We will its called a pit. So smoke and go to the bathroom quickly.

Hopefully ill find time tonight to host a room and we can do a 15-20 lap race to get a better idea on tire wear and fuel consumption if anyone wants to join. I will post on here if I'm able to host a room.

wish I could make it. got the first round of my endurance series sunday. garayia gt300 base model at nurb gp/f 38 laps against super fast drivers. after my race I'd like to pop in and catch the finish of the star enduro. good luck everyone!

Idk when or if I can but if I do I will post here. Also to piggyback on that 15-20, we can also run one with Fast consumption to compare. Id like to have to get in 2 or more pits. However, we will not go beyond Fast.
 
On for a few minutes

Edit: I just ran some laps and found 8-9 laps = 1/4 tank on Fast setting. I thought that would work, it's too slow. 3 pist minimum is the goal. Pit strategy is part of racing. I think we will have to go to Very Fast. I don't want to set a mandatory pit count; I want pits to be necessary.
With mandated pit count sttategy is simple. Build big lead knock out pits. I'm a cerebral guy and like using the brain more than just for driving. Not only does one have to concentrate on driving but also figuring tirea & fuel thus pit strategy.

Indy is a great track for an endurance race? Do you really want to do the cork screw at Laguna for 100+ minutes?
@Luv2Coach Don't soft tires wear faster than hard just like racing wear faster than comfort? maybe tweak tire regs (just for Endura) to effect more pittings

Its an awful track! Laguna seca was just an example of a better track. Gt does not really have any good tracks though -_-

We will remain at Indy. I feel it's too late for a venue change. For me, laps are limited for practice or any online racing. I get an hour here and there. In a lobby I'm lucky to get 2-4 races. So I usually just run single to get ready for Sunday.

My take on Tire/Fuel: I like as real as can be on a simulator. Fuel and tires are the main ingredients to finishing a race, barring a wreck. Therefore, I prefer they both come into play.

I think max fuel consumption is a good idea with this car. And then at first I thought longer lasting tires would be better. Not shure now. I think the tire needs to wear fast enough to match the fuel load burning off.
That's the only question. But for shure Very Fast setting.

I think that will be standard settings foe the endurance race only.

We will have one driver moving up to D1 next week. If we get numbers like last week consistently we will run 2 rooms.

And just a suggestion for getting our name seen. When a S.T.a.R. driver hosts a room, might I suggest putting our name in the title. "S.T.a.R. Style Racing"; "S.T.a.R. practice"; "S.T.a.R.-Stock/Tune/RCs"... just trying to think of ways to get exposure for growth.

Amd finally; WE NEED RACE STEWARDS. A couple D2 drivers to steward D1 & vice versa. It may look as though I ruled subjectively to some rather than objectively; especially if I'm ruling on D1 drivers. This is a serious need for when we are running 2+ rooms/divisions.

Just as a warning, I've been doing extensive testing for my enduro today and there are major bugs. first, only your first set of tires will work properly every other set will be 1-2 seconds a lap slower and wear faster in the rear. second, fuel consumption isn't the same either after your first stop. you will consume more pay attention to the gauge. as a result you should start on the soft compound to maximize its speed. keep an eye on the tire wear gauge so you don't get stuck on bald tires limping around the track, be aware of fuel and tires at all times as their wear rates will not be consistent stop to stop. good luck guys, have fun!!
