I think today went quite well. We had some brand new guys and each race seemed to have some great battles. I hope the "rookies" to the league enjoyed it and will make it a regular event.

As for the Rally race, it was far more fun and better than I expected. I was very concerned, but you guys handled it like true professionals you are. Thank BustedFoSho for talking me into that one. He gets all the credit. Busted, my hat's off to you. :bowdown:

EDIT: DIVISION changes in personnel (if any) will take effect 16 FEBRUARY. Prize winners' choices will be used on the 16th. Next week will be our ENDURO race. Start posting ideas.
 
STEWARDS NEEDED

We need 2-3 Stewards for each division. Preferably D1 rules on D2 & vice versa. Please post or start conversation with me if you are interested.

Thanks Coach but all the credit should go to the racers I was surprised to see how fast all of you were on dirt really good $H!T. You probably all wonder why I continue to race even though I get left in the dust race after race. It's a reasonable question and one I ask myself all the time LOL. I only started sim racing in July of last year. I rented GT5 from Gameskeeter and was instantly hooked. Truth be known I'm more into RPG's, Sports, & Adventure games. So I purchased GT5 in August and immediately set about finding & joining a racing league. That league was Turtles. A really great group of guys who helped me at every turn (no pun intended) I was very lucky for this because believe it or not I used to be way slower than I am now. I may not be a an experienced racer but I am an expert gamer in general, having owned almost every console ever manufactured and sold that was available in the US. Through all this I learned one major lesson that still rings true today for me and every other gamer. YOU ONLY GET BETTER BY PLAYING WITH PEOPLE THAT ARE BETTER THAN YOU. That's why when I saw Coach's thread and the settings and regulations he was using I knew that I had found the next step in sharpening my learning curve even more and I have many of you to thank for that. Since joining STaR I've gotten much better. It might not show so much here but over at TRL I can actually keep up with the pack now even managing a few podium finishes and for that I'm grateful. Thanks again to all of you! You guys rock

Edit: I'm now researching the next step in the progression of STaR's racing schedule. Touge is coming to STaR! Can't wait to see how we all do.

Hey bud hows the jobby job going? Hope it's going well. I doubt Coach will move up the start time. It's only 1PM on the west coast which is kind of early as it is. Touge is a type of race. Search the forum you'll find losts of threads.
 
@Luv2Coach have you gotten any suggestions for the endurance race? I have some :) is it going to be Spec Tuned or Race?

  2. XBOW's @ Matterhorn or Toscana
  3. Cobra's @ HSR (personal favorite)

Like the Viper, but I'd think it needs a bigger track like Fuji or Daytona/Indy RC in order to "let her stretch her legs". Be lucky to get out of 3rd or 4th gear at Seca.

Edit: I like GT500 Base Model or R35 TC at Motegi RC

I like this but not for an Endurance I hate the corkscrew couldn't bare doing it for 30 laps.

Have never done a GT500 endurance race before. So I like this the most after the Cobra @ High Speed Ring muahmuahuah

This has possibilities the tire wear would have to be turned up to fast because the RH tires won't wear fast enough. Coach won't deviate from our current tire regulations but we might be able to get him to tweak the settings for the event. Silverstone is too flat for my taste.
 
Normal tire wear with mandatory pit sounds cool, if we do fast tire wear we need time to practice fuel milenge, maybe we can do track that we hav not raced in series
 
Tires & fuel will come into play in an endurance race. Pit stops won't have to bemandatory. 7 laps at Spa in the Viper on Normal uses 1/4 tank of gas. Running 45 laps or so will make you pit at least once. I may bump to Fast just to put multiple stops into play.

Not sure it's my 1st time using sight I'm sure they have a make public button and just link it up err something similar I'll post 2mro keep the poles open as long as we can. HSR is in reverse now good looking out rice
