We can have a change of heart, once we had the actual game in our hands and can feel the difference between the two...quite a lot. The number of people who don't have GT6 is few, and the people who do have GT6 (which is the majority) are going to be quite inconvenienced by continuing with GT5. Obviously, we don't want to exclude you (or anyone else), it certainly isn't that. It's just now that we can properly evaluate the difference...the difference is quite large.

I wont hav time to go back and forth on gt5 and gt6, The big handling difference makes it a given, im focusing on career mode to get more cars, when we start running series on new gt I'll be there.

I'm actually glad someone else gets to pick for next week. :sly: Good job Coach.

I would also like to add that S.T.a.R. does not support crime.

How do you transfer replays? I am dying to see that first race at Deep Forest. There were three of us Mazda's on the limit bumper to bumper for a good few laps. Reminded me of Porsche Cup racing I see in Grand Am.

Gonna be weird not saying Grand Am anymore. In 2014 they are combining with ALMS to form the United Sports Car Racing.

I'll try to get replay sent tomorrow DP.

I would advise saving money in case we need to buy a car. Run and win cars & $ with whatever you win. I'm at &189k without a car purchase. I added power to s2k and winning NA sports series. Winning 4WD Challenge with Lancer I won.

As he mentioned, it is a prize car very early on (from the first Goodwood events). I'm sure you'll manage to attain it beforehand. You have until December 22 to learn the track anyway. ;) However it may be challenging, we may have to reconsider its use.

Might consider not putting all new tracks for the first event, just so that we don't find it overwhelming. I'll mention it to Stig...

I managed to gold Special Events 1-1 thru 2-3 took me 2 hours and I mite be litte hoarse for a day or two but it proves that anyone in this league is capable of doing so Hillclimb hints: 1) Make sure you check that the driving options are set to your preference I struggled the first hour because TC was set @ 5. 2) The grasses edge is actually bumper strips and can be used for turn stability and rotation.

Yeah got golds on every thing hill climb is fun very technical

Do you only get prize cars for golding events?

Does anyone else watch any kind of racing? NASCAR is not including.

Sorry son no "attaboy's" on the Hillclimb and I don't have time for any TV everything spare goes into GT. 👍
(You'd think I'd be a faster racer then? LMAO)

ok i finished the first goodwood events and am a few events shy of completing the national b events. ive only bought one car, my real life baby the 05 mustang gt. i also tried online for the first time. its pretty different but the dreaded black screen at race start is still in there. bathurst is pretty tricky. raced with 14 very good experienced drivers and there were many accidents and spinouts at bathurst using 400pp stock cars. there are areas you cant even consider going two wide. we will need to be very patient and smart about when to make our moves and when we absolutely need to relax, hang back and set up the pass properly. this new era is very exciting though. cant wait to get started

So all day yesterday I was watching British Touring Car racing on the youtubes. They have complete races. They run three in a weekend, with the third racing a revere starting grid of race 2. Sound familiar? lol They know how to race side by side and have action. The whole time I was watching it felt like a football player watching footage of what to do right. If we all watch some of these races, it'll give everyone a good idea of what's expected of them and we can see what we're striving towards.

I haven't raced online yet, I sort of assumed it would be chaos except for the "experts". And even so, unfamiliarity will bring it out. That's part of the reason I've held off and decided to do offline first. Even though it's not very exciting at all. Bathurst rewards patience indeed...

@DesertPenguin09 I do watch many series (what I can get on TV, and follow others online). I don't think BTCC is quite what we're after because in certain situations they don't hesitate to shove or punt someone off the the track. They do have a lot of close racing, and some of it is very good indeed - but for the aforementioned reason I can't 100% condone it.

I want to piggyback on the patient aspect. I have driven several races vs AI and have also noticed ALOT of these tracks will require drivers to be patient. I like the track with the between-the-walls esses at the top of a hill and long straights. I don't know the names yet. I think we should consider courses like Apricot Hill, Silverstone, Brands Hatch? (the "loopy" track in the desert); new courses with some room until we are "comfortable" with the new physics. It will punish you for braking late, going deep in turns, and/or barely touching grass off track. Racecraft, patience, respect is still our foundation.

In any organized racing theres a lot on the line for the teams, drivers and sponsors. For us not so much. We can afford to be much more patient then the pros so our racing should be much cleaner

All I'm talking about is the clean racing. When they do it well they do it really well. Just something to look at to get an idea of what it looks like when everything goes right.
