So in a way I was right. It's just timing. *Snore*
Well, you still have to deal with traffic, lap incidents, damaged vehicles, penalities, warnings, flags, etc. What racing isn't just timing? It's all about who laps the fastest anyway.

The 24 Hours of Le Mans last year was insanely fatiguing. Our stints were four hours long or so, I and think Mic and I did about 8-10 hours each because we were down a driver.

Turdles currently First in LMP3 with Choco at the wheel (I saw that goof up mid corner you bum! Don't do that again!)
Third in class in GT4. Not sure who's driving. :P
Shh, don't tell anyone. I think that was my only incident as far as off track. Clean stint.

Race 16: April 25, 2015 | Three - 30 Minute Races

Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X Rally Car | Racing Hard

Ascari Full Track | 14 Laps

DRIVERS MEETING

The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports

"It is the responsibility of the overtaking driver, meaning the car that is attempting to execute the pass, to make sure that the pass is made cleanly and incident free."

Rules

You are expected to follow The "Golden Rule" of Motorsports and adhere to the GTPlanet Online Racing Rules and exercise Good Racecraft at all times, especially in turn 1.

"Rubbin"

This is a non-contact sport. Let me put it another way, if you are "rubbin", you ain't racing in this league. We will not tolerate individual drivers taking the fun out of racing for everyone.

First Turn

You are not going to win the race on the 1st turn or the 1st lap. Therefore, it is the policy of this league for you to hold your position in turn 1. Holding your position in the first turn is limited to the first turn on the first lap. You must hold your position through the 1st turn and make no attempt to advance it unless the following situations occur: 1) The driver directly in front of you is asleep on the start. 2) The driver directly in front of you runs off course with at least 2 wheels off the track. 3) Obvious race incidents that must be avoided. Other drivers may draft past you before the approach (braking zone) to turn 1 if it can be done incident free. In other words, if you are able to fully draft past someone without incident or disruption to the other driver(s) with a reasonable distance before approaching the first turn you may.

This rule is in place for 2 reason: (1) to avoid incidents in the first turn, and (2) so that drivers doing their part to avoid incidents in the 1st turn of are not taken advantage of. There is no sense in causing an incident in the congestion of the first turn. Furthermore, it is inappropriate to take advantage of other drivers doing their part to keep turn 1 incident free. Once again, you may not attempt to pass once in the braking zone of the 1st turn of the 1st lap. If a complaint is filed, the decision we make will be one that promotes an incident free first turn.

Dive Bombing

Dive bombing is unacceptable
, and only results in accidents. It is not the same as passing under braking. Dive-bombing is when a trailing car intentionally brakes late to dive underneath the car in front of them as they are turning into a corner. The trailing driver must move to the low groove for at least 3-4 seconds prior to corner entry, so that the leading driver can see the trailing drivers intentions in his mirror. However, running the low groove is not a guarantee that he will allow you to pass, it is only an indication that you wish to pass him on the low side.

Procedures

Until everyone has accepted the TURTLE RACING LEAGUE "Community" invitation and we have more experience with the "Community" function we will run the races in an open lobby. Go to "Open Lobby" and check the "Friends Rooms Only" box and look for TURTLE RACING LEAGUE - FLEX RACING SERIES and enter. Races will begin at 10pm Eastern time.

Connection Issues

Please follow the procedures below to help minimize connection issues.
Step 1: Reboot your modem/router
Step 2: Reboot your PS3
Step 3: Clear your GT6 in game System Cache

Pit Stops

Drivers need to be very careful entering the race track when exiting the pit. Please look at your map to see if other drivers are near the pit exit. Drivers exiting the pit need to stay in the pit exit lane until the track is clear of cars on the track. Cars on the track have the right of way.

Quitting

Drivers are expected to finish races no matter what position they are in. Rage quitting is frowned upon! :grumpy:

Microphones

Although you are welcome to use microphones during the race, they should only be used to communicate your proximity to other drivers in order to avoid an incident. Otherwise, either mute them or make sure any background noise in non-existent.

Reminders

1: Hold your position and do not attempt advance in turn 1 of lap 1
2: If you go off track make sure the track is clear before you re-enter
3: If you cause an accident you must wait and give the position back
4: Watch for cars on the track coming out of the pit, stay to the inside
5: Keep Microphones muted during race unless advising your proximity
6: Drivers being lapped must let lapping drivers by without contesting

Race Incidents

Legitimate complaints are encouraged, they insure a better racing environment for everyone. Complaints should be addressed by "Private Message" to the race steward of the race in which the incident occurred. Please include race number, lap number, and time of incident. A ruling will be announced after a video review by an independent steward. All racing incidents or racing related issues shall be dealt with privately and under no circumstance mentioned publicly.

Final Note

Race Clean and Have Fun!

I am in if there is room. I always forget which league allows tuning (RUSH vs FLEX) so is tuning allowed or not?

Gotta get up somewhat early tomorrow, dont know if i will make it tonight.
Did you guys watch the GTP ES 4 hr? We couldnt pull it out at the end, but we led for most of the race. It was action packed, for almost the whole 4 hrs. I highly recommend you guys check it out.

I checked out the drivers meeting. (was very tired last week or I would have stayed to finish). Once again I will be in the Sky Blue Metallic car (if we are allowed to paint) with black wheels using number 11.

HEY THAT'S MY COLOR!

but i wont be there tonight, so it's all good.

I already changed my color scheme in this league once because of Dolph...

maybe we can be teammates. I'm #73
I'm not going to go down and let you take my colors without a fight!

I watched live, you were brilliant! 👍

You can paint the heck out of it! 👍

Great racing last night. Race 1: From 1st to last place 4 seconds. Race 2: From 1st to last place 6 seconds.

The first race was awesome. The second race my gas pedal potentiometer starting finally hitting the fan. It wouldnt hold full throttle and it would rev like 5-10% under braking. I just ordered three more from Thrustmaster (europe). Hopefully they get here fast.

Race Recap

This is going to be easy. Race 1 was complete action packed awesomeness (we almost drowned in "Awesome Sauce" after the race, that's how awesome it was) with only 4.546 seconds between 1st and last place. Race 2 was even awesomer because there was only 7.692 seconds between 1st and last place and I won. You all missed a great one!

Thoughts

This was kind of a sleeper event. On the surface it didn't seem to have the ingredients to make it exceptional, but it was. None of us expected it to be one of the most exciting races we have ever had. It's unfortunate this race was this weekend. There were so many other racing events going on several Turtles who would have normally raced didn't.

Both races were incredible. It's too bad you couldn't finish Race 2. I led it from beginning to end so I missed some of the action behind me. Very exciting nonetheless! 👍

Short and sweet. Nice job on the wins lightning and Psycho. That first race was incredible. We were packed in there like sardines almost all race long. I was leading with 3 to go. Less than a lap and one mistake later, I found myself in 4th. :ouch: The second race I made a mistake on lap 1 and could just never catch back up because everyone was putting down what seemed like perfect qualifying laps. Still very fun races though. 👍

One minor thing...my fast lap in race 2 was a 2:05.831 (maybe not the cleanest, but...). Not sure where the 2:07.462 came from.

Thanks for telling me. I will look at the replay again, sorry!

Update: That was your last lap time. I updated it to your blazing fast 2:05.831. :D
