As most of you know by now, due to some family medical issues, I had posted that I would be stepping down from series director starting with the new seasons. Over the past couple weeks, I have worked with the advisory panel on next steps. Good news is that things have improved a bit for me and my family over the past couple weeks however time is still somewhat limited. Based on this recent info, I’m happy to announce the following changes to the organization of the series.
Series Co-Directors – @@Zii1993 and I will work together as series co-directors. This will ensure there is always someone at the helm should things come up unexpected. As you know, zii has been with the series from the very early days and is well respected among the drivers in the series including myself.
Race Host – This is the first major change as @@Zii1993 will assume the role as the primary host for all race nights. Due to my current situations, I may not make it online each night and we want to have a regular host going forward. @@Wardenclyffe and myself will serve as back up hosts and will host the nights activities from time to time.
Chief Steward – zii1993 will now serve as Chief Steward going forward. All IR’s will need to be sent to zii going forward and he will coordinate that review process. Im happy to say that for the most part, this role is not called upon often as you guys are some of the most respectful guys I have had the pleasure to race with. However we all make mistakes from time to time and the IR system is there to support the series and promote good racecraft.
Race Stewards – As part of the organization change, we have brought in a couple of well-respected drivers to assist with the IR process as Race Stewards. We’d like to welcome @@vovik05 and @@aerolite joining the team with @@brntguy and @@Wardenclyffe as our Race Stewards
Chief Test Engineer – This was a role I was doing however due to the time commitments (or lack thereof on my part) we have transitioned this role to@@Wardenclyffe. Warden will work with @@SGETI as one of our testers in identifying upcoming combos to be voted on.
Scorekeeper and Statistician – I will continue in this role however some of the detailed stats may be dropped due to the time it takes to compile the info from the replays.
With these changes, we feel both series will be stronger than it was before and will continue to meet or exceed the high standards we have grown to expect from the TCS and RCS. Should you have any questions, please feel free to let us know.
