Just a reminder that ANYONE that is not a confirmed Top 10 driver and want's to race next week, must attempt to qualify using the KOQ process. Additionally, Top 10 drivers are welcomed to submit times if they wish and will not impact KOQ process.

Once you are in the KOQ Time Trial, when you're ready, click the black & white (not green) start race flag and drive around until the timer expires and let the game take you back to the room lobby. If you leave before the time expires and takes you back to the room lobby, your time will not be recorded.

This Week's KOQ closes on Sunday 2/8/15 @ 11:00pm eastern.

In honor of @Parcells2 tapout will review his season 2 race 1 races. Tapout was in the leading with vovik right on him! It was a spectacular battle between them! Then tapout took a little to much fuel and vovik got the lead! Later on tapout got 2nd. The next race tapout started second with vovik in front. They were racing hard against one another then all of a sudden tapouts wheel Unplugs!!!!!! OH NO, but still got a 3rd place finish :). Last race tapout started 3rd from last and he got his way to 5th and as the race went on he grabbed the lead! GTP sypher who was in second pitted a lap earlier than me which when we cycled through he got a 3 second lead on tapout! When tapout was barlely catching him the race ended. Nice job from all the racers! Good wins there vovik and GTP! Better watch out for that rookie!

Congrats to @brntguy for being the highest finisher in points tonight (21 points) that is not in the top 10 in the RCS.

You know it is considering who will be at KOQ. Thank goodness for the Tues.Nite feeder series. I believe this is the second time I have enjoyed this feature and am truly glad to take advantage of it.
Btw great racing by all tonite, was a whole lotta fun even with the spinouts etc. The racing was just excellent!

Great racing tonight, a lot of great battles, I did find it difficult early in races not knowing what tires the competition was using and on how hard to race them, guess that just adds to the challenge. Getting top 5's all three races was a first for me, guess Laguna being my favorite track helped a lot.
 
I for one am counting my lucky stars tonight. I have been struggling with this combo all week and was deeply concerned going into tonights races. Just could not put together consistent laps leading up to tonight and even had issues once the races started. Glad to get out of there with decent finishes. Results will be posted Thursday.

All in all, great night guys to the start of the season. Glad to see the new guys mixing it up with the regulars. Going to be a fun season as always.

2nd Race Last Turn

I have reviewed this finish from more than one angel. During the race and after the race are two hugely different perspectives.

Going into the last turn I felt Kgffy on my rear. Purposely I stayed left going into the last turn thinking I will not leave any room for Kgffy to try and pass on the inside. I felt I stayed straight and took a clean line into the last turn. Mission accomplished. How wrong was I.

Upon review I can clearly see I gave to much room on the left. I had not protected my inside as I thought I had. As I play the review I can see me edge to the left ever so slightly so as to pinch Kgffy into the apex and we made contact.

This was not my intention. I am sorry Kgffy for my actions.

Was I trying to block or protect my position on the last turn? yes. Did I execute my move properly? NO.

For this reason I feel Kgffy should receive 4th place and I will take 5th place as he clearly deserves that finishing position.



On a more positive note, pictures will be up hopefully today. At the latest, tomorrow.
 
So, something like this would need to be filed via the IR process even if its a self report. That said, points/places would not change however point penalties could be assessed if needed.

Hope this helps to explain the process.
 
Yeah segti it was last lap and i love hard racing and thats what is was, I have not watch replay and I know u are clean and in the heat of the battle stuffs going to happen but I do appreciate your statement, cya on track.

We had a one penalty applied to this weeks results which have been reflected in the current standings
  • GTP_Ph7shr: -16 points for starting all three races on Race Hard tires. By rule, highest finish is DQ'd

Next week the series heads to Brands Hatch Indy 80's circuit in what should be another interesting race. Hope to see you all there.​
