Seriously good data for any of you younger single guys or those of you with teenage sons or nephews. I felt the need to share this ASAP. Those of us over 25 or that are married learned this information the hard way. I don’t usually enjoy data gathering and statistics, but this analysis is dead on the mark.

:lol: :lol: :lol:=👍

OMG!!! After being out of touch with the thread for several days, @GUTTERBOY3007 certainly doesn't fail to disappoint! After 17 years of marriage to my best friend, I've always given this bit of marriage advice to friends and family: EVERY woman is crazy. Marriage is about finding the type of crazy that you can deal with and remain happy. My wife agrees with this philosophy by the way, however, she says it applies to men as well. Now you know what kind of crazy I'm willing to deal with .

On another note, @SGETI , it sounds like some tragedy has fallen into your life. I'm truly sorry for your loss my friend. As I said recently in reference to Mike's Mom's passing, my mother has been an incredible help to my wife, son, and I while I'm dealing with my medical issues. She's delivered to our home one complete meal - with desert - every week - for the past seven months. Nobody loves us like our Mom. I'd like to extend my deepest condolences, especially since I'm a bit late.

Hope you are still on the road to recovery, I mentioned to Steve I noticed a device you could clip onto a controller.
It was a tiny wheel with gears. I don't know how to send a link. But I'm sure if you used the google, it would pop up. It may do until full recovery.

Hey guys do any of you use a BenQ projector or something similar? My lamp popped and i need to replace it and was wondering any of you guys know of a good place to get the replacement online.

@Hanable I’ve had pretty good luck with these guys when I needed replacement lamps for my projectors: https://www.projectorpeople.com/accessories/lamps.asp

And these guys are always reliable, but sometimes a little pricier:

https://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/search?Ntt=Ben Q lamp&N=0&InitialSearch=yes&sts=ma&Top+Nav-Search=
Thanks bro. The lamp i need is on the front page of the bhphotovideo. I need the lamp for the BenQ ht3050. Price is what i expected. I was just worried about getting some fake stuff that pops 10 mins after install

OMG guys, I did the unthinkable :D
I bought GTSport!
For 30 bucks you can't go wrong, right?:P

Lol. It’s not THAT bad, and $30 is a pretty good deal. It came with my VR headset so that’s the only reason I have it. But if I didn’t have it the $30 sale would tempt me to get it. I think PCARS is all of ours “go to” game for racing, especially online. I like the F1 games for career mode, Assetto for just hot lapping tracks because of the good physics and GT:S for driving cars in VR and especially for letting friends who’ve never tried VR before go for a few laps. About the only other driving games I play on a regular basis are DiRT Rally and Isle of Man TT (motorcycles). As long as you have fun, $30 is worth it.

Gt sports is not good and not bad , I also bought it for vr and then tried dirty rally,

Both games thou gave me a migraine because of the vr , speck savers here we come ,I've always had brilliant eye sight but read some where from the age of 50 you lose 25% of light going into your eyes hence the need for glasses as you get older,

Have you guys ever sent a right message to a wrong family member, well exactly what silly bollock here did to my aunt Benny in America , it all ended up ok .but I definitely need to get glasses lol

Ask me or Aero about my email screw up years ago. Very embarrassing.

Recovery is coming along... Slowly. As a hail Mary before cutting, my surgeon wanted to try a steroid injection in my hip first. It actually had a little bit of a positive result. So that automatically put surgery off for a while so we can focus on my hip's health. Not entirely a bad thing. I don't know if I've ever shared my age, but I'm 44. My surgeon just doesn't want to do a spinal fusion on me unless it's absolutely the last resort. It's coming eventually, but the longer we can wait the better. We thought we were there until about a month ago, but I've actually had a little improvement since then. Short sessions in my rig are tolerable. I'm actually hopeful to join in on Monday night - but I have some other business to attend to on Monday. Hopefully it'll be taken care of in time.

Any surgery is not a good thing ,it's how you recover afterwards ,

I has 2 discs explode after going treatment using the swimming pool ,I was in a wheelchair for 18 months because I could not walk , eventually an op was only way ,so the discs were fused and touch wood since 1997 my back has been great ,but it was the recovery and putting my mind back together which was the hardest thing , and I still am a roofer ,, hope you get well soon.

Holy smokes, we have some "broken" people here. I had some close calls in life and went through playing rugby with a broken nose at 17, broken arm at 44 and a torn calf muscle at 46, but that's it. I missed half a game with the broken arm and missed two games with the torn muscle.

I think at any age, we should be cautious and protect ourselves the best we can. The consequence of a bad decision or the laps of concentration in a risky activity can be real bad. And then you have the situations that is out of your control where another person's bad decision turns your live around.

The picture below is not meant to be mocking anybody. It is meant for those who still are healthy to keep your awareness high and be thankful that you can do things that others may struggle a bit with.

