
Then things start clicking, you start to figure out why something works and not just that it does, so your times are better even before you see whatever others are doing.
Keep at it, ask for help, listen closely to practice lobby chatter and you soon start maximising your potential.

Cant emphasize watching replays enough. my biggest improvement in the game came when i kept getting demolished by a guy by the name of longbowx. i started watching back the replays of the races and seeing what he was doing different than me and i found a lot of speed fast. still couldnt beat him but i went from d4 speed to d2 speed instantly with just a few technique adjustments.

I also get a lot from GT1 when we have open practise and im on track amd others are giving me pointers over the mic as i lap. The mangos are good with that too. Couldnt have done so well with the furai at trial mountain without tom mangs pointers over the mic. he wasnt even directing it at me he was talking to chevy but i listened and dropped my times right there.

Ok, I did save the ones from last night Div 4, but I was only asking so that I might be able to view the races from Div 1-3 as well, but not a big deal, just curious. Thanks for the reply

The FUD is your friend :)

A link on where to find race Replays:
https://drive.google.com/folderview?id=0B3-HXDmi9uAKTU5aYTN1aDE0cXM&usp=sharing

The replays are zipped so you will need to unzip them. Do not rename the unzipped files. Put the unzipped files in a folder named SAVEDATA on the USB.

Not sure what the intent is. If you want to check what the 'faster' racers are doing, the best thing to do is to save replays from practices.

I believe that the replays are originally posted to a public folder in google. They are not meant to be 'public' for all to view, but a Steward can confirm.
Yeah I was only looking to see the differences from division to division, as well as the similarities, but it's really no big deal. Thanks for letting me know.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Lotus Esprit V8 '02 (Sports: Medium) at Tokyo R246 / Forward (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @Engmatic1 wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - BMW 320i Touring Car '03 (Sports: Medium) at Red Bull Ring (6 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Beastmodep gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @MikeGrove so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Ahh, the Lotus had a good run with us

I'm kind of in shock that it really got voted off.

Just to give everyone a heads up. Any new driver placements and any drivers list updates will be done on Thursday night this week. This means that any new driver wanting to join or any driver wanting to get reactivated will need to have their time trial submitted by 11:59 PM ET on Thursday.

Drinking game for tonight's election. I'm watching CNN

Drink if:
-They have a "Key Race Alert" and the lead changes. One swig for each state
-A state reaches 100% of the vote tallied
-Finish your beer if Clinton wins a state
-Have a shot if Trump wins a state
-I'll think of more but it can be fun

That first one is enough to make you die of alcohol poisoning thanks to Florida...

Hey, Muricans.... Don't panic. Give him a chance. I have feeling that it is going to be better.

Time to unite and embrace all your fellow citizens - You are a great nation and you will become even greater.
Thanks for your kind words Red, but I can't say I agree with you.
