How can you people drive this car??? I keep spinning every lap :yuck:
brake early and Late apex and manage the throttle out until you hit the late apex to go full throttle. thats just my experience so far with the car, their might be someone here who has tested this combo out that might be fast or has a faster way to get around the track

drop the HP to 80% engine downtuning. Run Laps until you get the hang of it. Then up it to 90% and try that. Then go to 100% and you'll be the boss. Personally, i think we should run the race at about 80% engine limiter. I think it would be more enjoyable for most.

Honestly, the lap times aren't much slower than 100% HP vs 90%. Unless you're Tom Kristensen of course.

So, Psycho, what is the penalty going to be for running wide at Copse (turn 9 below)? Guys are going to run wide there and gain loads of time. GT6 does not give a penalty. So we either need to just tell everyone to run wide so we're on an even playing field or incur stiff penalties to force drivers to comply with the track limits.

I was worried about that myself. How many seconds do you think would be fair?

30 seconds the 3rd time you do it and thereafter. i bet noone would do it.

And i am not referring to making a mistake and losing control and going wide, that doesn't gain time. But simply not caring about how late you brake and taking it wide. "Oops"

There is an art to taking that corner, but in every race i have ever run here, drivers take it wide more than is justifiable. I don't have a solution other than just letting everyone do what they want there. I just wish PD would give a small penalty there for going over the curbs.

Wow, you must be having a good day. I was thinking you would want an instant DQ and set them on fire for good measure. Seriously though, if it is intentional maybe 3 seconds for the 1st offense, 5 seconds for the 2nd offense, 10 seconds for the 3rd offense, DQ for the 4th offense. How does that sound?

It will be easy enough to tell if someone is cutting that corner intentionally or incidentally.

When I have an incident like that I usually lift off the gas til I'm back on the track to take away any advantage I may have got, and I don't try to make a pass after it. Like in en rouge at spa I got loose a little and short cut at the top. I was behind psycho, but didn't pass even though I would have passed from drafting without the shortcut.

Thanks man!

When I ran Turtle i remember we had an event at Silverstone, and I basically put a long post on a few of these turns and to sum it up is what Lightening said above which was to let off the gas until at least 2 tires are back on track. Also i said it might happen that you slip off the track on accident but its your responsibility to take the Turtle balls to return back on track safely, if you went off track and their is a car right next to you, you simply cant shove your way back onto the track.

Also mentioned if someone kept doing it lap by lap by lap, they would get dqed. I also showed an example in pictures on the thread with Clean Vs Dirty as well as showing example early in the room on gt6 so everyone that came to the race understood the boundaries, which i believe we had no complimants that race 👍

Just my 2 cents on it.

Yep, that is what everyone should do, self penalize so to speak, no advantage gained. Unfortunately...👎

sounds good, but people cut the hell out of that corner in that race (ran wide). I still have video, but decided to let it go and not file any complaints. That was also a much slower car, where it was much easier to take that corner. it will be more difficult this week.

i say, lift off the gas or you get a penalty. but who the hell wants to spend all day reviewing film and doling out penalties?

Damn Double Posting Mic! :mad::

How did practice go anyway? crushed that i missed it. Was working all evening 🤬👎👎👎:irked:

I hear what your saying. I believe that if you notice a driver cutting it lap by lap by lap, then just pm a steward and he will just take a quick look at it. I know no one wants to review film for hours.

I will catch a lot more things now that I am doing video. Just tell me the lap and the offender and I'll find it easily enough.
