What is the time frame to start using the used car dealership? It seems most of the cars are refreshed Monday, and stay until at least Sunday. Staying away from the "limited stock" options, we should have no problem with people getting these cars to race with on Sunday. If we narrow it down further to just the "NEW" used cars they should still be available for purchase all week and on Sunday for @IceWarden and other late purchasers.

Can anyone provide feedback on the race starts? Specifically, getting lined up and starting the race at the start finish line. If it's proving easy to get lined up, we could choose another point on the track for the race start. This could add to actual time spent racing.

As for the lag. It appears that GT7 does not handle connection issues in the same way as GT Sport did. GT Sport would not let a questionable connection into a room or freeze them on the grid is some cases. GT7 apperars to hold up the entire room as opposed to freezing one driver on the grid. There are probably more differences that we don't see as well.

For the sake of everyone's enjoyment and quality of racing everyone should do a couple of things.
1. If you are using WiFi, stop using it and get a cable. They can be found on Amazon dirt cheap and will make a huge improvement. If you are using satelite internet, I feel bad for you but maybe online racing isn't for you. There is a reason that iRacing doesn't allow it.
2. Clear your cache before you enter the room / game on race night.
3. Enter the room as early as possible. Based on a few comments, the stability of the room got better as the night went on.
4. Hosts. Get organized and have the room open sometime between 9 and 9:15 ET to allow everyone to get in.
We need clear instructions for both lobby settings and line-up / race start procedure.

As the scorekeeper for division 3, I called out the driver line up prior to each race.

For the first race we managed to line up okay and then proceeded a rolling start with the intention the lead driver would declare where they intended to begin the race. Looking back on it, not certain the lead driver actually made this call.

For the rest of the races of the night, more drivers wanted to go-at-the-light, than spend time lining up correctly. I continued to call out the order and some would try to place themselves correctly as the race began. But overall, the line-up prior to race start failed miserably.

I am against a rolling formation lap and prefer the race to begin within the first couple of turns. Clear instructions everyone is familiar with prior to race night would be great.

I'm unable to find replays for D2 @racingchamp30
Go to showcase in GT7. Selection will be automatically selected and next to it before all the images will be Content Type all. Press on that and switch it to Replays. Then go down to Content search, select content type as Replays, put in snail where it says Keyword and the Replays will show.

Found them. Thanks. Divisions 1 and 3 placed the Snail format (yyymmddd_r_r_) in the keyword box. Might I suggest for consistency, that this be standard. IMHO. :)

I agree. I found starts on Sunday a bit confusing, in no small part because I was unable to attend the practice nights. I like @Rob Brown idea. I think a full pace lap is too time consuming. Pick a straight early in the lap and start there. After T3 at Brands Hatch worked. Should it be single file or 2 abreast? I think each division can make that call.

Despite some confusion at starts I really enjoyed the good clean racing in D3, and we will be a well oiled machine next week.

PS, I would like someone to give me some tips on data entry, my new job this season.

This is still under discussion. Also under discussion is the ability to allow cars that are won or required to have from the menu books up to a certain point.

This has been the standard ever since replays could be shared in game. If they are still tagged incorrectly, please go and change tag #1 to the correct naming convention.

Starts will be single file and a point on the track will be selected each week based on the track that is being used. For the record, that point for the first week should have been the start finish line. I guess calling it a formation lap didn't make that clear enough. The start point will be posted each week moving forward.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and/or tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select must not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in a draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to choose the Integra Type R as your car selection, post "Honda Integra Type R (DC2) '98". If you want to select Monza for your track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". Being specific helps us to update the lineup accurately and also helps avoid any confusion among the drivers. Also, please be sure to list the HP and Weight (LBS) of any car you select. For track selections, include the time of day (e.g: 09:00 Clear) or else it will be left to default.

So with JamCar picking new combo, car and track, does that mean all three rounds will be at that track?

No mods :)

But honest question from someone who doesn’t mod. If it doesn’t increase performance, what would make the wide body mini more fun to race than the stock mini?

I don't do mods except for the appearance. Wings, skirting, etc...However, in the Sport Mode Daily Races, I widened the Mini Cooper and it definitely handled better. I've also noticed when changing rims, you can also change the size. I've found changing the size has increased and decreased handling as well...

I think if it handles better it is an improvement modification and shouldn't be allowed. It's my assumption that if something impacts a cars PP, it is impacting the cars physics and not just it's appearance.

Here are some results of modifying the Clio R.S. 220 Trophy '16: No change in PP: wheels (no change in specs) side skirt, hood pin, tow hook. (I didn't try lights or license plate). Change in PP (all positive): front valence, wing, wide body. All items can be removed except WIDE BODY. A new car has to be purchased to get pack to stock, same as weight reduction kit.

In one trial with the BMW M4, adding a wing reduced it's PP. My assumption being that the increased drag is a negative, but then this should produce an equivalent down force with resultant increased grip. A wider body allows a greater rim offset, widening the cars stance, producing better handling. Changing a cars PP is tuning.

For me this may be a problem in that I have been using shared liveries. In GTS is was just paint jobs, now it's a whole modification of the car. I have still been using them (no wide bodies) then removing all the parts that I just paid for, but have an impact on PP. I do change wheels.

It’s funny that his major concerns don’t concern me at all. I don’t do Daily Races and the weather I could give or take. I just want the multiplayer lobbies to work like they used to.
That is what i want back with hosting Snail lobbies is have the online lobby setting be the same in GT7 it were in GT Sport where i am able to not just save the combo but load up the next one without having to leave the lobby.
