This was TBong and I after the race :D

It's not official, but this is good news - I'm happy Bottas is being given the opportunity, although I would have like to see him continue to help bring Williams back to the front.

SHame I didn't get the job, guess I should have worn my carbon fiber tie for the interview...

Of all the cool and intriguing outcomes we could have had, this is most boring one.
OK, it was impossible to put Wehrlein in and hope for a Max type outcome, but putting old man Massa back in is so meh. At least Bottas will show people how good Rosberg was, because Hamilton will wax the floor with him.
All that's left is hope that Red Bull (read Adrian Newey) pulls a miracle out of their hat or else Lewis is cruising to his 4th WDC.

They say it's all but confirmed and we will hear within a fortnight, I'll believe it when it's a signed deal. I agree with flip, Bottas will never beat Lewis. And Massa coming back is just wrong, he's done, the motivation just can't be there. There are a few experienced drivers still hang'in around the paddock that could do a better job for Williams. Paul Diresta to name one. I'm disappointed right now in Williams but will always support them.

Blame Martini and Papa Stroll. They need an experienced driver next to Lance and that was the best they could do.
Di Resta would have been a better option because he might be rusty and it would look good on Lance to be close or even beat him. Although, if he's a second off of a guy that Williams picked off the street, that would reflect poorly on Lance...

Prize A Selection:

Subaru IMPREZA WRX STI spec C '09 @ Deep Forest Raceway Reverse

PP: 470 (477 after oil)
Power: 303 BHP (331 after oil)
Weight: 1450 kg
Tyres: SM
Estimated mid division laptime: 1 min 25 sec

There's a bit reasoning behind this. I competed in my first Sunday night race with SNAIL on the 5th of January 2014 and the combo that started it all for me was the Subaru S206 NBR @ Deep Forest Raceway Reverse. So as the next round of races fall, as near as dammit, on the third anniversary of my daunting experience of starting off in D2 I thought I'd mark the occasion with a similar combo while still ensuring a car that has not been run before.

As it happens, that was the first night @Kgffy started out with SNAIL too and also present in that room were @nmcp1 and @socalnatv. Each of whom, along with many more here, I'm happy to call good friends.
For me it was the first night I moved from the pad to the wheel... I ended up getting pole in D1. It was a great combo.

@turnupdaheat Great story and great pick.
