I like racing but I am a Virgo perfectionist. If I don't have the time to devote to tuning a car and testing it then I don't want to subject myself to racing in a series that allows it. Simply because I know I will end up making excuses...not enough practice time, not enough tuning time etc etc.

I love the driving experience of PCars. The sounds and physics are to die for. But I have a soft spot in my heart for my odd GT6 street cars. Peugeot 206 Turbo anyone?

The over complicated interface, FFB and tuning have turned me off a bit. If GT6 had the PCar driving experience I'd have my perfect game.

I think part of the reason I like the street cars is because they couldn't be adjusted...so by default it was spec racing :)
In a full week, takes me one hour to have my car ready for the AOR league race.

You hit the nail on the head for me as to why I don't like tuning series or long length races too much either. I prefer to go in with little practice and have a good sprint race with others in a same situation.

Im in Niagara falls :indiff:

Nothin wrong with that! Enjoy!

In a full week, takes me one hour to have my car ready for the AOR league race.

No way I could only spend 1 hour to be prepared for a tuned race. If it was a new car I'd have at least 20 minutes driving it default to understand what I don't like about it. Then a minimum 4-5 laps for every setup change. Of course the more time you spend doing this the better your understanding of tuning and the quicker things go. For me the biggest problem is the addictive nature of quantification. There's always something to try. If there isn't, then I kinda know when I've reached my personal driving skill limit.

For instance, I know that I can pick up any of the three cars were racing tomorrow and do a low-mid 1:33 within 6 laps out of the garage. I know that about the limit of my skill. If it were tuning there's ??? time left out there that's NOT directly related to my driving skillset that I could be leaving on the table, and it COULD simply be a matter of putting in the time to find out what changes will get it for me. That's the addiction problem for me.

Lemme know if it holds up for adults. I was curious but I don't wanna waste time if it's not.
Great fun with an eight year old. Actually, I really liked Jack Black, and it's an OK movie if you're into fiction. Not time waisted by any means, but not as good as No Country For Old Men, The Departed, or some of my other favorites. Watched Grisham's The Rainmaker a couple nights ago, another classic favorite of mine.

Racing? Tonight? What car(s)? Is dark black still available? What about tires? Spec racing? I don't do spec racing. I don't do tuning either, tuning is for smart people. Ovals? Yeah, right. C+M, too much fun.....I hate laughing. The race is more than 5 laps? I don't do that. Pit stops? Nope. Driving smart in traffic? Nope again. Proud of being on the last chance list three times, yep. Has quit more races than he has entered. Hard to do. Has complained about almost every combo the WINNERS get to pick.

Sorry, I'm projecting. I'm just wondering why DP is even lurking this thread, he doesn't race or contribute anything positive to the series, running or not. I think he started and actually finished only once in the series.

After his snotty reply to the invite to C+M on the main spec page, yes it was taken by me and sooooooooo many others as you thinking you are too good to participate. No post other than, No thanks, would have sufficed. But again and again and........you keep bashing yourself in the head with a 2\4.

I'm done with ya, it was fun bashing you all this time, but it's not fun anymore. The subject of my just for fun abuse is too dense to take all the subtle and not so subtle hints to stop being such a disruption to the harmony of the whole Snail culture. If you showed up, raced, got better and kept your cerebral cortex away from the keyboard, you might become relevant again. Unti then....

Asta la vista Baaaaaaby.

P.S. Me, I can't wait for tonight , love the cars, love the concept and I love you all...... Except DesertChicken, I love that he won't be there, too bad though, I love lapping him.

Why would you think I think I'm too good to participate? I plainly said it's not what I'm into. Gimme a ****ing break. Good, you done complaining about the complainer? Have a great day.

Can we not start another nit-picking fest please?... I'd appreciate it if we could all back down a tad and just enjoy some racing.

Another one?....well, ok, if you insist. It is Sunday after all. As if that matters.

Wow, what pretty colors, oh, a squirrel, knives and forks sandune forever, right?

Ok, I'm ok now, I just took your advice, good idea. Hungry now.

That was a lot of fun guys. Good battles. It was a longer program than expected, but well worth it for something so off the beaten path.

I think it could use some minor tweaks if we ever did it again, but I enjoyed that very much. I hope everybody else did as well. :)

That was a lot of fun, late, but fun. I apologize for my f... F.... F... After spinning out. Forgot to mute.
Good night for my bum buddy Aero, way to go Steve. Z is gonna have to show me some tricks, he was on fire all night.
I would do this again anytime.

Looked like a pretty cool format/idea. Maybe you should have the top qualifier be in the slowest of the three cars based on quality times. Might make it even more random and fun. This really makes me want a ps4. Unless that means I have to race with joew. he is not happy unless he is racing some sillyly French car:)
