  • Use the upper gear as soon as you start sliding (you need good wheel speed).
  • You can go past 90 degrees without losing the drift or your points (backwards entry).
  • Crash on the line where the sector ends (have the car 90 degrees to the track).
  • Use the driving line to increase your smoothness.
  • Brake bias to the rear may add a bit of smoothness in transition.
Note: I'm using a G29 with the full 900 degrees. No handbrake used, just the weight transfer. Stock brake bias.

Division 2

  1. Phlano_099 -------- voted to eliminate Round 1 - 91.1 (89.65 for Prize B)
  2. no1needs2perish --- voted to eliminate Round 3 - 91 (89.55 for Prize C)
  3. Ice_Warden -------- voted to eliminate Round 1
  4. Kakalaylay -------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  5. Canoworms1 -------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  6. EvoSpec10 --------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  7. RacingChamp30 ----- voted to eliminate Round 2

  9. ruggermole -------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  10. cesarr64 ---------- voted to eliminate Round 2
  11. Skills_19657 ------ voted to eliminate Round 2
The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - PORSCHE 911 GT3 (997) 2009 (SS) at Circuit de Sainte-Croix - C - 20::30 Clear (4 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @gatordaryl wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.
PLEASE NOTE: Since @gatordaryl has already won Prize A this season, he is ineligible to win it again until next season. This means that unless he loses Prize A due to incident reviews, any driver who competed in Division 1 on Sunday night will have the opportunity to suggest an entirely new car and track combo. I recommend that all D1 drivers from Sunday night start TESTING combos they would like to suggest. That way, you will be ready to post a good combo when @JLBowler gives the "all clear". It's important to mention that a good combo will not have a car that hits its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft). Also, please be sure to only suggest one combo. Any driver who suggests more than one combo will automatically be ineligible to suggest any combos at all. Please don't let that happen to you. Only suggest ONE combo (but not until @gatordaryl is confirmed as the Prize A winner).

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - NISSAN FAIRLADY Z VERSION S (Z33) 2007 (SM) at Nürburgring GP - 17:00 Clear (6 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @Phlano099 gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @Rob Brown so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

Car Selection Guidelines
See Section 3 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines.

Track Selection Guidelines
See Section 3.1 of the SNAIL OLR, Policies and Guidelines

Just above is the last results post from the February season.

The prize A winner was a repeat winner so that will go over to suggestions. @gatordaryl has not said that he will be participating on GT Sport. All drivers that have said they will participate on GT Sport have been tagged in this post and can make a suggestion for Prize A. Once complete, if gatordaryl hasn't committed to racing on Sport, the highest finishing driver from D1 that has committed will choose from those suggestions. That driver may not choose their own suggestion.

Prize B and C are clear to make their choices. @Phlano099 is up to use or pass the freeze. Once that is done, @Rob Brown is clear to do the other part.

@Kgffy @Worst_Driver @Skills @ruggermole @Phlano099 @Harry Rowley @Yugofan @Bologna_Duc @CANOWORMS1 @Chiochansan @platymusPrime @racingchamp30 @JamCar0ne @Rob Brown @IceWarden

Deadline for suggestions will be 11:59 PM on Tuesday night.
If gatordaryl does not commit to racing on sport by that time, @Worst_Driver will make the choice from the suggestions.

I have read the first post and would like to join. Introduced to SNAIL through @llNovall 's Michelin Challenge series.
@rsrgse

Here's your official SNAIL Welcome Post!

Thanks for your interest!
Here's what you need to know (and do) in order to join SNAIL Racing League:

We run a clean league by enforcing a strict penalty system based on the SNAIL OLR (which is a modified version of the GTP OLR). We also expect all of our drivers to know and follow The Good Racecraft Guide. Please become versed in both if you aren't already. Once that is complete, please follow the steps below to complete your entry into the league:

1. You start a conversation and add zer05ive, JLBowler, nmcp1, Rednose58, MajorBlixem, SAMHAIN85, llNovall & Akzl298
as participants.

The conversation title should be "Request To Join".

2. SNAIL Administrators will respond with specific instructions on what you need to accomplish to join the SNAIL [Spec] Racing.

3. Place the following links (URLs) in the favorites (or bookmarks) in your web browser for quick reference. Please make every effort to read and understand the following links. Over the years a great deal of time and effort has gone into creating this league and we would like nothing more than to have you but we ask that you take the time and effort to do your homework. 99.9% of any question you may have about SNAIL can be found in the posts below.
4. You drive fast and clean on Sunday 👍

Again, the original post has everything you need to know about what to expect on Sunday night and what you will need to have completed in order to be competitive. If you have any questions, please feel free to post your question on the thread.

During the week we run a number of different events, we encourage all SNAILs to join as many as possible.
Welcome to SNAIL

Is this car available "on demand" (can anybody buy it at any time)?
Yes, we are back on GT Sport for the next three weeks so no used car dealer. Thank god, this feature will really limit our choice of cars once we will move to GT7.

Wild thought here, It would be so awesome to be able to share our cars. For example, lets say I take a 78 Trans Am, mod it to hell and back and that would be my car for the combo. Everyone in the league could buy a copy of this exact car it with the same locked setup and it would still be spec racing but with modded cars.

Working lobbies like we had in GT Sport would be great at that point…

One can only dream, but realistically, I still want shuffle races back.

Gents,
I’m unable to provide a selection this evening. Super excited to see what’s on offer. Thank you guys, appreciated.

Yes, sorry. I misunderstood and thought it was gonna be 3 weeks of GT7. I have a few adjustments to make in the background

I really wanted to pick my own suggestion though 😂

Can’t wait to race with you guys this sunday night on GT Sport. This was missing from my weekly routine even though I enjoyed not being tired as hell on monday morning for the last month.

1.11 is out. Good news, payouts are increased on multiple events. You can earn a 20 mil easy on the circuit experience, but it is a one time payout. New 1 hour endurance races too…but lobbies are still broken. Impossible to change settings once the lobby is open.
@racingchamp30 Go in to your completed circuit experiences and you should get the updated payouts.

On another note, just completed the Deep Forest Raceway endurance mission. Rewards were Gold (1st) 500,000, Silver (5th) 400,000, and Bronze (15th) 300,000. Finished second and earned 700,000 (w/o clean race bonus) No mention of a handicap award, so unsure how they factored in prize credits.

Nvm, not enough coffee yet

Those are one time awards. You got second so you received the bronze and silver prizes. If you do it again, you will need to win to get anything and then you would get the gold award. If you would have won on your first try, you would have received 1.2 million as that is the sum of all three awards. Those races are not repeatable for credits.
