Friday night I had the plan of opening a public room (since I didn't) expect to find anyone on. However, when I went to the Snail Lobby I saw 2 on. Wow interesting for a Friday night, so I started to get my rig. To my surprise, @socalnatv was on. But he was also accompanied by no other than TCrash! packing a few dozen kilos of rust, but it was nice seeing him on track. As always, I kept laughing at all his jokes and NOT politically correct remarks. @thorracing and @Xradkins joined a bit later and we had such a good time kicking it between old Snails!

It felt like good'ol Snail, and made me realize that SNAIL under GT6 is at the last stages. Really want to enjoy the ride while it lasts.

My wife was still busy doing some of her anime online event that started on 4/01; so I started to watch some old replays from two years ago. Wow.. always great times.

Thanks Wolf. Haven't been on the track in a long time so I was a little rusty but had a great time with you guys. Brought back some fun memories. I'm contemplating on coming back to race again.

The round that received the most elimination votes was:
Round 2 - Suzuki GSX-R/4 '01 (Sports: Medium) at Côte d’Azur (6 laps)
Therefore the entire combo has been dropped from next week's line-up. Since @turnupdaheat wins Prize A, he gets to choose an entirely new car and track combo to replace it.

The round that received the second most elimination votes was:
Round 1 - Honda S2000 LM Race Car (Sports: Medium) at Red Bull Ring (7 laps)
This means either the car or the track will be replaced for next week's line-up. Since @JamCar0ne gets Prize B, he has the option to freeze the car or the track, or he can give that option to the Prize C winner. If he gives the freeze away, then he gets to decide what car or track replaces the part of the combo that is left unfrozen by the Prize C winner.

Prize C goes to @socalnatv so he gets whichever option the Prize B winner does not select.

Preliminary prize winners, please don't announce your prize selection until all incident reports have been filed and it has been confirmed that you don't have any penalties. It's also recommended that you review the SNAIL combo history and other data on our car and track history so that you can get an idea how many times we've raced each car and track. Please remember that originality is always appreciated, so picking cars and tracks that we've never raced is a plus (but not required). What's more important is that you thoroughly test any combo that you are considering before making it your official selection. For example, any car you select should not hit its rev limiter at any point during a race (even in the draft).

IMPORTANT: When posting your Prize A or Prize B selection, please list the complete in-game name of the car and/or track you are selecting. For example, if you want to select the Amuse Superlegara for your car, post "Amuse Nismo 380 RS Superlagara". If you want to select Monza for a track, post "Autodromo Nazionale Monza". This makes it much easier for the lineup to be updated accurately and also prevents confusing other league members as to which car or track you are selecting. Also, please be sure to list the PP and HP (after oil change) of any car you select.

Currently tracking 3 Incident Reports
We have at least one prize winner with a racing incident being investigated by the stewards. This may, obviously, change the order of the prizes to be selected. All winners are asked to refrain from making selections until the Weekly Steward's report has been posted.
The target deadline for the Steward Reviews, this week, is Wednesday night by 10PM Eastern. The Steward Summary will be posted as soon as possible, following completion of reviews.
:@: SNAIL Stewards, please make your way to The Incident Review Scoring.
The IR Submission Form is now closed.

All potential prize winners will be included in a conversation in the next few minutes.

You can move me to the backup list. I don't have the lap times to be even remotely competitive in D1 and I'm just getting in the way on the reverse grid races unless it's a combo I can pick up with a few minutes of practice. I'll try to make a few events here and there but I can't commit to the whole season.

Agreed, which is why I'm just in the way in D1. At best I get a few laps on Thursday if I make the practice sessions, and a few before we start the event. Friday-Sunday I don't usually login to do any racing.

But even the combos that stick around like the S2000 at Grand Valley, after a few weeks of driving I'm still qualifying on the back row...and I end up racing solo most of the session unless someone crashes.

That is the wrong attitude. I've been on track with you and we are pretty much on par. I felt good last Sunday and I was even able to come up with a Silver on reverse grid. If I just keep the car on track and avoid crashing, I would've end up somewhere in the middle.

Going to the #s.. I am sure that @JLBowler uses lap times and other bits and pieces for him to have put you in D1. It is not because you don't have the pace.

...but are you having fun either way?

I am! :gtpflag:

I'll stick with it but I just can't focus all my time on it like others do. I'll join when I have the time during the week to pre-run the combos, but if I don't get any seat time (like last week) I'm not going to show up and make a fool of myself.

Skynet... I mean, I have become self-aware.

I have very low to no practice on average also.....so when I race with less momentum than others, I just let them by with some pain. Some combos fit more like a glove than others and need less practice....so I am less forgiving to being passed on those combos.

It is a graduated affair where the biggest learning curve is when you throw yourself to the wolves with little to no practice. It is an enjoyment that I like.....

My biggest problem is that there are too many distractions at my place especially after the daylight savings time. The northern town I live in, does not change the time which has increased the distractions.