Like I've been saying for years, Granturismo is not a racing game. It's a car game where you can also race... eventually. And that's their secret to sell millions. Unlike project cars, GT offers a neverending menu of petrolheads and car fanatics cookies and goodies like no one else attracting all sorts of car lovers including some race fans and I say "some" because after one hour browsing on line rooms all I found was "drift", "cruising" and "show your cars" rooms. "Racing" rooms, just a few with 3 or 4 people there.
And that's where I am. I don't give a damn about fancy helmets, colorful racing suits or chrome golden rims, I want to find that half second to catch Sgeti :P

You can say that again. Bunch a broken geriatrics and semi-geriatrics. LOL.
Knock on wood so far in my life of 63 years I've had very few accidents and have never had any broken bones whatsoever. Just 3 incidents I can think of:
1. As a teenager while out with class on a drawing assignment I decided to show off my daredevil stunting abilities on my chopper bicycle going downhill (on grass) for the amusement of others. Bad idea. I decided to show them "No hands trick" while traversing the decline. Somewhere along the middle of the decline I let go of the hands on handles and put feet on handles to steer. ((((BAMMM)))....Next thing I knew I lost control, ended up on grass sliding along with bicycle just ahead. Long and short of it, bottom landed on brake lever and punctured my bottom. Yes I now had two holes. That was my first experience of having to get stitches but luckily no broken bones.

2. Again as teenager, racing around the block on bicycles. I was winning but wanted to take the edge around a corner blindly. As I swung around the corner low and behold I ran into a car coming in my direction (one of them old hard iron cars).....I was on the wrong side of the road of course. Anyway I slammed into the car hitting feet and whatever else and landed on bonnet. As a crowd soon emerged wondering if I was dead or alive they put me to sit down on the pavement. I literally saw stars. They asked me if I wanted to go to the hospital. I said no (afraid of hospitals) but I was still took.
Long and short of that one....Was laid up for a bit but still no broken bones. I think I have strong bones.

3. Somewhere in my 20s after a long Friday night lime in my then favourite watering hole/pub and after many beers I headed home (this about 2-3am now) from the city to home some miles away. Along the way I was between nodding off and awake, catching myself every so often but not wanting to pull off at the side of the road, just wanting to reach home. I was almost there.
.....Just about a few minutes away now (3-5 minutes) from reaching home via the highway I must have dozed off for a few seconds or so. The next thing I knew I abruptly woke up to the car shaking. Half the car I believe was off the road on the roughage which caused the shaking. Natural instinct I veered to the roadway to get back on, car lost control, skidded eventually smashing straight on dead centre onto a light-pole on the opposite side of the highway, landing plump into a deep gutter on the side there.
Luckily someone saw what happened, stopped and approached and following that a few others.
I was out of it for a bit but could hear voices asking again if he dead or alive. Car was a total wreck. I still have a picture of it. I was again took to the hospital bleeding profusely from my face but feeling numb. At the hospital they wouldn't let me look at my face. They thought it would be best not to have me look. Ended up getting about 16-20something stitches...Eyelid etc. That was a bit scary as I thought I may have lost an eye and I wouldn't look too good with one eye.
Again I was laid up for a bit but would you believe again no broken bones? I healed up famously quickly (somehow I seem to be able to recover from whatever quickly...maybe is tiger blood) and after just after a couple weeks (about 2-3 weeks I think) I was back out to work.

And there it is, my adventures.

Actually I was invincible until age 57. That's when the elephant sat on my chest.

I love hearing your guy's stories. @Rednose58 , your gif is absolutely hilarious - no offense taken at all. @Senna94f1 , the getting your mind right part - oh, we could probably talk for hours. Mike and Steve are a bit more privileged to my whole story, but my issues have been going on for a long time. It's just gotten a lot worse in the past year. The fact that you're still a roofer?!!! Mad respect my friend. Way to overcome.

@Schmiggz , the invincible thing, yup, that was me until I broke my back. Snow skiing, water skiing, knee boarding, wake boarding, skate boarding, mountain biking, etc. Broken bones and teeth were a yearly occurrence from about age seven to twenty. Things actually calmed down once I got into college and then started working full time - which then came with motor-sports instead of physical sports. Dirt bike, four wheeler, snowmobile, Jeep. I had a lot more respect for motor-sports ironically. I wasn't so balls-out. I loved horsepower, but knew it came with responsibility. I sold the snowmobile after the second broken bone accident - Arctic Cat ZRT 600 Triple that I primarily road on the frozen rivers around my area. All studded up track and fresh carbides about every three weeks. That thing was destined to kill me, and I recognized it, and sold it.

The stories... I'm lucky to be alive. I'm luckier to be walking. Pain is going to be a part of my life until I die, it just needs to be manageable. Hopefully we're getting there.

Oh, and @davidt33 - you have a guardian angle. You're blessed. :sly:

Against the rules of double posting and all... I'm going to do it anyway.

I just took the X Bow R for a drive around Fuji. First time around Fuji in ProjectCars 2 (yup, it's been that long :ill:). This car is doing so many things that I don't want it to do :banghead:. I don't remember how to tune this stuff out  ! I'm still going to give it a whirl though. Man, it's so funny how fast you learn a new game when it comes out, then you forget it all when you stop playing, then they add some new stuff to the game, and so on. I'll just be happy if I can manage a clean last place. So long as I can still recognize the blue flags when needed, and not out-brake myself into the rear end of someone, I'll call it a success. I'm really excited to get back into the action. Hopefully all goes well Monday. Fingers crossed.

Ok I'm curious now as to how the wife ended up sitting on your chest. Spill the beans.

And Gr8, great to hear you and Stevo getting back on the track, albeit slowly but surely. It'll be great to race with you guys again. Plus for now I think I should be able to beat you two until so that's a win in my books.
